We had a 16x16 Tuff Shed installed on 7/20/24. The installation crew was very good. Completed it…read morein around 4 hours. The shed is well built. That would be 5 star product! Problem was that the factory sent the wrong size anchors even after I have them the depth of the foundation. Also, they were one shingle short for the roof ridge. I let them know within a day that they sent the wrong anchors and missing shingle. Today is August 12th and they sent one guy to install the anchors but didn't let him know about the missing shingle. It is just one shingle! Just got a call and they cannot send anyone till Aug. 23rd to put 1 shingle on. It shouldn't take nearly 1 month to install 1 shingle! I'm happy about the shed and communication with Michelle at Tuff Shed but the scheduling department needs to coordinate better with the install team and their customer.

Torrco was recommended to me for plumbing supplies by a contractor that I know. When we began…read morerenovations on my kitchen in early December, my wife and I went to Torrco to pick out and purchase all of the plumbing fixtures for our new kitchen. We were helped in the store by Evelyn Zepeda, and ended up purchasing thousands of dollars worth of products from Torrco that day, including a $1,200.00 Rohl Faucet. The items were not in stock and had to be ordered, but that was fine, as the kitchen renovation was just beginning, and it would be weeks, if not months before they were needed. Eventually the items were delivered, and they were installed in the new kitchen some time in February. The kitchen renovation was completed in mid-March, and we began to use the kitchen and faucet. Within a week or so, we began to notice that the handle was sticking and binding. Shortly after this, we discovered that there was an o-ring around the handle that was pinched and causing the handle to bind. I called Torrco to inform them that the faucet was defective, and was told that I could ONLY speak to Evelyn about the issue as she was our salesperson. Evelyn, however, was unavailable the first few times that I called. Eventually, I spoke with Evelyn, and she requested that I take pictures of the problem and send them to her. This was done on April 19, 2023, and Evelyn confirmed receipt on April 20,2023 stating that she would forward them to the manufacturer and get back to me. I received no response from Evelyn until I requested an update on May 9, 2023. Evelyn responded almost immediately and stated "Yes, they said that the escutcheon just needs to be untightened and that o-ring put back into place. It should be an easy fix, probably then they installed it was tightened to much. Let me know how it goes." I responded to Evelyn indicating to her that the faucet handle was not assembled by me or my plumber, but by the manufacturer. I also reminded her that I am not a plumber, nor do I know what an "escutcheon" is, and that I just paid $1,200 for a faucet that I expected to be of high quality, and didn't think that I'd have to repair a brand new faucet myself, or hire a plumber to repair a brand new faucet. This email went unanswered. I reached out to Evelyn again on May 16, 2023 asking for a response. Evelyn stated "I followed up with them today, as the tech support got back to me with the answer I provided to you. They said that is not something that needs to be replace it need to be untightened, I will let you know at soon they get back to me." I again mentioned to Evelyn that there was obviously a defect with the faucet, and that I should not be held responsible for repairing this. Evelyn responded on May 18, 2023 and stated "I complete understand, I reach out to them asking for a different solution. They sent it to tech support, once they get back to me I will let you know." Weeks went by, and I received no communication from Evelyn. At this point, the o-ring had now completely fallen out of the faucet, and the handle has been loose and jiggly as a result. In mid-June, my wife went to the store and spoke to Evelyn directly, asking for a solution to the issue. Evelyn did not offer any additional information, but told my wife that she would follow up with me. As of today, August 18,2023 I have received no response from Evelyn. As I have received nothing further from Evelyn, and did not want to spend even more money to hire a plumber, I decided to take Evelyn's suggestion and attempt to repair the faucet myself. While attempting to "loosen the escutcheon," I managed to peel the matte black finish off of the faucet. So now, after paying $1,200 for a faucet, being denied warranty coverage on a brand new faucet and being told to repair it myself, I am now left with a faucet that is still not repaired, but also damaged. If Torrco and Evelyn continue to refuse to stand behind their products, I am going to be forced to purchase replacement parts for a brand new faucet, and hire a plumber to install them. I am absolutely disgusted with the awful service that I have received. My wife and I feel as though, once they took our money, they no longer wanted to be bothered with us.

She was incredible to work with when looking for design and product selection and cared for us through all of the delivery, shipping, and installation processes. As with any construction project, we had some surprises to overcome and she was always available and ready to help. In several cases, she was more knowledgeable than our plumber and helped us to troubleshoot and correct issues. The new construction project for our family was a tremendous undertaking but the support from Torrco (and especially Evelyn) was an absolute bright spot for our project. Thank you!

"We Improve For You" installed a walk-in shower in May. The employees that I worked with, the…read moresalesperson, Melissa, Julie, Oscar, Alan and Alex were all very nice and professional. My issues with this install: Instructions: Your instructions stated "If you are getting a shower rod with your order, please have the shower curtain at site so we could hang it at the right height". Alan asked what length the shower curtain was, and I told him it was 72 inches. Without asking me Alan installed the shower rod at 75 inches. That's fine if you have a bathtub that will keep the shower curtain inside. However, a walk-in shower has only a four-inch lip. When I hung up the shower curtain the following day, the 72-inch curtain sat right on top of the four-inch lip. The manager Alex came out, he said that the "code" for hanging shower curtain rods, was 75 inches. I said to him "That's fine if you have a bathtub that will keep the shower curtain inside." Using ChatGPT, I googled "code for hanging shower curtain rods". I consider this point a lie. Melissa ordered a 75" shower curtain. Now the curtain is too long and sits bunched on the shower floor, because they did not take into consideration that the shower hooks bring the curtain down lower. I'm not happy with how the curtain sits slightly bunched up. Ceiling: I asked Alex why Oscar spackled the ceiling, which in turn left the popcorn ceiling looking like crap. Alex indicated that the gap was too large for silicone only. Which indicates to me that the walls were not cut to the correct size. Showerhead - Alan or Oscar forgot to caulk the plate that goes behind the showerhead. Permits: I lost count of how many times I asked Melissa for a copy of the permits (plumbing and building) and the approval of same. The answer was always the same. The city had not reviewed the request yet. When Oscar left on the first day, I said that I was not going to pay for the permits, until I received the appropriate documentation. He called the office and he came back and indicated that "We Improve for You" pays. I was skeptical, why would you pay for your customers' permits? But I paid the full balance owed $9,624.55. Your estimates should be itemized and honest. I consider this a lie. I went to City Hall to inquire about the status of the permits and learned that your company needed to send your Workers Compensation coverage and HIC contract number. I called Melissa and she said that she had responded to their request, but the email bounced back. I gave her a different email and phone number to try. I called City Hall again to find out if they received all the required documents and he indicated that he had and that they sent the invoice - indicating that the project was approved. To DATE: I have not received any email from Melissa indicating that the project was approved. (She knows that I needed that for the HOA and for my own file.) I do not know when the invoice was sent or when they would have received it. Other thoughts: Because the job became a more urgent problem, when I scheduled the install despite not receiving the approvals from the city, I called and spoke to either Melissa or Julie and said that they could start the install but then we would have to wait for the inspectors to inspect. At that time, one of them said that the city does not come out any longer and they just send photos. Another blatant lie: According the building department, they do not accept photos of the work.They absolutely do come out to inspect all work. I asked for the photos (of my job) that both Alan and Oscar said they took and Oscar said he would send them to me. I never received them. Although I would not even know if they were my job. Alan was in the bathroom for 12 hours straight, with the door closed. He rarely came out. When he started the work, I had told him that I would be checking in and that I wanted to take photos of the progress, mainly the plumbing and behind the walls. I was unable to even get into the bathroom. 12 hours straight? He left without a word to me. I did not see what he had done until that evening. I did not see him leave and I found that very unprofessional and inappropriate not to give me an opportunity to see the work. Had he hung the shower curtain as your instructions indicate, we would have known right away the problem with hanging the rod at 75 inches. Oscar returned the following day, to rehang the shower rod, he forgot the caps, and he caulked floor and the ceiling, and spackled the ceiling. He also mentioned there was black left on the floor from the original cast iron tub. I did not go look at it, but when I saw it, I thought ... "why would that even be a question" if I wanted molding ? The caulk job was poor. Oscar never came back to install the molding. I was was without a shower for one and half weeks! I still haven't received in writing the city's approval of the work.

Disappointed on several fronts…read more We purchased an overpriced ($1880) Bertch bathroom vanity cabinet. The unit arrived with several significant manufacturing defects. I was told that a replacement unit would take at least six weeks to arrive. Not choosing to wait I repaired the defects and had to negotiate a partial refund directly with the manufacturer. Lesson learned: Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's well made. On two occasions I picked up multiple products at the loading dock. After an exhaustive one-by-one check I found that several items on the delivery ticket were not in fact provided. Lesson learned: Check everything carefully or you will make multiple trips back to the store. Most disappointing, we purchased an undermount sink for the vanity top. After a lengthy discussion with the sales rep. regarding the exact size we wanted, the sink was delivered to us and we sent it to the granite fabricator. When the countertop was delivered and the sink installed, we learned that the sink was smaller than the unit we discussed and selected. We had to purchase a new sink and fabricate a second countertop for $870. Plimpton accepted zero responsibility for the error and would not even refund the $151 for the incorrect unused sink because we did not have the original packaging. (This is after spending more than $12,000 on bathroom fixtures.) Lesson learned: Do not trust that what you communicated and selected will be accurately ordered and delivered. Check everything carefully. We will not use Plimpton for our remaining fixtures, and for the reasons above we do not recommend them to prospective customers.

Eight years ago, Cross River remodeled our kitchen, dining room and foyer. On that occasion we were also 100% happy with the results. Working with John, Jason and Laz (and in the office, Yvonne) was a pleasure. They made the experience informative, simple and collaborative. The workmanship of Jason and Laz was amazing.
