Warning: Dishonest business practices. When I signed up, the female owner and attendant stated unambiguously that, when I wanted to cancel, I just needed to write an email the night before the next billing cycle. I did so and specified that my budget didn't allow me to continue a membership. The male owner tried to ignore my termination and charge me for another month. (He also tried to tell me that I was wrong about my budget....) I emailed back, telling him to cancel and refund my membership, per his wife's and attendant's statements. He sent me boilerplate language I had never seen and that I was not asked to read at any point before or after signing, stating that cancellation must be made 24 hours before and and "received during business hours." The latter is patently absurd, as a customer cannot control when cancellation is "received." False, misleading and simply sleazy. Caveat emptor with this business. Follow-up: The business owner again tried to charge my card, 30 days later, with my cancellation unambiguous and in writing, and clearly received. Nowhere did I agree to an uncancelable lifetime membership - in case that is the owner's next absurd argument. These people are con artists. I absolutely would not give them your card information under any circumstances. If you've canceled, check your credit card statements. read more

I am extremely dissapointed with Pete the owner. I came in for my first session today and enjoyed it. When I got in my car, I noticed the melasma on my face was significantly darker. Not even two hours had passed since buying the package, I asked for a refund (having never used the sessions) and Pete told me that they can't do that and all sales are final. While I understand that policy, as a business owner, there are exceptions to the rule. If sauna sessions are detrimental to the skin on my face, I should not be punished and asked to keep the package. I am shocked by the lack of empathy and I will not be coming back even when my skin is better. I have asked Pete twice if we could talk on the phone, he is quick to tell me no refunds but has yet to give me the courtesy of a phone call. The options I was given is to pause my membership or gift it to a friend. These options are inconsiderate, I don't have anyone to gift this to and melasma is a chronic and persistent skin condition. read more

Great, clean facility with very kind staff. My first time going - I was given a quick (but thorough) tour, and shown to my room. There's towel service, but only members have shower access - so plan accordingly. I stan the community vibe of a traditional sauna, but for a private sweat session - only minutiae could have made it a better experience. Thanks Perspire! read more

Had a fabulous time checking out Perspire in South Austin. The facility itself is beautiful, looks very modern with several rooms on both sides of a long hall. On one side they have the member saunas equipped with a full private shower. The other side is the visiting or one time use saunas all equipped with a TV (member saunas have these too) so you can watch a show while getting your sweat on. There's ample towels for you to use while inside, options for changing the color therapy, and ease of use to operate and change the temp/time in your sauna. For people who aren't members they have nice clean bathrooms for use. The staff was all very friendly and gave us complimentary waters as we were first timers and totally forgot ours! If you bring your own they have a handy water refill station and a whole case to choose from with snacks and beverages. This is a well maintained, impeccable facility with multiple sauna rooms, with or without shower. You can choose a single session for $39 or take monthly membership. The first session can be booked for $20 if you want to try it out and see if infrared therapy is for you. Members can also bring a guest to share the sauna private room for an additional $20. My private room was clean with fresh towels to use after the session. The infrared and red light therapy is a good way to detox and relax. The cold eucalyptus towel after sweating off feels rejuvenating. Parking is easy and Pete is always available to answer any questions. read more

I loved my session with Perspire!! The staff was so friendly and patient in explaining everything to me and it was clear they wanted me to be comfortable and enjoy myself. I love that there were separate rooms for all of the saunas and that within each room, the actual sauna is sectioned off so that you can place all your belonging within eyesight without having to subject those to the heat too. The sauna itself is so high tech, you can set what color light (the benefits of each color is explained) you want as well as the red light therapy, adjust the temperature, and set a timer. They also have a tv set up with a bunch of different streaming services signed in, so you can watch basically whatever you want. Another detail I loved was that the speakers for the tv are inside the sauna, so you can hear clearly while inside without having the volume blast and overhear other people's tvs. My favorite part, however, was when I stepped out of the sauna and back into the AC. And then it got even better, wiping myself down with the cooling eucalyptus towel. I felt so refreshed! read more

I am so bummed out that this place isn't near me...this was such a wonderful experience and I'll def make the drive to come again. The service is amazing. The staff is so polite and explained everything from start to finish. I was a little nervous because this was my first experience and I enjoyed every aspect of it. Furthermore once my session was completed I felt so relaxed and the tension around my shoulders and neck was gone. I also was shocked that they had a tv in the room and had multiple selections of streaming services for me to choose from to help pass the time. I also enjoyed the multi color light and the different meanings for each color to choose from. The instructions and intro video were very informative and clear. I enjoyed the cooling towels so much after exiting the sauna as well. I can't wait to revisit. read more

Haven't been here, I was planning to but don't think I will now but I asked a question concerning first time visitors and using the showers to get the full experience so they know whether or not they want a membership or not plus the hygiene afterwards without would just be gross and instead of answering my question they just reported it to get it off their page. This place is amazing. I had been looking for a locate sauna studio. I was able to get a same day intro session and after my first visit I fell in love. The staff is super kind and helpful. I really love how you can put notes on each appointment you book for your preferred temperature, what you want to watch on the tv and even what color you'd like in your sauna room. This place is top of the line. As a CrossFitter working out anywhere from 4 to 6 days a week this has really enhanced and sped up my recovery, hands downs. I love it here! such a relaxing experience - the staff was super friendly and welcoming! we did a 45 minutes sesh, and came out so re-freshed! the location is in a strip mall so plenty of parking! there's a tv in the room if you're looking to catch up on your favorite show, watch some meditation experiences, or turn it off and enjoy the peace and quiet! definitely coming back asap for another relaxing sesh! this place was amazing. It's like walking in to your own personal hotel suite. I don't know if you've ever been to any other saunas, but this place was state of the art. Everything I've been to up until now never had this kind of therapy level definitely didn't have any entertainment and I love the way you can personalize your treatment based on what you want at any given point in time. do you want to do a guided meditation check? Do you want to add some additional lights so you can read a book check you want your water bottle and just zone out to your own music check. Everything is super clean, super modern and minimalistic in the best way. I haven't tried any other places in Austin that offer sauna membership but one of the reasons I was interested in trying out this place was because it is super affordable and it's also convenient to my location which is South Austin. I'm not a fan of going downtown or looking for parking and parking was optimal because it's inside of a plaza. I love that it's right across the street from Whole Foods market in Arbor trails which I frequent and just conveniently located to so many things that I already visit. When I was researching where to go for a sauna membership, this was the best price. Drop in prices are $39 and pretty consistent with other dropping prices but I can't imagine they are as nice. Obviously location matters and they do have another location but all in all I was super impressed. I have every intention of coming back. read more

My second Yelp Elite event at Perspire Sauna Studio was nothing short of spectacular! I had the opportunity to have a complimentary 40-minute private session with a plus-one and it was absolutely a delight. The studio was clean, well-organized, and very user friendly. We received a very informative welcome tutorial and tour inside the building upon walking in. Our experience inside the sauna was great, as we were able to watch tv that had Bluetooth audio into the sauna itself. The studio tv also came came prepped with every streaming service available (hulu, Netflix...). As for the red light therapy, it was a fantastic experience and good alternative to a traditional sauna as you could use a phone or laptop inside the sauna since the devices won't get hot (since the head comes from the light, not from a temperature increase). I went to this business from a Yelp Elite event promotion! It took a few times to figure out the best way to book and found out it's all done with their Perspire Sauna App. Once you get there you get greeted by one of their team members and they explain how everything works. I recommend bringing loose comfortable workout clothing since you will sweat for sure!! Also another set of changing clothes would be good if you're going back to work or trying to meet someone after where you don't "stink" is advisable! The Sauna setup is great and noticed everything was clean & sanitary. I appreciated the water bottle that was given out since I forgot mine in the car. Also a other plus was it was a private room all to yourself so you can relax and de-compress easily with the TV or Music audio options that are built inside the Red Light Therapy Sauna itself. Recommended temp is 140 degrees I found out, but you can either turn it down or open the door if it gets too hot ! I did 30 minutes session and it gave me time to cool down then change before the next client showed up. Being someone who is only new to the benefits of light therapy and heat, I was intrigued by that combined elements Perspire Sauna Studio has in each of their personal sauna rooms. Their red light is medical grade, which I'm personally a newer fan of. The place is super clean in a sterilized way, yet tranquil, my favorite. If you aren't aware of the benefits of light therapy, I'd look into it. I recently had a red light facial and it erased time from my face. I was shook! There are 8 individual saunas, and before my session I saw their staff sanitizing the room next to mine thoroughly, which was comforting. I'm all about community healing but swapping sweat is too community. If you become a member you have access to the 4 rooms that also have a personal shower. So bougee. You can watch any number of streaming subscriptions with the blue-toothed sound system, or take a book, or sit in your own sweat in complete silence counting the seconds. You do you, boo-boo!! Other features include your personal set of towels, so you can strip down to your skivvies should you choose, and side note, is advised. You finish the session off by opening the door and being washed by cool air paired with a nice icy, infused towel to wipe down, so tingly. Staff is friendly and there's a small selection of retail items in the front of the studio as well as a water station. If this ends up being your jam, they've got monthly memberships. Out here in the Lone Star State, we visited a couple of Perspire's in ATX and I was less than smiles as soon as I walked in the door (not going to elaborate as to what did and did not happen from there- suffice to say it sucked) The management at the Southwest was all about that warm and fuzzy thing beginning with our initial call. After arriving, the gentleman was just a good guy and we could've chatted one another up for some time, but geez, I wasn't the only one there who was looking to enjoy the benefits of IR light therapy and all that jazz.
