Our renovations took much longer than expected and unfortunately the lighting we purchased in advance would not fit with our finished dining room layout once we finally moved in. The shop in Ancaster could not exchange the product as the 30 day period for exchanges had since passed but they indicated Bath Depot customer service might authorize it. I explained to customer service that we would like to do an exchange (beyond their 30 day policy) because of circumstances beyond our control with our renovations. They would not and when I explained their decision to hold firm on policy would impact our decision to buy anything from Bath Depot in future, the representative would not relent. Ordered a shower wall panel kit which was missing the trim edging which was identified in the instruction booklet that was enclosed in the box. Brought this to the attention of the store where purchased and after several calls the ETA kept getting deferred (3+ months). Contacted main service desk of my issue and it has now been (4) days and have yet to receive a call back. Big mistake! I ordered a toilet and missing one piece in the package. Can't refund due to open box and installation. Called customer service, got transfered to the store where I picked up my order without even finishing our conversation. And the staff from store told me no stock and not included in the sale price at all. Some items are not included based on the instruction and I get it. But how should a consumer know which was obviously needed and supposed to be included like other parts listed on the instruction ended up missing? Huge dissappointment! Ordered a complete shower kit from them. Took 3-4 weeks to arrive, no way to track it. Further more it came missing parts. Shower drain was nowhere to be found, customer service does nothing to try to assist. Very poor service altogether. Bought a toilet which was defective. The toilet seat was the wrong size and the toilet had a leak on a couple of epoxy plugs located on the back. They said that the installation was wrong because I had to use their install kit, which I was going to buy but they had none in stock. At the time of purchase I was never told that the installation required their kit. They did not give me my money back. At some point the lady there said sorry because they were a new store and the staff was inexperienced. But still won't take their product back. As per my installer, this particular toilet was really hard to install. The person I hired installed a total of 3 toilets, two from Costco no problems and 1 from this store which did not work. Had the installer return to check the leak and he said that the wax seal was properly placed and the water was coming out from these two plugs in the back. read more

I also wish I can give a 0. I ordered over $2200 for a new bathroom online and waited a few weeks due to back order. Fair enough, it happens. Was called by the store and told that home delivery isn't an option and I needed to pick up at a distribution centre. They refunded the delivery cost and I was told to wait for a call from their distribution center, Clarke Transport. After several weeks and no calls I email customer service who said it was shipped Feb 17. I waited another week and no call and after several more emails they tell me it was picked up March 10, but not by me. Apparently someone can pick up anothers order without a signature or ID and the customer pays for it. Do NOT do business with either Bath Depot (Bain Dépôt) or Clarke Transport. I recently ordered a tub/shower faucet set for a bathroom renovation that we were just about to start, so timing was a big deal to me. I choose to order from Bath Depot because the item that I wanted was in stock, and on their website it states that orders ship within 3 business days and take 3-10 days in transit with regular (included) shipping. This sounded more than reasonable, so I placed the order and waited for the shipping confirmation to come through. When I hadn't received any shipping details after 3 days I reach out via email to see if I could change my shipping method to expedited which, for about $57 was an option I could have paid for when I placed my order on the website. When their customer service responded they told me that there was no expedited option, only regular parcel mail, and that regardless, my order would not ship until at least the middle of the next week because "they have deadlines with Canada Post". Once I realized that the order was going to take a while I called the customer service and spoke with a really friendly lady and asked to cancel my order. She let me know that it wouldn't be a problem to cancel because the item hadn't even been invoiced yet. I confirmed with her that she would be able to cancel the order and she assured me that there wouldn't be any issue. However, shortly after we spoke she emailed me to tell me that she actually can not cancel my order because it has already shipped. Then 2 hours later I get an email from Canada post stating that a shipping label has been created for my Bath Depot order. Pretty interesting how just the day before they said they couldn't ship it until the following week and now all of a sudden it "shipped". Well, in fact it hadn't shipped, they only created a shipping label and Canada Post didn't pick up the package until a week later when I finally got the notice that it was in transit. I argued back and forth with the customer service in the mean time to try to tell them the package wasn't in transit yet, but they just dug their heals in and kept saying that it had shipped and there was nothing they could do about it. This company is a joke. They have no problem lying to their customer and I will be sending back the faucet set once it arrives because I have already ordered another one. Unfortunately the shipping cost will be at my expense which I'm sure will not be cheap. I am sure they are counting on that people won't send parcels back because of this. To be quite honest I don't want anything to do with this company based on the appalling customer service. All I can say is that I wish I had read these reviews before I placed my order and hopefully this helps someone out there not make the same mistake I did. read more

June 24 we ordered a bathroom sink fawcett cartridge from Bath Depot in London Ontario. We had to pay a 10% deposit to place our order after Bath Depot checked their online inventory and confirmed they had one in stock that needed to be shipped from their warehouse. Today I receive a call from the Fanshawe Road store that the part in not in stock and when I asked for my refund was told I would need to drive to London to get the $2.82 refund. The store is a 2+ hour round trip, so I told her that was not happening for the size of the refund involved. I spoke to the store manager (at least that is how she identified herself) and was told the store is not authorized to give refunds. Thus, they would rather just keep customers deposits. She gave me their head office number which is in Quebec and no-one answers the phone - on wait twice for over 15 minutes well in advance of their closing time of 4 p.m. Bath Depot has lost all future business from us, and will never be trusted again. Do not give Bath Depot a deposit on anything! read more

I ordered over $2000 in kitchen and bathroom supplies. It took them months to deliver it all but I understood that with COVID the supply chain is affected and I was expecting delays. However, once it came time to deliver they delivered everything but one cabinet. I found it weird as I was told everything would ship together. I called to ask where the last cabinet was and they told me it would be another few months until it was back in stock and they would ship then. I was pretty annoyed as I now had to cancel with my contractor and wait months with a bunch of huge boxes taking over my apartment and couldn't begin work as the one cabinet was integral to my reno. I emailed asking whether I could be sent a different cabinet in a quicker time frame and they never responded. Then after months I got a called from a Bath Depot store in Gatineau saying my cabinet was ready for pickup. This cabinet was supposed to be delivered to my apartment in Ottawa. I hadnt authorized a store drop off and wasn't told that it wouldn't be delivered. This was a huge problem because I don't have a car and due to COVID the Ontario-Quebec border was closed! They told me I had to find a way to pick it up or it would be shipped back to the warehouse and I'd likely have to wait months again to get it. I eventually rented a car and essentially had to smuggle myself in and out of Quebec to pick up the cabinet. The cabinet quality is good but the delivery and customer service was horrible. read more

Worst experience ever. I ordered a vanity and with taps and they said that they would call me when it came in. They never called, so I emailed them to ask them where it was. The assistant manger said that she called me (which she never did) and told me that I had to make an appointment. I emailed and tried to get an appointment before my contractor came and no luck. I had to just show up at the store and when I did she told me that I would have to wait for a half an hour because I didn't have an appointment. I finally got the vanity home and the taps were missing. i Was told to call the office for a refund. I called every day for a week and no one returned my call, so I had to go back to the store again. I am writing this review after having received and email from the assistant manger that said : "You are very rude from the get go. Call the store to have it refunded Kathleen we are humans and not robots". To top it all off, the drawers and doors on the vanity don't line up. save your grief and go somewhere where the customer is not talked to like this. read more

I wish I could give 0. I was supposed to receive my new bath tub over a month ago. When I called to check status, not only was the customer support awful, but they said I'd have to wait another month and "it probably won't even be here in a month neither". As this has put a major stall in my renovations and I have over $800 floating around and no one can confirm a date I'm not impressed. I asked if there's anything they can do (even like 10% off next purchase) to keep my business. Support said "no this is happening to all our clients so we can't give you special treatment". I then asked for a refund and confirmation email of said refund. I was never sent anything nor did a receive a refund. I called back and was cut off several times in mid sentence. By the end of the call I got a confirmation email that I will get refunded. I recommend they work on the customer support and figure out where their trucks are. Called this morning to cancel and was told I couldn't as it had already left the warehouse. She apparently had the info available immediately right there that my package had left the warehouse hit claimed she hadn't seen my email. To start, we were not looking for cheap, I wanted a quality product at a good price and bath depot looked to fill that bill. Apparently not! You get what you pay for. Delivery was a pain in the butt. the vanity we ordered looks good, and it may be, but the hole for the vanity faucet which we also bought from bath depot, is too close to the back, now when you open the faucet, it touches the back wall so doesn't open all the way. We purchased a shower bridge, looks like a great idea, but does not adjust for length, neither the 48" or the 60" so built shower had better be exact to make it fit, not to mention that installing the shower bridge make you need lower shower wall, and try to support a shower glass wall with that mounted on top will be next to impossible. Looks like a great idea but a fail in my books. So we purchased a shower panel, well the shower head does not firm up and wobbles, oh and bath depot won't exchange once installed and water runs through, 50% offered back, frankly now my contractor says panels are not a good idea, but if you must, go to Lowe's. The tub faucet, we had to finally settle on a faucet that is mounted on the tub, spent about $400 I think, again we didn't try to go cheap, it looks ok, but the wand part continues to run after being shut off so when you put it back in the hole where it goes when you shut t off, it continues to leak into the hole and therefore onto the floor under the tub, good luck cleaning that up. Bath Depot says I need to change the cartridge now. Annoying. The vanity faucet, about $200 continues to run after shut off for about 1/2 a second or more. it all works but this is not right and similar to what i said before with mounted on a bath depot vanity it hits the wall. Again, pretty sure bath depot says change the cartridge. Guess what, I paid a crap load of money for a plumber to install a shower panel, tub, tub faucet, vanity and vanity faucet, now to fix everything, who pays for that? Buyer beware, I will update this if Bath depot decides to make all this right, but this is ridiculous, my bill with bath depot is well over $2000 and I need to replace parts and pieces already, and pay someone to do it.
