September- My husband and I visited on a whim, and we felt a warm welcome from when we stepped out of our vehicle; classy old r&b tunes were playing. Kevin came over to greet us, tell us about the lavender farm features (best blooming time is July) and mentioned the quality products they sell. He was super personable and not pushy with sales, but i bought a soap, bath oil and garlic-lavender-pepper seasoning and all are great! In addition to Kevin's hospitality, we enjoyed walking the lavender rows, the subtle aromatherapy, and sitting in the Adirondack chairs under beautiful trees. We hope to return soon!

Had a great time coming by this lavender farm! The owner was very sweet and showed me around the products and area. I ended up picking a lavender bundle which was a fun experience and tried lots of products. Would definitely recommend stopping by here!!!

We had the pleasure of sitting with Ginger, the owner, and listen to her tell us her story and some history about her land.

I have visited Kiyokawa at farmers markets before (they're at 13 of them!), but this month was the…read morefirst time I went out to their farm in Parkdale, OR. This is a third generation farm - their grandparents immigrated from Japan in the early 1900s. It's almost 300 acres and they've got apples, pears, peaches, cherries, berries, and probably more. The farmstand is open July through November. They've got a pick your own/U-pick options. They specialize in growing over 150 different varieties of apples, pears, cherries, and stone fruit. Their website is pretty up-to-date on which fruit are available at any given time. I really enjoyed stopping into the marketplace for a wide selection of pre-picked fruits, some of which had samples available. They were priced by weight and I was very pleased with the cost in the end ($12 for so many apples!).

Love Kiyokawa. First off, the scenery is beautiful in Parkdale surrounded by all the fruit trees…read moreplus the mountain. And this orchard is so fun to visit in mid-October during harvest time. They have wagon rides, a big fort for kids, an apple variety tasting, and dozens & dozens of apples and pear varieties for sale. We filled up a box of cosmic crisps to take home, plus loaded up on a bunch of jugs of honey for the year - 3 lbs for $24 is a great deal. I also walked through the orchard and loved that they labeled all the rows of trees so you can see all the many varieties. They had apple cider and apples with caramel sauce as samples while waiting in line. While I'm disappointed that the apple tasting still costs as much as last year, the experience is otherwise great and I'll be back.
