This nursery IS THE BEST. I came into Thicket with just a small cat pot I had found at Anthropologie. They took that cat pot, found the absolute cutest little succulent for it, and then offered to pot it and add little green and blue beads for no extra charge!! And the succulent was so inexpensive it blew me away. I cannot sing their praises highly enough, I am so in love with my little new succulent friend and how nice and wonderful she was at Thicket. Beyond that, I love their outdoor location and amazing selection of plants and succulents (both indoor and outdoor). They also have classes!

Alocasia, can't wait to repot this guy!

My best friend and I just found this hidden gem after lunch, and what a heavenly find. One of the workers, Ashely, she was so welcoming and so helpful. I found a beautiful Alocasia that I was so happy to take home. I am eager to go back because they have a wonderful fiddle leaf tree that is calling my name. If you're ever in the area, I highly suggest stopping by!

    Mini succulents for party favors

I bought about 50 mini succulents here for my sons christening party favors and my guest just loved them. I came back for more and bought some for myself. The people who helped me are beyond awesome and answered all my question. A very unique, relaxing place gives the customer a stress free experience. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent nursery!

I was super inspired but so many plants they have. That native plants section is amazing!! We did a slow wander and came inside to continue to want to purchase everything! A favorite shop to me has a bit of everything. I want to be a person whose home is full of plants but I have four cats.... I would genuinely be bringing them home to murder house. One entire table is dedicated to the wonderful work of Ida Galash - she paints rocks and makes floating coy and frogs - I have them in my pond sense I can't afford to buy sushi (aka real live coy) for the local raccoons - they have cracked a few open just to make sure that they are not real. I wanted almost everything in that room! Somehow I managed to resist - but I got 2 of Ida's frogs, 4 bee magnets, a lovely white porcelain snail and a perching crow , who will look stunning when I place her on my house! My friend was sweet enough to buy me a outdoor stone frog. I encountered several employees who were so sweet - I even shared some bug stories with one! This shop is a great example of a place that makes you enjoy shopping. And yes, some of the things are very expensive, but, there are plenty of things that are very reasonably priced also. It is curated very well, I saw so many things I have never seen at other places. Clearly , somebody took the time when buying things for the shop - details matter. I also appreciate a lot of local offerings down to dried flower boutonnieres. If anyone needs this for a dance, a wedding... wear one to brunch!

I also love that Portland nursery hosts different groups like the Oregon Cactus & Succulent Society throughout the year, where you can view & buy plants directly from the cultivator. I thought this would be mostly flavor spicy, but it was actually REALLY hot spicy. I couldn't actually finish it between not being thrilled with the flavor and the spiciness. I would come back and try a latte, perhaps with their house made butterscotch and rosemary syrup, but I likely won't go too far out of my comfort zone next time.
