I purchased a walk-in shower installation from Bath Fitters 10 years ago. I had some minor leakage around the shower doors but Bath Fitters came out each time and fix the problem. Today they came out and replaced the whole shower installation at no charged. They live up to their warranty. I want to thank Shawn and Casey for a good job done. read more

I was wanting to do a bathtub to shower conversion, so I reached out to this company to obtain a quote. They came to my house, measured and took pictures and then gave a what I had thought was a very reasonable quote. I WAS TOLD BY THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE THAT THIS QUOTE WOULD BE GOOD FOR ONE YEAR. Because I am a veteran, I wanted to ask the VA to cover the cost and applied for approval. When I submitted the quote to VA with my application, I was contacted and told that the quote makes no mention of labor costs. So, I reached out to the company via email and phone in an attempt to get that information in order to move forward with my project. I never got an email response but in talking with company representatives on the phone I was told that the needed information would be sent to me via email. A month later I still had NOT gotten this information. Phone call attempts to the company, meanwhile, left me being told that someone would return my call with the information. Since I had gotten this quote from this company in November 2023 I decided to drive to the physical address of the company and attempt to get this information. When I arrived there this morning, I was directed to speak with an individual named Juan. I told him why I was there, and he immediately told me that they would have to schedule a new visit to my home to do a new quote. I asked him why that was necessary since I was told that the quote from November 2023 was supposed to be good for a year. His response was that my paperwork had been "lost" and he could not use the copy that was provided to me by his company to move my project forward. When I got home, I looked over the quote and the accompanying proposed (unsigned) contract in hopes that it would say something like the cost of labor was already included as part of the quoted prices. I had the assistance of a friend who works as a paralegal. I was shocked to find out that the wording of the contract contains a loophole whereby the cost of the project can be increased by a large amount to cover labor costs because I provision in the contract that allows the company to execute a "change order." So, is this company scamming potential customers with the way they give out quotes and word their contracts? read more

We contracted w/ Bath Fitters, 4400 Blalock Rd Houston, Tx to remodel guest bath tub/shower combo. After completion we have only warm, hot and very hot water. NO cold. Their supposed plumber has returned 3 times and replaced the cartridge inside the faucet 5 times. 3 time on one visit. Still, no cold water. Was first told it was a warranty issue w/ Moen and then told that they would consult w/ Copr. Office to determine a fix. After 3 weeks now we have NO solution. Called local office to speak w/ supervisor or manager and was told I would get a call back from Henry. NOPE. I called the Corp. Office who has no record of the local office contacting them. Like the previous reviewer noted, we have had several mistakes with the measurements of our shower and are still waiting for the proper door to arrive. Poor response when we contact the office. Too bad for them because we have additional bathrooms that need refinished and we will not be using Bath Fitter again. Update - Bath Fitter finally sprang into action and completed the project. The also reduced our bill by deducting $950 from the balance. The shower is beautiful, but reliability is lacking. read more

We had a new shower installed and had problems after several months. BATHFITTER came out on three separate times but all they did was re-caulk the unit. The ceramic tile started to crack around the threshold of the shower so BATHFITTER sent a plumber out who said he had no clue as to what the problem was. That was when BATHFITTER stopped taking or returning calls. It's been weeks now and our frustration level with BATHFITTER is off the charts. Even after 2 calls to BATHFITTERS Corporate office yesterday I could not get anyone to call me. I'm not sure what we are going to do. My advice to anyone who is thinking about using them, think again. Read as many reviews (on a national level) as you can. BATHFITTER will take your money and dump you! read more

I had Bath Fitter come out and give me an estimate on 3/30/2016, Wayne showed up and did the measurements, was very professional and personable. I accepted the bid he offered of 1550.00 and I signed the contract that night and signed up for credit. Later in the evening they had another Gentlemen come and measure the tub again. I didn't hear anything for a week and called and spoke to Samantha who orders the tubs, she explained that because of my tub size they would need to try two different test tubs and it would take 3 weeks to order. I never heard back and called them 3 weeks later 4/22/16. I was then told my order had been canceled by the Branch Manager (Rick). I had never canceled the order so this was a mistake. Samantha was very apologetic and gave me a 250.00 credit on my order and was told it would take another week. Again no one called me so I started calling and got someone on 5/4/16. I called my salesman, Wayne who called me back and explained that the depth of my tub was an issue and that they don't have a mold that will fit and that he was told they would not make one, even thought I had already signed the contract. He did some research and said they could replace the tub and but in a mold covering the tub and the walls for 3800.00, which is not what I wanted because my walls were just professionally tiled and I love the look, I don't want to cover them, just the tub. I was left very disappointed and with no resolution for my tub. I believe that they should have made a new mold to fit my tub but was told that was not an option so they canceled my contract after all the time I wasted on this. read more

I had bath fitter install a new shower system 9 years ago. The owner/Mgr was so arrogant and horrible after installation service. Hopefully they have different people running this company. Everything looked great at first until last year when we discovered the job they did was so shabby that mold had developed behind the walls they had installed. The shower walls had no water protection barrier and the drain was not installed correctly causing water to go under floor. Wow! What looked great at first is so superficial. Unfortunately you can't detect problems until years go by. Thought this would be good for more than 8 years! Unless they're under new Mgmt I wouldn't give the the time of day. Tonyn read more
