I can't really rate yet because I haven't actually been BUT I called today about their Mother's Day event (pictured) and didn't get the best feeling. I asked the person in the phone what time the Pilates started and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about so I explained the flyer said 10:30-1 but I didn't know when in that time frame anything was occurring and she said to check the instagram page (um...that is where nothing is explained). So I asked if she could ask someone that might know, on hold for a while, and she came back and said around the beginning- so no definitive time. Red flags. Then I asked about the brunch and what type of food. She sounded confused and said there is no brunch (see attached flyer on their Instagram). I told her I saw that the flyer said brunch which I assumed was for purchase but she said there is no brunch, maybe some snacks. Then I read these reviews about the bait and switch and got more concerned. I thought this sounded fun for Mother's Day with my mom but don't want to throw $55 down the drain. If I end up going I will revise my review but based on the interaction over the phone not sure it's worth the risk. read more

Always an adventure! Talk about a place that is dynamic! They are constantly making changes and improvements. Every event has a different vibe and energy to it, and all have the underlying awesomeness of Bathe. It's refreshing to go to a place where they encourage people to be present and put their phones away while relaxing at the mineral tubs, cold plunges or saunas. I love that they have different temperature cold plunges and saunas, so depending on how I am feeling I can pick to go super hot or not as much. Be careful attending their special events. They advertise specific things to sell tickets and then they change them the day of. They are not very clear on their advertisements either. I attended their paid grand opening event which the original post said giveaways as you enter, we didn't even get towels as we exited the lumen room even though we were all sweating. No giveaways from stakts as they advertised. It says mats giveaways and they only gave out one. No where did they mention matcha was not free. The staff was rude upon entering and through the event. Other people noticed the bait & switch as well and were not happy. After discussing with other people, it appears that the bait & switch is popular with this location. They change things last minute to charge or the keep the items that they used to intrigue people. I messaged them and wrote on their instagram to get clarification and they ignored and deleted my comment. I'm also tempted to do a charge back on my card. This place is full of fraud. read more

I attended bathe for the first time last month and called ahead to book a 60 minute deep tissue massage with a full day soak pass. Upon arriving I was immediately obsessed. The vibes are great and not overly crowded, it was a weekday, which I loved. They advised me on the phone beforehand to make sure I was dry and ready for my massage appointment time. Perfect sounds great. They recommended about 15 minutes before my time to start getting ready and drying off. This was a bit tricky considering there are no clocks outside and no phones allowed. No biggie but definitely inconvenient and not allowing for full relaxation. As instructed, I headed in and got dried and ready for my massage appointment about 15 mins before. When going back inside there was a large group of people standing in the entrance. They were apparently models shooting for bathe content creation. That doesn't bother me but I walk up the stairs and go into the room they told me I would be in about 5 mins before my scheduled time. After walking into massage room and noticing nobody was there I peak over the edge where an employee told me they weren't ready for me yet. Again, no big deal just had to awkwardly walk back down the steps with like 15 people staring at me. Then they take one of the models into MY room. Ok..... whatever i guess. I was ignored the entire time this was going on just sitting on a bench waiting for the massage they were sure to tell me to be ready for. They finally say they are ready for my massage 10 minutes after time. So I pretty much wasted about 30 minutes that I could've been enjoying the facilities just sitting and waiting for them to be ready.... I make a point to check the clock when the massage started for obvious reasons at this point. The massage therapist then goes on and shorts my massage by 15 minutes. Paid for a 60 minute massage, was ready on time, waited extra time for them to get ready, and then my massage is shorted? Put a bad taste in my mouth but just tried to continue my time. When I return from my 45 minute massage, the models are outside in the soaking area getting filmed (no technology zone btw) at this point I feel really uneasy because I can't tell if I will be in these shots. Nobody working ever told me like "by the way we will be shooting some content, if you don't want to be in the shots please let us know and we can make accommodations" it was never mentioned at all. I was in one of the hot tubs by myself and 4 models come over get in and they are literally filming while I'm in there. Pretty inconsiderate and seems like a breach of privacy. Attention was strictly directed towards the models the entire day asking them if they wanted drinks, snacks, etc. I got no accommodations and literally felt so weird and invisible. I did honestly love the space and would be open to trying again but this was a pretty uncomfortable experience overall. Guests should definitely be aware that they will be filming. A relaxing, very Austin-y adventure! I had a massage which also allowed us to use the facility, which was amazing. The massage was exactly what I needed: intentional, relaxing, and definitely tension-easing. Upon request, staff showed me around to the showers, saunas, standard dip pool, mineral bath, and cold plunge. She was specific to note to shower between each and gave me a suggested plan when I asked! I've never used a cold plunge before and that was shockingly different! They also had coworking and chill space inside. They had a drink vending machine for different types of NA beverages. No snackies (that I saw), so bring a snack if desired! Free water/cups to stay hydrated. I wish I planned several hours there, as it was unique and lovely. Parking was free and easy- grabbed coffee next door first and that was a great spot too. read more

Bathe Austin is a great example of a brand that's better at storytelling than execution. There's a heavy emphasis on transformation, "psychedelic-like" experiences, and big-picture vision, but the actual guest experience doesn't reflect that level of depth or intention. It feels like a lot is being promised, but not much is being delivered in a consistent, grounded way. The space is visually appealing, but once you're in it, things feel disorganized. There's no clear flow, limited guidance, and the overall experience ends up feeling more confusing than restorative. What stood out most is how much energy seems to go into future plans and expansion, while the current experience still feels unrefined. It gives the impression that the vision is outpacing the reality. For the price point, you expect something polished, seamless, and intentional, not something that feels like it's still finding its footing. There's definitely potential here, but right now it feels like a concept that's selling an idea more than delivering a reliable experience. read more

Hipster wellness at its... well. Ok. It's not at its best but it's not terrible either. Think the concept is great but the execution could be better. It's a very small venue currently. There are three different types of saunas (each that can fit four people comfortably max), three single person cold plunges (two were operational at my visit), a regular small pool and a warm mineral water tub that maybe can fit six strangers. They are planning to open more venues - the sound bath sounded ok. There is an open area to store your items but no locks. So bring your own if you'd like to truly secure your items in their lockers. I'm no prude. But having open gender restrooms changing areas with only a curtain to separate the shower and the unisex bathroom seems like a predator's dream. It was also not the greatest/relaxing to be using their shower and hearing some man or woman rip their anus trumpet for ten minutes while I was in the shower. (But nice bidet option on the toilets!) Ottine Mineral Springs isn't that far. And World Springs is opening up next year, I hear. read more
