So much fun creating our own mix of scents for our custom candles! Celebrated my birthday w daughters and sat at the bar with the guide who helped us narrow down which smells would work best together. At times overwhelming but somehow able to get a combo that smelled divine. My 3 were: white rice, black peppercorn and baked bread. Sounds strange but smelled beautiful. Also like that both soft drinks and hard drinks available- relaxing with a glass is wine- nice and relaxing ! It's a bit pricey so definitely something that's a once in awhile treat- I would love to make a candle every week! Beautiful facility too! I'm hooked! read more

This is another great location for Penn & Beech, right in the heart of downtown Fishers. A friend and I had a great overall experience here outside of feeling a bit rushed towards the end. The staff member assisting us was very kind, super knowledgeable about which scents blend well together, and even recommended a few to help round out my friend's candle scent. I love that they have cups of coffee beans tucked among the shelves full of different scents (necessary). After visiting other locations over the years, I also appreciate a brand new selection of candle vases to choose from that I have never seen before. What more could a girl ask for on Valentine's Day than a night at Penn and Beech creating your own candle? From the moment we walked in, it was cozy chaos (they were busy, of course!), but Rebecca made the whole experience absolutely fabulous! We picked our scents, jotted them down, and chose our candle jars. Picking a candle name is always my favorite part! Rebecca was a total pro, giving spot on recommendations for which scents paired best together. I wasn't loving my top three picks at first. We actually ended up swapping scents from each other's selections, and it turned out AMAZING! The value is great for the experience. Our jars were just under $40 each I believe, but they have a variety of jar options starting at $25, plus a larger, higher value option for those who want it. Customer Service: Rebecca was very attentive and knowledgeable!! She was quick to check if we needed anything and was so patient with giving her scent combo recommendations. I especially appreciated her interest/participation in smelling the combos when mixed. Would love to have her help again next visit! Looking at all the scents in the store, the selection could seem overwhelming! But you are encouraged to take your time as you pick out your favorites. It is worth the time to evaluate and see what 2-3 scents you want to mix up. Value: The experience is priceless! But to make your own candle and have a drink could run about $30-$40, and I think it was worth it. This place is perfect for a slow chill day when you need calming, or even a date night! This experience was such a vibe! From the music, to the candles, to their service...everything was so chill and perfect! It was our first time going and Grant was so helpful and very knowledgeable! He was very attentive and helped us make great decisions for our scents! It smells amazing in there due to all the scents and the lighting is perfectly bright enough but also dim! They even offer a drink menu which is a nice touch! The pricing really isn't bad...you pay the price of whatever vessel you choose! They're running a special of buy 3 get a 4th free which is what we did! We were pleased with the pricing for the experience and the number of candles we were able to create! Date nights are the best nights! I love candles so this was perfect & so thoughtful. I've been to the Carmel & Downtown locations and always have a great experience so I was excited to try the new Fishers location. There's so many scents to choose from so it's always hard to decide on the type of candle I want to make. This time I decided on a vanilla/amber scent. There's also so many different types of vessels to choose from, I chose a signature branded one. I can't tell you the full prices (remember this was a date night haha) but I think it was worth it. Ben was amazing! 10/10 he was funny & kept us entertained as we made the candles. We got there fairly late (after work vibes) & were the only people there, which kind of made it more special. This was my first time visiting the Fishers location, but I've been to the Carmel and Downtown locations before. This spot is so cute! The storefront is adorable and the vibe is very clean. The only downside is parking is a little confusing. We parked in the garage around the corner, but then had to cut through some construction to get to the storefront. I wonder if there was a better way... This was also my first time going during the fall when they have their fall scents out. The employees were super helpful with picking out which scents would go well together. I went for autumn lodge, pumpkin pie, and sandalwood for my candle. Definitely a fresh & cozy scent! Overall a positive experience! My friends and I went to Taylor Swift Night 1, so naturally we needed the exclusive Swiftie candle! It was a little pricey at $43/candle. But it was a collectible so we splurged. They played Taylor Swift on the speakers the whole time we were there, so it was a good time! I'll definitely be back! read more

After visiting Penn and Beech, I'm considering quitting my job and becoming a professional candlemaker! I'm not sure if I have all of the qualifications, but I do know that mixing my own candle is lots of fun! My friends and I had a girls night out at Penn and Beech in downtown Fishers. The studio is located in the heart of the city, surrounded by restaurants and shops to check out while waiting for your candle to set. One thing to note is that Penn and Beech is a small storefront with no street parking, so you have to park in the lot near the city hall and library. Also on the topic of the studio itself, there is a step up to get into it and it's very narrow inside with lots of tables and candle cases crowding the area, so it's not the most accessible for those in a wheelchair. The "lobby" area of the studio is fashioned with a couch and LED sign, making it the perfect location for a photo op! We started off by picking our scents, and there were literally hundreds to choose from. I tested everything from "pomegranate" to "old books" to "hotel lobby!" We were given clipboards to write down our favorites, and then we were presented with little bottles of scented oils to mix together. I was going for a "strawberry shortcake" theme, so I combined "oven-baked bread," "strawberry jam," and "vanilla bean" to achieve the perfect fragrance. At Penn and Beech, you pay based on your "vessel," and a current special is "buy 3, get 1 free." Being a group of 4, we had to take advantage of this deal! The employees are so kind and helpful, they even assisted us in creating the perfect scent combinations by assessing the "vibe" we were looking for. I regret not staying longer for some drinks! Penn and Beech is the perfect place to create memories with friends, and come home with a homemade souvenir to remember it by! read more
