Cannot return online items at this location (or any other Sephoras inside JCPennys)…read more Staff are friendly but it's definitely a smaller store and thus a smaller selection of products. If you're looking to buy something in particular, I'd suggest calling to see if it's available at this location.

I had looked for an item online and it was listed as bring at Sephora but unknown to me not at their inside JCP outposts. But even though it's small it's very busy and they only had one lady working. She was very helpful but clearly overwhelmed. One person was needing what sounded like a full makeover, and there were at least three more of us looking for items. But I thought she did as good a job as possible under the circumstances, helping each person personally and keeping us informed, she gave the makeover lady a few things to think about, excused herself to help me at the checkout indicating that she would be right back and acknowledged a person entering the area as she traveled between the two of us. And she didn't rush me through the transaction either which was nice, I didn't feel like an imposition to her. So because the service was good and helpful I didn't feel like I would rate it as a two, even though they don't carry everything. I did end up purchasing a small, less expensive sample of a product that I had been wanting to try but not at full price. I was happy to discover a small trial of a highly rated mascara product for $12 instead of the $25 for a full size. They have a rack of mini products near the checkout. If your unsure about a new thing I'd check here to see if a sample is available. In the future I'll call before I drive over to be sure they have what I want, it saves time over going to the mall, easy in and easy out, but only if they have what you need.

The staff that was there when I visited was pretty young, which could explain the laid back vibe--but they were all very nice, helpful, and super knowledgeable, which was awesome. Starting with the not so great: - A downside to this particular place is that instead of choosing different scents to mix, they already have them pre-mixed. For example, champagne and clean linen scents are already combined, rather than letting you choose and mix them yourself. Since it's structured this way, it does speed up the process, but I will say there are still a few pre-mixed scents you can mix together that would probably turn out smelling great. - When I went to pick up my candle a few days later, I was disappointed to find that it was damaged. Not sure how it happened, but I was shocked when I unwrapped it to discover it was chipped. Even more disappointing was that the staff wrapped a damaged item without mentioning it to me. On the positive side: - It's BYO food and drinks, which we loved. My friends and I brought a bottle of prosecco, charcuterie, and quiche to enjoy. Our server let us eat, drink, and chat before starting the candle pouring, which was perfect for catching up! - Parking is easy - Gorgeous vessels to choose from - Reasonably priced They also have a little gift shop with an assortment of trinkets!

They have a wide selection of vessels to choose from for pouring your candle. You first choose a vessel and the price varies. Then you choose your scent from the scent bar. As you wait there is a small shop to browse, as well as photo opportunities. Once we understood what steps we needed to do then it was simple and they walked us through the quick instructions. We return in a few days to pick up our finished product.

From the moment we walked in, it was cozy chaos (they were busy, of course!), but Rebecca made the whole experience absolutely fabulous! We picked our scents, jotted them down, and chose our candle jars. Picking a candle name is always my favorite part! Rebecca was a total pro, giving spot on recommendations for which scents paired best together. I wasn't loving my top three picks at first. We actually ended up swapping scents from each other's selections, and it turned out AMAZING! The value is great for the experience. Our jars were just under $40 each I believe, but they have a variety of jar options starting at $25, plus a larger, higher value option for those who want it. Penn and Beech is perfect for a GNO, date night, or even a team building event with work. Fun, interactive, and totally IG worthy, definitely a Valentine's Day win!

I especially appreciated her interest/participation in smelling the combos when mixed. Would love to have her help again next visit! Looking at all the scents in the store, the selection could seem overwhelming! But you are encouraged to take your time as you pick out your favorites. It is worth the time to evaluate and see what 2-3 scents you want to mix up. Value: The experience is priceless! But to make your own candle and have a drink could run about $30-$40, and I think it was worth it. This place is perfect for a slow chill day when you need calming, or even a date night! I'm definitely coming back!

Returns and online order pickup are both at the checkout in the men's department. This line is often long and always seems to move very slowly. Despite the long waits in the checkout lines this is my favorite JC Penney location. The store is well organized and orderly. I often order online and pick up in the store. I especially like curtains, bedding, and home decor from Penney's, and the online selection is extensive. The parking lot in front of the store is large and there is limited parking near the side entrance.

I placed my order on Jan. 4 and didn't get my ready for pickup email until Jan. 15, which I thought was a little slow--but it wasn't something I needed urgently, so I let that slide. The ready for pickup email had a convenient link to allow me to choose between coming inside to pick up the item or using their curbside service. I decided to try curbside, pulled into one of their clearly-marked spaces in the parking lot (this area is in the large parking lot that is shared with Ulta, Red Robin, etc. - not on the other side of the building), and told them which space I was parked in. I waited about 10 minutes and then checked the web page I'd used to check in. There was an error in red that said "We're having some trouble, please continue to wait or try again later." I decided to just go inside to see if I could quickly grab my item, but the lines were really long, so I just left and went home. About 5 minutes later, I got a call from a JCP associate apologizing for not being able to get my item out to me more quickly. I wasn't able to run back over there, but I went back the next day and repeated the curbside process, and this time I had my item within minutes. Overall, I think this was a positive experience and think it's a good place to consider when you're shopping around for bargains--they often seem to have really good sales and coupons on top of those sales.
