I think because they are the only Sephora in the area. They always have the latest fragrances and one of my favorite places to go for fragrances.

I rarely have good finds at JCPenney let alone this particular location. One of the only reasons I…read morego in now is because they have a Sephora inside their store. As for the women's clothing, I do think their target audience is either juniors (14-16 years old) and seniors (over 65). I never seem to really find any clothes I like here. One thing I do like is their jewelry selection. I'm looking for chokers at the moment, and they are sure hard to come around in the other stores I've gone to. Since JCpenney has a huge junior's section, I knew I could find it here. I ended up purchasing a choker/necklace set here for $24. I do think they spike the price of their items up front. I know just by looking at that price, I wasn't going to be paying that, and luckily it did turn out to be 50% off. So deals are expected here. I know department stores like this are slowing dying down, and in my opinion I don't see this particular location lasting 5-10 more years. When I go to the Galleria, I usually hit up Macy's, Von Mauer, and Belk....so I do think JCPenney has room for improvement.

After checking out the Riverchase Galleria, I decided I was going to stop at JC Penney first! Since they appear to be one of the anchor stores, I was dropped off there by my Uber driver and walked in. The familiar feel of a JCP came back to me quickly and I walked through their large store to check out their merchandise. JCP, in my opinion, always had a great selection of quality clothing items at very good prices. Their sales were also really good, from what I last remembered. As I checked out their self-help shoe section, I noticed they had several nice pair marked down, 50 percent off! What a deal! These were for shoes that would have costed me an arm, a leg and a foot back in Hawaii! It was less than the price of an arm here! The sales here were pretty darn good, and I noticed a bunch of anxious customers standing around the sales counters, asking for "coupons." I found out they had a sale going where Sales Associates were handing out additional $10 off coupons to customers, and some of these customers were down right rude! But I also noticed how the Sales Associates were all friendly and patient with them as they dealt with their demands! After checking out their souvenir section, most of the Alabama products were on sale and with the additional discounts, worth every penney! Get it?! I opened another JCP credit card account and was given an additional 15 percent off all day shopping spree for doing that, plus, was able to get deferred billing (no interest if paid in full within a year) because I went off! Not attitude wise, but shopping-wise! An overall pleasant shopping experience here! Praises to the several Sales Associates I dealt with, who were all very pleasant and courteous, despite the demands of the impatient customers! Free ample parking in the private parking lot there and a large variety of items in-stock for you to choose from! If you're ever in Alabama, you've got to visit this place, if only to reminisce!

I love all the bright colored soaps and of course it smells amazing inside. They had a fun sale going on, but 5, get 2 free. We ended up purchasing a soap from the kids section and a mini body scrub. She patiently helped me pick out the right scent for me and we spoke for a bit. I love when a young person starts their own business and picks a career and lifestyle that is honorable. Please go visit this wonderful kiosk located in the galleria. She has plenty of bath products such as homemade soaps, scrubs and gorgeous candles as well. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, but she was so sweet and helpful. She walked me through everything I needed to dye my hair pink and my sister's hair 'dirty mermaid' color. She was able to give me all the information I needed to know to successfully do the coloring. She was so informative. I never caught her name, but I told her I wasn't having the best day and she made sure to make my time there enjoyable. I went in about an hour prior to close and she greeted me so nicely and we just talked. I was really grateful that she was able to help me. I wish I got her name. She was such an angel. The store was very clean and I was able to get in and out rather quickly, with product and everything I needed to know.

Went to a beauty store with my parents and son too. The employee (older white blonde female) says to me " it's that papaaa out there with your baby". "He is so handsome and his features are going to be so beautiful does he look like his father?" So we just go up to counter to pay and then mom approached the counter but with her loud voice talking fast because she was excited with something she was going to buy. The lady again says "WHAT LANGUAGE ARE YOU SPEAKING. YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD SPEAK ENGLISH..." and hen smirks. I say HELL NO AND SHE IS SPEAKING SPANISH and!!!!! I had been ordering wigs online for a while, but I wanted a change -- especially when you're investing in real hair, you really need to see it in person and try it on before spending that kind of money. I had looked at a few other stores before, but hadn't had any luck. Beauty and Beyond wasn't far from me, so I decided to give it a try. Right away, I was impressed -- the store is huge, incredibly clean, and has an amazing assortment of lace wigs. I'll be honest, I was hoping to work with a woman, but then Khalifa stepped in to help me, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was so patient and kind -- he told me to take my time, and when I asked how many wigs I could try on, he said three. He never made me feel rushed or pressured, not even for a single moment. I selected three to try, and honestly? The very first one was perfect. I tried all three just to be sure, but the first one was the one. Khalifa was genuine in his feedback -- when he said it looked great, it felt real, not like a sales pitch. While I was there, another customer came in who had purchased from the store before and was back for more -- she said her hair always gets compliments. That meant a lot to hear! The wig I purchased was 100% Remy human hair, and yes, it was an investment -- but absolutely worth every penny. That same evening I wore my new hair to a birthday party and got so many compliments! Then the next day at another event, people who know me well came up and said, "Did you cut your hair? You look amazing!" Nobody realized it wasn't my own hair -- they all thought it was!
