In addition, both shared a medicinal "cough syrup" background flavor and caused an immediate blood sugar spike in a sugar-sensitive family member who routinely consumes genuine raw honey safely. My family eats raw honey straight and unmixed daily - and I have consumed mostly dark crystallized varietals like buckwheat for over 40 years - making us highly attuned to atypical textures and glycemic profiles. I appreciate that the seller promptly accepted a return and processed a full refund, although I covered return shipping. To summarize: a responsive, knowledgeable seller - yet the product didn't meet my criteria for raw unadulterated honey.

This is a third generation farm - their grandparents immigrated from Japan in the early 1900s. It's almost 300 acres and they've got apples, pears, peaches, cherries, berries, and probably more. The farmstand is open July through November. They've got a pick your own/U-pick options. They specialize in growing over 150 different varieties of apples, pears, cherries, and stone fruit. Their website is pretty up-to-date on which fruit are available at any given time. I really enjoyed stopping into the marketplace for a wide selection of pre-picked fruits, some of which had samples available. They were priced by weight and I was very pleased with the cost in the end ($12 for so many apples!).
