The associates are really into candles and the business. They also have every other type of wax or scented paraphernalia. The store entrance is a bit crowded, I suppose trying to catch everyone's attention who is passing by and try to lure them inside. They will ask for all of your personal information and enter it into their corporate database "so you can have a customer ID". I don't like it when they do that. It was like the old Radio Shack where even if you were buying one triple-A battery, they asked for your phone number. Same here. We had a girls day out and decided to visit Reminiscent for their candle making class. You can either purchase tickets ahead of time on their website or walk in to the class if there are spots available. It was a very nice experience! The ambiance was chill and relaxing with the whole vibe of the class being 90s R&B and Hip Hop inspired. We were able to pick the glassware for the candle, there is one type included and for a slight up charge you can pick a larger vessel for your candle. The class is relatively simple and Ashley (the awesome owner) will walk you through the process of picking a scent, naming your candle, and then step by step creating your own unique candle. Once the class is completed it takes about an hour and a half for the candle to be ready for pickup. The shop is located in an area with tons of restaurants and other stores so it's a good idea to walk around or grab food while you wait. There is also a shipping option. I would definitely will return for another class!

The decorum is super dope, channeling things 80/90s R&B and HipHop! There are a variety of candle scents to choose from. The first time I went, we made our candles, then did some black culture trivia which was really fun. Make sure you team up with a group who is up on black movies, music and entertainment! The second time I went, we made candles, then sang karaoke; we had a blast! On my third visit, we made our candles, but ran out of time and weren't able or engage in other activities unless we paid an additional fee. Overall, it's a good experience for a date with your significant other or a girls' date. Check it out!

I made a large order before Christmas. The delivery time was long. When the package was delivered, I went downstairs to grab it and found the box open and empty. I have NEVER had a package stolen or damaged. This is NOT normal for my neighborhood. I immediately emailed the company and they told me that since I did not opt to pay the extra "delivery insurance," there was absolutely NOTHING they can do. I think it's odd that I didn't pay an extra fee for some insurance (on top of a delivery fee) that I've never even heard of before, and then my package arrived open and empty. I wish I could write a positive review about the cute candles photographed on this company's site, but unfortunately I just gave them my money, got ZERO product, and poor / unhelpful customer service.

When I visited this past Saturday and ended up not feeling well the staff was absolutely fantastic and so kind. I was greeted as I walked in the door by Monica, and we chatted about how busy it was because the parking lot was packed! She answered my questions about tax free weekend, and told me about the sales. As I was finishing my shopping trip at the register, I began to feel faint so I asked to sit down for a moment. As I was sitting trying to collect myself, my cashier Riley stayed with me the whole time! She talked with me, reassured me, and brought me water. Monica also came back to check on me. When I was feeling better Riley walked me to the door, to make sure I was alright. I am so grateful for the incredible customer service. Everyone there was so very kind and caring.
