Upon arriving in the women's department, we asked Ann where we should go for alterations. Ann couldn't be bothered to show us where to go, she instead pointed to a nearby fitting room. We then asked Deborah, and she took the dress, found a fitting room for my friend and promptly called the alterations department. Thank you Deborah. After the alterations were complete, it was suggested to my friend that she open a Nordstrom credit card in order to get back the alteration fee in Nordstrom notes. Deborah so kindly started the process. 45 minutes later, after being transferred around to four or five different departments on the phone, Deborah called for a manager. Kurtis, the manager, was finally able to finish the process. Had the alteration fee not been so steep ,we would have walked away. Truly, ridiculous. Kurtis did provide us a free lunch in the Bistro, for all the time wasted. While waiting for the approval process, I wandered into the lingerie department to look for a specific brand of underwear. There was no one working in the department. I had to find someone from another area and of course the sales person immediately said that wasn't their department. What has happened to Nordstrom and their sales team? Nordstrom was always the gold standard for customer service. Perhaps they should take a lesson from Von Maur- There are always plenty of people working and you are always asked if you need help. I am not sure why I would go back to Nordstrom.

Pre-loved items are in very good condition, sometimes a tag is still attached to it from the original store. Clothes Mentor smells so good that it sets your mood to shopping therapy mode ;-) They accepts cash or credit card payment. I could have given a 5 star rating however some of the staff were very insensitive to walk-in customers, most especially to those who don't speak or understand English at all. I saw the expression on their faces the dismay when an elderly customers ask and they seem to be not so helpful. You could hear the same answer like "whatever is out there is what we have". Also, some of them choose to greet whoever they want to greet that day. Very much commend one the clothes specialist working there named Linda, she was very polite, engaged in a conversation, and smiling the whole time. Lots of parking. Store hours Monday to Saturday starts at 10 am to 8 pm. Sundays open at 12 noon and closes early at 6pm. Still itching to spend your hard earned money? Walmart, Sketchers, Hobby Lobby and some other stores are open and just a few meters apart from each other.

I did a count the other day and, uhmmm. I think I have a dozen of their bibs. Yes, I'm aware it's a problem. But I have so many different needs! One waterproof-ish one that I got for my trip to Zion and worked perfectly for my river hike through the Narrows, several pairs of heirloom gardening style in long pants and shorts, some solid colors as well as a few of the more whimsical patterns, etc. One denim, a few more "fashionable" varieties, etc. Dirt, clay, all of it just dust right off. They're so good, you guys! The heirloom bibs in particular are worth every penny but they have so many amazing sales and markdowns you'd be silly to pay full price. One day I was in my pottery class. Our classroom has a huge window that faces the street and people like to stop by and watch the potters in action. I was wearing a pair of my heirlooms (as per usual) and a guy came in off the street, peeked his head in the door, pointed at me, and said, "I know you are so comfortable right now!" And without a beat I said, "Duluth?" and he said "Heirloom" and the we laughed together then spent a solid 5 minutes talking about how great they are and convincing everyone in my class that they need a pair. Talk about an IYKYK moment! (Duluth, seriously, call me. I'd make a great spokesperson). My family has teased me over the last few years as I've acquired more and more but I'll tell you what, when I was walking around a rainy Greenfield Village H'alloween event I stayed nice and warm in my waterproof overalls, with the front pocket that perfectly housed my apple cider which I could easily sip through a straw, keeping my hands free for other uses. Anyway, my aunt watches me managing this outing with ease and says, "you know, maybe I should get a pair..." (she mocked me for my fanny pack 6 years ago too and look at where we are now!) Winning hearts and minds, y'all! Anyway, yesterday I went in and added 2 more shorteralls to my collection. One covered in small mushrooms and the other, a bright green succulent pattern. I haven't been too big on body positivity lately but Patti told me I was beautiful and to be more positive when it comes to be body. I had a great experience thanks to Patti. Recently I went down there to return an item -- big mistake. I should have paid the $8 to mail it back. Instead I waited for half an hour in line. There were two women at the customer service desk: a black woman and her manager, a blue-haired Mama June type, fresh out of the trailer park. Blue-hair was talking to a blonde woman she was apparently developing a serious crush on. They talked and talked and talked, recapping and repeating themselves, even though their transaction was over and customers were waiting to be serviced. Finally blondie walked away and I was next -- WRONG! Blue-hair decided now was the perfect time to take a break, so she waddled slowly away leaving only the black woman working the desk. After a long wait, the black woman finally finished with her soul sister and was very surly with me. She ordered me to "remove the items from the bag." Apparently her arms and hands were broken, she couldn't take the two SMALL items out of the OPEN shipping bag...so I took them out for her. She then proceeded to ask why I was returning the items. Irritated by my needlessly long wait and her foul attitude, I was not in the mood to repeat answers I already gave when I processed the return online. So I replied "I already answered those questions when I did the return online." No pleasantries, no apologies for the long wait and definitely no customer service skills from either of these two. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. Do your business online through the JCP website and have your items shipped back and forth. It's worth the extra cost!!!

The staff let me browse the hair sections, including the flat irons that can be used to create wave or straighten the hair. The Baby Bliss titanium iron is $90, it's supposed to be the most popular, Hot Shots is also quite favored. I had no idea sections of real hair clips could be $300 and that's only for a section too. That's how much sections of my express or dark brown could go for in a weft of hair extensions. Wow.
