Picked up my first order after visiting Floor & Decor Design Studio at Galleria area. I came here with my contractor to pickup the tiles and grouts. It must be early in the morning. Everyone looks sleepy. The signs at the pickup area is kind of confusing. I got there after my contractor but I wasn't sure how the process should be. I asked someone at the counter, "Hey. Where is my order?" That person didn't respond and walked away. I asked the second person who walked up. "We are getting them ready for you. Just hang on." I asked my contractor if they checked his ID for picking up 2 orders. Because the first order had my name as the pickup person. I asked the saleswoman at the design studio to put his name on both orders. I assume his name would be on the order form. Nope. Not shown anywhere, nor the employees checked his ID. So, that means anyone can pick up my order. How odd. This store at Dacoma has a huge display floor and also design consultant stations by the entrance. I think I would skip the design studio in the Galleria area and come straight here. read more

I went to buy flooring for installation. I asked the associate multiple times what I needed. I explained I have never bought flooring and had no idea. I'm now a month later from my purchase and the floors are being installed.... I do not have what I need and had to buy trim and floor transitions. These are basic items and it would have been great if the floor and decor associate asked any questions and helped me get the right material. Will I be back, maybe? But prob not. read more

First and foremost, Floor & Decor has the best playlist of any home improvement store in the Houston area. Their jams from the the 00s and 10s made tile shopping a much more enjoyable experience. In the search for samples for an upcoming removation project, I stopped by Floor & Decor yesterday and was really happy with the experience. The store was spotless and everything was laid out in a way that made sense, which I haven't seen so much at other tile stores. It would be nice if they had samples of more of their materials. To get samples of LVT hardwoods and floor tiles, I had to purchase single tiles. Other that that, really great spot. Will surely be back. read more

Such a shame! I signed up for 0% financing for 18 months yesterday but it would not allow me to order the product on-line and said I needed to come to the store to show my ID for the order to be completed. Now they are saying "Oh sorry not sorry. That promotion ended yesterday." No help whatsoever!!!!! Also had me stand around the store for over 30 minutes. Where to begin. I'm currently undergoing a kitchen renovation and decided to undertake the task to replace granite countertops with butcher block. I thought the hardest part was going to be the removal and installation. I was wrong. I went into Floor and Decor Dacoma St location and placed an order for a 12' countertop, 8' countertop, and 2x 8' backsplashes. Backsplashes were to be shipped from warehouse (they would notify me when they arrived) but the countertops were ready to pickup. I rented a uhaul and went to pickup the countertops that next saturday. Took them home, removed the packaging and discovered that the 8' countertop is badly damaged on the sides. Thought it was fairly negligible on their part to provide a damaged product when the customer has to go out of their way to pick it up, but these things happen. Called Store manager #1 and explained the situation. He went back and verified that there was another in stock. Fine. Took off work the next morning, borrowed a friends SUV and loaded up the damaged piece. The exchange went fine then brought it home, took it out of packaging and, yup, this one was also damaged. Very disappointed manager #1 didn't verify the product quality after the first incident. I call the store in the afternoon and am told he's unavailable but he would call me back later. Day goes by and no call is received. Next morning I call again and am told he's not available but would call me in the next 30 minutes-1 hour... 3 hours go by with no call. I call again, and ask to speak with a different manager. I explain the situation and my increasing frustration with Manager #2. He finds another piece 30 miles away at another store and leaves a voicemail saying I can go pick it up and they would figure out how to get the damaged piece back. I take off work, again, and borrow friend's car, again - drive down to the store and am met with a "no, you'll need to pay again for this piece or exchange the other". I explain what I was told by Manager #2 and show the voicemail. After a lot of waiting and confusion, Manager #3 gives me the new piece. On top of all this, I was told that I would be provided an email saying when the backsplash got in. No email, had to check online on their store website and input the order number to find out that it was ready for pickup. Extremely disappointed in the customer service and product quality that floor and decor provided. I would have also expected some sort of refund or discount for the hassle and inconvenience all this caused me. Would not recommend this store and it's butcher block products. read more

I have a pro-account at floor & decor. I have been very pleased with their customer service and attention to detail. Just recently, I returned to Houston from a remodeling project in DC. I purchased alot of materials and supplies at their store in capitol heights, MD. The people there were also very helpful. That being said I had a crew of guys finishing up the basement of the house in DC. Kolby, the pro-account customer service specialists really helped me out. First, we still had to pick a tile selection to use in the basement. Secondly, we had to check and see if the store in MD had enough tile in stock to complete the job. And lastly, we had to pay for the tile so the crew in DC could pick it up at the store in MD. Kolby, worked with me for about 45 minutes calling the other store to make sure that everything was in stock, paid for, and ready for my guys to pick up. You can't beat that kind of service. I've patronized several other stores... Home depot to Lowe's and everything in between. But one store that I will NEVER go back to is LL flooring. Somehow they got my number and would frequently call me about sales they had on flooring. One day they called and I had a client in the area of the store in Stafford. So I told my client lets go to the store and see if she saw any flooring that she like. She found some flooring that she liked, however they didn't have enough flooring in stock. We were informed that their store off the beltway in between I-10 and 290 had more than enough. So she paid at the store in Stafford and I went to the beltway 8 location to pick up the flooring. We had 2 boxes of flooring left over from the job and we went back to the beltway 8 location to return the flooring and the manger said that because we bought the tile in Stafford that we had to return it to that location, despite the fact that we picked it up at his location. This was during the peak of the higher gas prices. Long story short...LL flooring's customer service, quality, and return policy are garbage. Floor and decor have always treated me fairly. As a man who is spending his Hard earned money I can appreciate that. read more

We came here for clearance tile and found something. The grout is pretty expensive they are no cheaper than Home Depot furthermore it took forever to get somebody to help us after telling the clerk what we wanted. Also the delivery charges are absolute price gouging. From here to timbergrove area which is right down the street is $150 I would like to know why they need $150 to transport a small amount of tile and grout that seems very fishy to me and that they wanna get rich off of a delivery fee so it's better to haul your own stuff because they will try to overcharge you for delivery. read more

There are tons of flooring stores in the area, but Floor and Decor is exceptional. The staff is phenomenal, especially Darla. Service is critical to me, and the staff went above and beyond. I had to ask Darla about her training, cause nowadays it's hard to find good customer service. She mentioned "Mo" in our conversation, so Mo, keep on doing what you do. I was the only person in the customer pick-up... he didn't make eye contact with me whatsoever. After waiting a long time we then asked again when we would be receiving our items and they said they were working on it. Excellent customer service. Alejandro knew exactly what we needed from flooring to kitchen to bathroom flooring, back splashes and the small stuff. Alejandro was very knowledgeable and even taught us the little special TLC when using certain products. For example, he advised us for our diamond grout that we chose, to work small area at a time and make sure that you clean up quickly or else it will form a permanent haze over our glass backsplashes so not be wasteful.
