He took his time showing my daughter the process, from pouring, mixing, balancing the smells and everything in between. He knew a lot about scents and what goes well together. The shop itself was really nice and tidy. Bonus points on the "secret" room that had some gaming stuff like pool table, mini arcade area and some board games. I say secret because the connecting door is hidden as one of the shelves. He let us take our time in the room that is actually an adjoining room to his shop that has its own entrance/exit door. We could have also bought food from next door and the shop offers drinks. They have different events every month. Really neat shop, close to lots of other neat businesses like coffee and ice cream shops.

I had a question, but I overheard the woman placing a phone order for her lunch with very specific requirements. Blah, blah blah. From one call to the other, she didn't even take a break to see if the customers needed assistance. She never acknowledged or greeted me. I was interested in making a purchase but walked out instead. The service is wonderful and the sales associates are warm and friendly. The store is larger than some other Yankee Candle stores and has many great products. I am allergic to a lot of floral scents, they have so many scents to choose from, there is something for anyone who wants their home or car to smell warm and welcoming. Their candles are far superior to most candles on the market. The tarts are great as are the tea lights and they are usually on sale. I love the wooden wick candles that crackle when you burn them. They also have wall plugins and car scents. They even have room sprays and gel beads for small rooms. The vases and jars holding the candles are all wonderful and they have accessories to hold the candles which are great for home decorating, especially around the holidays. The scenterpiece items are fantastic! I am newly addicted and in love! I love the fall scents that fill up my home. The scenterpieces come in many unique designs that fit any home design. Well, I walked into Bok's, no greeting. Ok, I am going to get what I need and keep it pushing. I find my products in a minute's time and proceed to the counter. The cashier is standing with her back to me and still never acknowledges me. She is looking at the water bill, then mumbles, "hold on." It seems like she was on the phone from the way she was holding her head, so I don't know if it was directed to me. What I do know is that you had a customer in your store that you ignored twice. After about 20 or so seconds (yes, seconds, that's a bit of time to just stand there without any contact), standing at the counter to be acknowledged and serviced, I placed the products on the counter and left. In THIS economy, when I chose to spend my hard earned money with your establishment, poor customer service will never be tolerated by me. I want to feel like I am welcomed and appreciated for choosing your store to patronize and spend my money. I have always felt guilty going to these Asian owned hair stores knowing their history of treating their black clients like trash, but build and feed their families off of our communities without giving back to the very community that supports them. This was the catalyst I needed to stop patronizing these business. You will never see a dime of my money again, and I hope others wake up. Y'all need additional customer relations training, you know, the Chick fil A model.
