Lovely cafe with front and rear seating there's also a courtyard with a bunch of picnic tables. There's some lovely snack snacks as well as the frittata and quiche's look amazing. I'll definitely be back for that or the empanadas and chicken pot pie. This would probably be a good spot on a warm day as there is outdoor spots as well.

Pesto and egg panini

Stopped by this cafe for late breakfast and was thoroughly disappointed. My friend ordered the chef's burrito and coffee, and I got the pesto & egg panini. The menu did not mention the panini would come with some kind of butter or mayo, but when I received the sandwich, there was a white spread on one side of the bread. I don't eat butter or mayo so only ate one side of the bread. I also didn't like how the eggs weren't real, cracked eggs. It was a very minimal panini and was not worth the price. My friend said the burrito tasted bland, and even told me not to try it. I will not be returning. Service was mediocre. Atmosphere was cozy.

Cute and cozy spot, perfect for breakfast or lunch. Love their interior and ambience. Their Pesto Panini was delicious. Pesto was super flavorful and bread was nice and fresh. Unfortunately, the Burrito was very bland...Skip it. Would try their biscuit next time. For drinks, their Smoothies were fun. You can add espresso shots to them too.

What a cute little cafe! I stopped in early one morning before my conference and it was everything I was hoping for and more- cute interior, delicious food, and strong coffee. While I enjoyed the breakfast burrito, their fruit and yogurt parfait was the stand out item. It had so many fresh fruits and the perfect granola to fruit to honey ratio. They were generous with the fruits and it wasn't just a bowl of yogurt with a sprinkle of everything else. I also like seeing cafes with different syrup flavors and they nailed it with their lavender syrup.

I'm glad that I don't live in the area. Otherwise, I'd eat here every day. Flaky crust, savory filling... lots of vegan options. The empanadas are huge. I had a cappuccino and split a pastry. It was plenty filling for me. Tranquil music in the background and espresso machine going. My kind of place!

Came across this cafe as I was in town. Cute cafe, staff were friendly. I ordered the spinach cheese pie, latte, & cappuccino. Pie was good just a bit salty. The side salad had a few leaves that were going bad. You have to bus your own table so be sure to clean up after yourself. Overall very cute cafe and great place to grab a coffee & bite.

Love this cafe. We stumbled upon this cafe when we tried diy bar. The amazing ambiance, lovely service, delicious food, everything was perfect here. We ordered some drinks and then frittata bite, some biscuits with jam, and each one of them was delicious and freshly baked. There's outside seating at the back of the cafe with beautiful trees around. It was kind of hidden gem If you are around this place, do visit, and you would love this place. When we visited this cafe, they had some of the beautiful art pieces by Ursula Barton, which were really good. My friend bought one art piece over there.

Breakfast empanada

OMG this was one of my favorite places to eat during my visit to Portland for the first time. Not only do they accommodate the vegetarian and vegan diet, but they do it with flavor! I got the breakfast empanada with all of my favorite ingredients. They warmed it up for me on the panini grill and I ate it with a side of sour cream and tapatio hot sauce. Everything came together so perfectly that I ate it all. It's a nicely sized empanada too, worth your buck. This empanada was so good that I considered bringing another one back on the plane with me but then came to my senses and realized I shouldn't because of the egg/dairy and the possibility that it may spoil. I would definitely get this if I visited Portland again and highly recommend to others who are thinking about visiting. They also have plenty of other yummy pies and pastries that I would consider trying next time. The service was great. The man who took my order was very cordial and answered all of my questions. I appreciated him.

Nice quaint cafe for a filling breakfast. Staff was super friendly and the food was yummy. Cafe was well lit, welcoming and clean. Didn't mind at all we had to bus our own table. I had the Potato and Leak Breakfast Pie which was savory and a nice change from sweets for breakfast and my latte was great. Hubby has the Buttermilk Biscuits and Gravy. He said they were pretty good for not being from The South. They have a couple items for sale like t-shirts and also have a shelf of free books.

Breakfast Empanada

Grabbed a potato leek breakfast pie, a breakfast empanada, a pesto breakfast panini, and a slice of their browned butter honey, lemon curd & thyme pie. Browned Butter Honey Pie with Lemon Curd & Thyme: Favorite thing I picked up that morning, but the slice was pretty small. It was delicious and I would definitely buy again if I came back, however, the flavor wasn't lasting enough that I foresee cravings in the future. Potato & Leek Breakfast Pie: Most flavorful savory item. It reminded me of Indian samosa filling minus the curry/turmeric flavor with a nice pizza like crust. But still nothing I'd imagine craving for. Breakfast Empanada: Myself and my Hispanic husband were highly unimpressed and kind of sad that this was called an empanada at all. The filling was mostly flavorless and just very potato-y. I had to break out the hot sauces to spice it up. There was some sausage in there, but definitely not enough sabor (flavor) to call it an empanada. Pesto Breakfast Panini: Just a regular old breakfast sandwich with a little bit of pesto. Not enough flavor packed into the pesto and not enough pesto to give this sandwich a lot of thrill. The sandwich itself wasn't warmed or pressed enough to give it those good panini grill marks or warmth. Would definitely go to a different spot like Fried Egg I'm In Love for a proper breakfast sandwich. With so many great options in Portland, unfortunately this one is not one to add to the favorites list. Would consider grabbing a potato leek breakfast pie and a slice of browned butter honey pie if I was in the area, but wouldn't come seek this place out. Probably a great grab and go spot for the people that live in the area. I loved that they were open at 0700 when us night shifters want to grab a bite after work.

Honey Latte

Nice, cozy neighborhood cafe. Stopped by to grab some coffee before my session at the DIY bar next door. They have a pretty standard selection of drinks with some seasonal specials. I got their honey latte. The staff were really kind and let me customize the drink. I requested to substitute milk out for oatmilk and wanted just a little bit of honey instead of the usual amount they put it. The drink was delicious, one of the best lattes that I've ever had. There is also a variety of homemade pasteries available, including quiches, which I dont see often as an option at cafes. Overall - I made a quick stop to grab coffee, and it was well worth it. I will be back again next time to try their lunch menu, which looks really good.

I hear that you do monthly dinners. Can you tell me more about what to expect?

The dinners are multiple courses, with full service (rather than counter service). The cost is $40 and includes both gratuity and a glass of wine or beer. Generally they happen on the 2nd Thursday of the month.

The food cart is located in a little gated square, along with several other carts. The central dining area is great-- space is plentiful, there are tented and untented tables, and it is very clean. The food cart space is located on Albina, which means you can easily make an afternoon of your outing. There are a ton of small shops and boutiques around with pretty much anything you can imagine. Chubby Bunny doesn't have anyone outside to take your order. Instead, you order on a big tablet and they text you when your food is ready. I'll admit I actually hate ordering on tablets because I miss getting to chat with a human being, but that was the only negative thing about this experience and I know a lot of people vastly prefer the no contact options. I got the Sandwich Week Breakfast Sandwich (fake eggs and meat with a spicy sauce on a pretzel bun) and a hash brown. It was INCREDIBLE. I was a little skeptical to try the fake eggs (I am a vegetarian, not a vegan), but I couldn't tell a difference at all. I get why they call themselves "accidentally vegan"-- it absolutely tasted like the real deal. The sandwich was large, flavorful, and the sauce had such an excellent zing. The hash brown was perfectly crispy. This was a great meal and for $10, it was a great deal too. We will absolutely return.

I have heard of Chubby Bunny, but until now, I have not tried them out. They are a food truck located in a pod on Alberta Street. I was able to park close by in the neighborhood. When I entered the pod, I found Chubby Bunny right away. I was planning on paying with cash, but I saw a sign to use the kiosk. The kiosk was handy, but pay with a card. I thought oh well. But when I went to the window, I saw a sign to ring the bell if you were picking up an order, paying cash or had questions. I decided to get another sandwich to go, so I rang the bell and paid cash for it. When my first sandwich was ready, they called my name. I sat at a small outdoor table next to the food truck. The Nice Bunny, which was the special for sandwich week, was really good! It consisted of Fried Spamm, egg, melted provolone cheese, Creole mustard, on a toasted pretzel bun. 100% Secretly Vegan. It was really satisfying! I definitely plan on returning to try other menu items!

RELEASE THE RECIPE FOR THAT AÏOLI!!…read more I ordered the vegan roasted turkey and I will say this HANDS DOWN THE BEST VEGAN SANDWICH IVE HAD TO DATE. It was beautifully presented fully loaded and extremely filling. I was able to eat half a sandwich and save the rest for later. Both times I've only stopped by for pick up, so I cannot really comment about the dining-in. Although, the place does appear very clean. And there are plenty of tables for dining-in as well as a pretty large patio area. As for service, it's always been with a smile, so no issues picking up. The Lunch Combo Sandwiches that I've tried: ~ Roasted Turkey ($16.50) with good sized turkey slices, smaller bacon slices, some cheddar, sweet slices apple, some arugula (meh), and a tasty pesto aioli. All served on a heavy ciabatta hoagie. Also with a dill pickle spear and some Spicy Dill Pickle chips. The sandwich was very thick. The ciabatta was a bit soft, but dense enough to hold things together. Loved it! ~ Second try, it was 'a must' that I order the Reuben ($16.50). Which came with good slices of pastrami, Swiss cheese nice and melted, some kraut, and house Russian dressing on "marble rye." YES, MARBLE RYE!!! I despise pastrami sammies with regular oat bread lol. Better Half does it right! I only wish it were more wet versus being a clean sandwich. Again, this is definitely filling, and now I understand why this place servers half a sandwich. Next time I'm goin' for something adventurous like their Pork Mojo or a Jackfruit Mojo sammie. Maybe. Check them out!
