Sales consultant gave me a reasonable estimate & explained all the details, including financing. Installer came on time and job was completed in a day and a half, as promised. He was neat and cleared away all the debris. New shower is easy to clean and non slip floor. We selected Bath Fitters to remove a bathtub and install a walk in shower system for my mom. The one day installation was appealing and the addition of grab bars has been perfect for her. Well, it has only been about 6 years at a cost of about $6000.00 and the entire system has to be replaced. We recently noticed a crack in the floor pan along the whole side panel. We called Bath Fitters and they arranged to send a technician to evaluate. We were told the cost of materials are covered by the warranty but we would have to pay for labor. They then notified us that the labor charge would be $3000.00!!! We contacted the owner who was very dismissive and said the crack had to have been there for a long time. What does this say about quality and workmanship? There should be no crack after this short amount of time!! We called the Company the day we noticed it. He reiterated that the side panels and floor are connected in a way that the whole system needs to be replaced and he needs to pay Worker's Comp etc for the installers. We inquired about a new warranty and he said it would be the same and we would have to replace it again at our cost. We have since contacted another contractor. It appears that Bath Fitters does not reinforce the floor or use an underlay thus the one day install since there's no drying time. This totally appears to a faulty installation. The new contractor has quoted a lower cost for more attention to detail. It will take more than a day but it will be done correctly. BEWARE OF ONE DAY BATH COMPANIES. The entire experience of a tub to shower conversion was positive from the sales aspect to the installation. I chose BathFitter because I needed the project completed as quickly as possible as I only have one bathroom. I also wanted a quality product that required little upkeep (no grouting). They said the project would take 3 days; it was complete in 2 days and I was able to use it 24 hours later. The salesman ran several designs before me and provided an estimate on the spot. They started on the date promised. The plumber was a true tradesman; he expertly removed the tub and installed all the new plumbing in less than a full day and The BathFitter installer followed with a 1 & 1/2 day install that was meticulous. They were all polite and professional. They cleaned up and left no sign behind of this major renovation. The new walls/shower are acrylic and require very little maintenance other than to be wiped down or squeegeed; I find wiping it down with a chamois cloth is the easiest and it keeps it from developing any soap film build up and leaves it shiny. We met with Dylan to discuss converting a tub to walk in shower for my in laws; he's 90 and she in her 80s with significant back issues. Anyway, Dylan showed up on time, and presented himself extremely well. He was polite, thorough, attentive and extremely patient with my father in law's sometimes repetitive questions and concerns. Dylan was keen on making us understand the materials, process and set realistic expectations without applying any undue pressure. We canceled our appointment with a competitor and signed. Wow, so i must say how nervous I was for starters to call anyone for a in house bathroom remodeling quote. Quickly my mind was put at ease with Bath Fitter. After my father suffered a stroke, we wanted to convert his already prefab bathtub to a shower unit in his mobile home. We scheduled an appointment two weeks before his discharge only to get a call the day before our appointment to the salesman trying very hard to discourage us. I very much got the feeling they did not want the job. After being told that the job wouldn't start until January, I was told they would call me back after speaking with the office. This particular location is quick to rush through the sale. Once the sale is made they are near non existent. The particular salesman we dealt with is the son of the owner. He never returned phone calls or answered my questions. He refused to put anything in writing, making promises verbally and then not following through. I was finally able to get him on the phone just two days prior to my install date (After 2 months of phone tag and him ignoring me). At that point I was done with the poor customer service and requested a cancellation. He happily turned me over to the owner and it was at that time that I found out he was his son. I received no help from the owner and was simply told its my fault for wanting to cancel. They told me they owe nothing to their customers and are not responsible for good customer service or answering questions once the contract is signed. If you look at their Better Business Bureau complaints poor customer service has been noted multiple times. They are expensive and will only patch the problem. Do your research! read more

I am so pleased with my new bathtub. Nico was our installer and he did a fantastic job. Since we had a fiberglass tub, we had to remove the old tub and get a brand new tub. The process took a little over a day and a half but was well worth it. I wish I had done this sooner. I totally recommend this product and company. read more

I also had to deal with a representative that was trying to discourage me as Lisa L. 9/6/2018. We called for an appointment, and were told that they keep to the appointment. The appointment was for 3 p.m. The representative called and texted us at 7:45 a.m. on a Saturday morning, because he wanted to change the appointment to 2:30 pm. We decided that this was not acceptable. Still, he showed up at 2:15 p.m. And even though the company insists that both Mr. and Mrs. have to be present, the representative did not wait for my husband to come down the stairs. First, thing he told me was that they couldn't work until February 2019, if that was ok. ( it was October 2018) I said yes, to not let him discourage me. He took a look didn't even bother with measurements and said he would email me the quote. He got in his van and declined the quote. I called the company to complain about the representative's demeanor. Very unprofessional, disinterested and acted like I was ruining whatever plan he had for 3 pm. I guess Bath Fitter is doing so well they can piss money out the door. Good riddance. read more

We just had a new shower installed by Bath Fitters and we are 1,000 percent pleased with the outcome. When our old shower was removed, we had no idea (nor did Bath Fitters) that additional work would need to be done to the underfloor and the walls before the shower insert could be made. Niko was our installer and he clearly showed us the repairs necessary and got us an estimate for the extra work - which by the way, was more than fair! Niko was an excellent worker - calm, pleasant and worked non stop over two days - Thank you, as well, to Igor who assisted in adjusting the shower door which was a difficult fit. The end result is a beautiful new "more spacious" shower that looks like a million bucks! As a side note - be sure to ask how long it will take for your installation - the company is extremely busy - and our job order was placed in May and installed in August - We thought it would be sooner, but well worth the wait. Be sure salesperson gives you a date on the calendar when you sign the contract, so there is no disappointment or misinformation as to installation time! read more

I had someone come out and give me an estimate on a new tub. I knew the estimate was kind of high but was ok with it due to the convenience. A few days later the sales person came back to my home uninvited and I was watching my 12 month old child. Keep in mind I work two jobs have a pregnant wife and a small child to support currently. I signed the document quickly as he said it was just a minor addition to the job. The next day I looked at the change order and it basically explained that they would have to break my ceramic shelf (1 of 2) and replace it with a smaller plastic shelf with some type of sheething to hide the damage to to the underlying tile. It specifically contained written in verbiage including not responsible for "cracked or damaged existed tile" and may leave unfinished edges. Just what you want to hear adding hazards to your tub while you will be having babies and toddlers in there. I called the sales rep the next day and cancelled the job. I waited a few months and never received a credit so I called back. I eventually got the owner on the phone who said I am out of luck and they were keeping my $425 deposit. Meanwhile I did not place nor knew of any deposit. The contract does not specify the deposit amount and I paid for the entire job initially. In my opinion it is really pathetic to pay $1700 to have a cover put on your tub then when the company realizes that they cannot do the job as specified they try to get you to cancel so that they can take the deposit. No person in there right mind would allow someone to come in and damage there bathroom and charge them $1700 for it. Futhermore, I called right after getting the change order and the owner would not honor the 3 day cancellation policy because it was not 3 days from when I originally purchased the service but it was 3 days from when I received new information about what the job entailed. The contract also states that deposit only applies to custom items and I specifically asked the sales person something to the extent that how could I know that this tub would fit exactly over mine and he responded that this was a stock tub. Up to this point the owner is staying stubborn and not even recognizing that people do not want hazards installed into there home. read more

I make an order, they tell me they can install in 3-4 weeks, once my 50% deposit (I will never do that again) clears, then they tell me installation date is pushed 7 weeks, making date of order to date of install, over 2 and a half months. that's ridiculous. Then they tell me that my ability to cancel order is done, that expires 3 days after I signed. yet I have received nothing, had nothing installed, and have a bathroom, with issue that won't be fixed for another 8 weeks. Totally unacceptable. Serves me right for not reading the fine pint. Then I cal and call to see if there is a way to expedite. No one returns my calls or emails. Very disappointed in their service. read more
