This location is always a pleasure to visit. I went in candle day and there was a line, but the wait wasn't long. They had a great system and I only stood outside 5-10 minutes. They may not always have the current releases or a huge stock, but the staff are always friendly and the store is always clean! It's always my go to. Thanks guys for all you do! read more

I spend way too much money in this store. I love fragrances! I purchase different fragrances for my car, house and my body. They have the best selling candles and some people live for "Candle Day" which the 3 wick candles go for $10 they usually like $26. You better get there early, people be standing at the door way before they open on those days. If you sign up for rewards club you get points for every dollar you spend ( it definitely adds up) and you'll earn free gifts. Look for new fragrances that they constantly add to the line up. They also sell men fragrances also. I have purchased some in the past and they guys have loved them. They even sale merchandise for men beard care. Durning the holidays look for mega sales on merchandise. Definitely stop in and see what products you can stick your nose in! read more

I can't stand outdoor stores like this one, but I am on the hunt for more winter candy apple. The outside greeter keeps track of the people coming and out and hands the customers entering a bag to shop with as well. They switch out working outside every huge since it's so cold outside. 6 people ahead of me in line, outside. It tme about 16 minutes to get inside, as this location seems to only allow 1-customers inside at a time. Wow. This is the first location that had about 6 bottles of my favorite Shea body cream. Awesome. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. read more

I want to thank Emily at the Southfield location for assisting me with my online order. My online order was returned the day I decided to pick it up. I drove to the store and was told I would have to contact customer service to place my order if I wanted to receive the sale price. I explained someone at the location who I had spoke to earlier agreed to take my order over the phone and want to confirm my cvv code. I didn't have my card at the time and could not confirm my code I was told when I got to the store they could not take orders over the phone and would not ask for a CVV code. I wasn't wasting my time coming to the store just to leave confused about who I had spoke to! Emily made a phone call to see how I could be assisted and handle my situation with "the customer in mind". I appreciate Emily for listening and having empathy for my situation and doing what was best for the customer!! It takes less effort to do what's right... thanks again!! read more

My last visit to Bath and Body Works involved my interest in a coupon for a free hand sanitizer. I also noticed they have a few exciting island scents in stock now, and the winter blahs effect has me interested in smelling like I just drifted off a caribbean beach. Or something like that. I went in and the sales assistant was totally on her customer service game. She kept two previous customers in the back of the store engaged in trying new lotion scents while gazing at the newly arriving customer (me). She introduced me to the latest scent, Carried Away. Not my type of scent but Bath and Body Works gets my accolade because the sales lady gave me a thorough two hand massage in the new lotion! If any of you are fans of Enchanted Orchid, please sadly add it to your discontinued list. I can't believe I waited too long to restock! Anyhow, after sniffing and sampling lotions, candles and home scents to my utter fill, I turned in my coupon for the free hand sanitizer and received attention! Stress Relief, Sleep and my new obsession Comfort! are my must haves and when I got that "Aromatherapy Products Half Off" email, I couldn't stop myself even if I wanted to. Also, if you aren't getting their emails, you need to because they are your guide to what's on sale, if there's a coupon/discount and the code that you will need to know when shopping in store or online. This particular store is a treat to come to because of how sweet and attentive every always is. They have a ton of different smell good and now even skin care items too! Scents usually depend on the time of the year, so during the Spring and Summer months there are lots of floral, tropical and fruity scents, and during the Fall and Winter they have warmer/cozier scents like apple cider, pumpkin, and fallen leaves. For the body they have products like body washes, bubble baths, lotions, body butters, body sprays, hand soaps, body scrubs, bath fizzies (bath bombs), face masks, sheet masks. AND! They have house smell goods like three different sized candles (OMG these candles!), wax melts, wall plug-ins, room sprays and scents for the car too! And don't even get me started on the hand sanies! I adore hand sanitizer, especially when it smells like my favorite Bath and Bodyworks scents! They have a men's line that's pretty legit with some body washes and creams that smell really good but could use some serious skin/beard care work. I will never go to the Southfield Plaza store again. We to 2 associates that were talking to each other to locate a product I wanted to replace. Informed it was only available in the small sizes when questioned if they would be getting the larger size in, I was answered in a conceding tone no and was not given the fact they had the same product in the Aromatherapy section with additional fragrances. Selected 4 items and went to the counter (Buy 3 get 1 Free). Had to repeat my number 3 times after being rudely total was not in their system, when I was. They were more interested in socializing and discussing what they were about to eat to listen and put the number in correctly. This was the rudest experience I have had at any of the stores. Will not return to this one again even with it being in the neighborhood. read more

I was on my way to another store when I remembered that Bath and Body Works was having a sale. 6 for $20 on their anti-bacterial foaming soap was enough for me to stop by. It was just before 10 am and I had to wait for the store to open. While waiting I noticed that the shopping center(Southfield Plaza) I was at had a Big Lots (so you know where I was going next), Marshall's, Burlington, and other stores. When I got in the store I was immediately greeted by an associate who was also helping another customer. I grabbed the mesh bag and started shopping. The associate was really good at sharing attention between both of us without losing a beat. She wanted to know if I had tried the new scent, Malibu Heat, and when I said I hadn't, she grabbed a tester bottle and squirted some lotion on my hand. The scent was a "no" for me, but the way she did it was so smooth but not fake, that I had to check out the other new scents in the store. The store is really tiny so were were able to keep up a conversation while shopping. She let me know that there was a candle sale on as well. When her co-worker came out, she was just as enthusiastic. As I went to checkout, I asked her if there was any clearance I should check out. She grabbed a list and found out that some of the metal sleeves that goes over the soap dispensers were on sale. Cha-ching! For $3.75, I added that to the order. I mentioned that I was on my way to another store and stopped by because of convenience. Normally, I would have shopped at my home store in Canton. They looked so crestfallen that I would have considered shopping anywhere else but with them made me chuckle! Seriously, it was like being waited on by a pack of puppies-they were so warm and welcoming and so eager to show me everything neat in the store. Five stars for cuteness! read more

Incredibly friendly staff and great selection. One thing stood out today. Older woman using a walker came into the store and the staff took her around by hand to help her pick out Christmas presents. I thought that was amazing. You don't see that much if at all. Bravo, ladies and gents. read more

Went for their annual candle sale and while I had to wait a long time (over 2 and a half hours and most definitely not the stores fault, it's an incredible sale), I appreciated that they stuck to social distancing guidelines spacing the line outside and allowed the guests inside the store space to maneuver and take their time shopping. The staff that was outside was as pleasant as could be, keeping the crowd engaged and happy. They answered all kinds of questions and were incredibly accommodating. Genuinely cheerful and made that portion of my experience wonderful. The staff inside was just as wonderful and helpful. I would sort of expect a jaded staff considering how exhausting this time of year must be at this store but every single one was happy, smiling, and joking around with the customers. I was also shocked that even on the 2nd day of the sale they had a great amount of stock - two trucks came during my wait outside to keep stock inside the store. Very disappointed in this store in Southfield. Went out of my way to go there today and at 11:30 am it was not open despite a sign saying they opened at 10:00 a.m. Called Bath and Body Works customer service and that was a joke and they put me on hold for 7 minutes and never answered. I called back and talked to the regular Customer Service and they couldn't help, but when they tried to transfer me to the "store" department, they were put on hold for 3 minutes and no one answered their call either. Very unprofessional and not available to talk to their customers. read more
