Really bad service. About a tenth of the tile we ordered was broken. Everything else was late to…read morethe store by several days, and then they were offended when we asked for a discounted price because the tiles' lateness was costing us money. This is all after they were pushing us to by a lot more tile than we needed. Lady seemed to think bathrooms needed to look like a subway station. Not planning on returning and I advise you don't either.

I wish I had been warned not to use them. I was a fool twice. I gave them the benefit of the…read moredoubt the first time. The first time I had picked out from them a marble counter top, tile and mosaic border for a bathroom and coordinating carpet for the bedroom. I matched everything to the counter top. When the counter top came in, it was completely different from the sample. At this point, I already had everything else installed. When I asked the girl what was I supposed to do now? She very snottily told me to get over it and pick out something different. I ended up getting a granite top from a different company. The second time I used them, was when I redid another bathroom and the kitchen. Since you are basically forced to use their sinks (because they charge extra if they have to install a sink from a different place) we used their's for the kitchen and bathroom. We selected a biscuit sink for the bathroom and they installed white and then proceeded to tell me it was biscuit, when clearly it wasn't. I told them to bring a white one and compare it and show me but they refused and never did. We were never actually shown either sink before hand. The kitchen sink has the drains in the back instead of center. We really wanted center drains because they don't make plastic sink mats with back drain holes. The grout they sold us for the tile in the bathroom was also defective. When mixed it was several different shades. They informed me that there was a paint I could put on it, but I would have to purchase it. The seem on the granite counter top in the kitchen doesn't match, like when you put wallpaper on the wall and don't match it up. Also, they cut the water spigot hole in the wrong place. I called them immediately with all these problems and told them they needed fixed. There response was not " Let us come out and take a look and go over it with you." The response I got was "We provided a service and you need to pay the balance." After about two weeks they said they would put a lean on our house and had done nothing, except give a a free cutting board that weighs about 15 lbs. After more prodding, they finally came out and did nothing at all. The only thing we got for our troubles was a useless cutting board. I gave in and paid them and regret ever having used them. I would have given them no stars.

Joe and his team remodeled our bathroom this spring, and we couldn't be happier. The reason we…read moredecided to hire Kitchen & Bath Spec. over others we had gotten quotes from was both his reasonable price and his willingness to work with us on our vision. I'm not a professional interior designer, but other contractors wanted to tell us how to design our bathroom in a way that didn't fit with the style of our older, mid-century modern home. We wanted to modernize our bathroom without leaving that mid-century, simple aesthetic behind. Our house was built in 1958, and with old houses come some special challenges -- especially with leveling everything! Joe did a great job laying the tile on our walls and floors so you can't tell there's a nearly 6" difference in the floor from one side of the room to the other. The plumbing was a challenge as well, but in the end everything got sorted out! It was frustrating at times, but Joe and his team were friendly and did everything they could to make everything the way it should be and work with our quirky old house. The only issues we had were electrical, which is also an unusual low-voltage system. As such, some of the switches/lights were routed wrong, and my husband ended up having to switch the wires in the boxes around. It was a minor mistake, which was easily fixed. The pictures really don't do it justice. Our previous bathroom was small, cramped and frustrating for two people to use. Now, after taking out a wall and installing a walk-in shower, freestanding tub, and functional vanity (which Joe helped us convert from a flat-packed dresser), the bathroom is both functional and beautiful. Before, I wouldn't even take a bath in there and hated digging around for things under the vanity everyday. Now it's a joy to relax in there. Thank you to Joe and your team!

I tore out the existing floor to save myself a little money. Joe layed the heated floor for me with a ceramic tile floor over that. Once he started the job, he stuck with it because as I pointed out to him, that was my only bathroom, and the facilities are a necessity. He also installed an outside plug for me. The one thing I would have preferred is that I would have liked to have been home while all the work was being done, I did not like having to communicate over the phone. But work schedules did not permit. He was, however, very good about letting me know when he was coming and going so I could plan accordingly. And by the way, my bathroom floor looks very nice.
