So I have visited here for an MRI, x-ray, and some blood work. Unlike most facilities, they have it down to a science for moving people through the testing they need done. It is not the white glove experience, but when you are going for blood draws or medical tests, you're not there for "the experience", you're there to get it over with. That is exactly what this place does, get you in and out. All the staff I interacted with were courteous and helpful. No complaints and I really like how they don't waste my time. They clearly have enough staff-which is rare in healthcare. During all of my procedures, the nurses and staff were friendly and polite. read more

My mom was a patient there and they had us wait a whole hour and a half . My mom was suffering with a severe headache the entire wait. the wait has been extremely ridiculous and unprofessional. then when we finally got in the doctors office. the nurses took 24 mins to come back and tell us that my mom had low iron. I feel like they are very unprofessional and not aware of other people needs. something has to change bc this entire "doctors visit" has taken up 3 hours of our Tuesday. my mom was late for work and so was I. unacceptable of this clinic. read more

The billing department and the way they handle their billing is absolutely atrocious. Angela from that department is a horrible person to speak with and is a miserable person in general. They will overcharge, double charge, and more! On top of it, they are absolutely vile if you check in to an appointment without paying your last bill... "WE HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU AND SENDING YOU LETTERS!!!! HAVE YOU NOT GOTTEN ANY OF THOSE? IF YOU DON'T PAY RIGHT NOW YOU HAVE TO LEAVE." I have received zero phone calls, voicemails, or letters. And if I did, I would expect this to be handled more professionally. I am shocked that more people haven't complained about this. read more

Dr. Arbour and his team are extremely professional and very accommodating. Dr. Arbour listens to you and allows you to ask questions and he responds in a way that you can understand instead of talking "at you". We were seen, we were taken are of and now instead of sitting around waiting for a phone call we are able to go about our day without the anxiety we were carrying for 3 weeks. Thank you so much, we are truly blessed. read more

Had an appointment with Dr. Caroline Sowell at 1:00 PM. I arrived 15 min early as it's normally asked. At 1:10 I was brought to the back; much to my surprise, the back area was very dark including the examination room; only a few lights by the nurse station were on. Very dark, I had never been in a doctor's office so dark. In the examination room, the technician did the eye exam and put dilating drops in my eyes. She then left. At around 1:40, I Heard Dr. Sowell introduced herself to a patient in a room adjacent to mine which made me realize that it would take several more minutes to come see me. I had to pick up my grandson from school and realizing I'd be late if I would wait to see the doctor, I left. At around 2:10 I received a call from the technician asking me where I was which led me to believe that it wasn't until then that they went into the room where I was and find out I wasn't anymore. I explained the situation to her and she said that the doctor had a patient ahead of me and I had to wait for the drops to take effect, a fact I was not told, but she did tell me that I should've been told by the front people or I should've known. Not pleased with my first and last experience with Dr. Sowell. read more

I have chronic illness and scheduled an appointment with a specialist at the Baton Rouge Clinic about 3 or 4 months ago. Eager to see the new doctor and figure out my plan of care, I went to the Baton Rouge Clinic for my appointment this afternoon. At the front desk I was told I had an unpaid bill of $65 from several years ago. I explained I didn't have $65 today but will get paid Friday. They turned me away. If I didn't have a chronic illness that put me out if work for over a year this might be understandable...but I need medical attention so I can work to pay my bills. But when doctors refuse to see you because you're too sick to work and have money... well... what can you do? I can't believe how cruel The Baton Rouge Clinic is. Rn I am sitting in my car in their parking lot trying to calm down so I can drive home... read more

My first time here. I had to see an ENT yesterday and wasn't even sitting in the waiting room long enough to snap photos lol... but I'll be back tomorrow for more testing eekk! Very clean environment, restrooms and the employees I encountered all was very sweet, patient and very helpful. I was there to see Dr. E.Hardy and he was just wonderful. Explained everything he was going to do and even though my procedure scared me, I was very comfortable with him and I didn't chicken out I give this place and staff 10 gold stars. read more

It's a hit or miss coming here always. Either very nice helpful service and doctors or the complete opposite.

Baton Rouge Clinic you need to make renovations ! If this review was based on the physicians I've seen here I'd give it 5 stars but I'm basing this simply on the upkeep of the facility itself. First off the restroom facility's are old and for the amount of people that comes thru the doors of this huge clinic the bathroom faculties are a joke. It's not cheap to see any of the many specialists whose offices are here. I have two different doctors here myself one on the 1st floor and 1 on the 3rd floor and it costs me plenty to see them and I'm just saying update the bathrooms and enlarge them and for goodness sake CLEAN THEM. It looks old and worn on the interior and is in need of refurbishing. read more

My daughter has been going to the Baton Rouge Clinic since she was 3 weeks old...she is now 4-years old. Although I do not like to visit the clinic unless it is totally necessary, I have always received great service here. The group of pediatricians we belong to is amazing! Even when my daughter's regular doctor is not there, we are always referred to her colleague that is equally as good. The level of care that we have received here has been the best I have ever seen. It is so nice to see a group of doctors in what is an HMO setting to be as helpful and attentive as the Baton Rouge Clinic. My daughter's pediatrician group has been nothing short of excellent! We have always been able to schedule appointments convenient to our schedule and are seen immediately, when we come in for our visit. Thank You! read more

My Pc is Dr. Say, I have had very good experiences at this clinic, no long waiting, to see the physician, courteous, nurses, and good expert medical treatment, prescriptions filled promptly, and just great overall treatment from this Dr. and his nurses and I've been one of their established patients for over 10yrs. Love Br. Clinic!!!! M. Antoine read more

The clinic gets a 3 star for its cleanliness and the office staffs courtesy. The parking is really bad and the fact that people were parked in NON parking spaces made it even harder. Our appointment was for 9:30 and even though we arrived much earlier the lot was almost full! The building itself is nothing fancy on the inside. It is a nice office but the waiting room was very drab. It had a bunch of toys for kids but I would have expected a much more welcoming waiting area for a pediatric neurologist. It was just the opposite. Luckily we were not in it for very long. Our appointment was with Dr. Schexneyder for a check up for my great niece. She was a friendly woman but I was not happy with the appointment over all. She had not seen my great niece in over 6 months but she seemed to already have her suggestions before she ever examined her. I had several questions for her and she seemed annoyed that I had looked up the tests already and was questioning why she wanted to go that route. It was left up to me to suggest and EEG which she proclaimed "That is a great idea - I could have one done." I do not like it when doctors jump into doing the most expensive tests when there are other avenues that can be tried and with this doctor I felt she was just about running up the bills. As I told my niece she is the parent but I would be getting a different doctor...and so we are. read more

I had colon rectol surgery by a General Surgeon who said after they removed the obstruction they would reconnect my bowel to my anus. Never done he lied to me after surgery and said he needed more time in surgery and would do it on Saturday next excuse was no surgery room available then came Monday No Surgery due to Labor Day. BS After waiting 5 days I was finally given food to eat and told I would be discharged. Surgeon never came to update me. CEO of BR Clinic has had my complaint for 3 months and still no response after Surgeon referred me to another Buddy Doctor who saw me twice and never read my reports or physically examined me. He said he spoke to surgeon and could not reconnect my colon to anus as there was not enough colon. I am now addicted to pain meds due to surgery and surgeon said go see another Doctor he does not know why I am in pain.I now see a Doctor from Oschner to reconnect my body. I have constant pain due to his surgery in placing my stoma below line so feces goes into my body and not colon bag. DO NOT use BATON ROuGE Medical Group Surgeon for colon surgery. He is a cruel man with no compassion read more

Dr. Catherine Katzenmeyer at Baton Rouge Clinic is an amazing pediatrician. We have been going to her for 9 years. She is so patient and understanding. The nurses have helped me so many times over the phone. When Dr Katzenmayer isn't in the office they always refer us to another awesome pediatrician in the group. I appreciate this kind of service and I feel great knowing my kids are being well taken care of. read more

Check-in staff and testing techs in pulmonary department need refresher training in patient care. I stood waiting for more than 15 min to be checked (the only one in line) while office staff sat on hold on a phone call. Staff needs retraining, multi-tasking patient care. I person standing there waiting to see the doctor should take priority. Also technician in pulmonary function testing need retraining on patient CARE. The testing is difficult and tried telling my tech that testing was making me feel light-headed, like I was going to pass out. Instead of showing compassion, understanding, encouragement, or giving me another minute between blowing, she began rambling of complaining about patient attitudes being the problem. It was ridiculously rude and brought me to tears! "Hello, I am a patient, and I am right here telling you that I am trying, but I feel light-headed!" Discovered later that my heart rate was sky rocketing with exertion. So this was likely making me light-headed. The doctors are great! Other staff needs patient care training! read more

Dr. Roy Kadair is a wonderful physician. He is very thorough with each examination and is kind to his patients. Thank you, Dr. Kadair.

Over the past few years The Baton Rouge Clinic has lost all of my respect. I saw an Internist there for over 20 years & he was amazing. He retired & now I see Dr. Joseph Albergamo. He's a nightmare. His offices are dirty, full of storage & appear not to have been cleaned in years. I didn't want to touch anything or sit down. His assistant wore scrubs that looked like old pajamas & they were way too small so her panties were exposed by about 5". She also couldn't read any medications & it was like listening to a kindergartener learning to read. None of this inspired confidence. Then Dr. Albergamo came in & acted like I was bothering him by being there. He made me extremely anxious & I felt like I had to speak quickly or he'd cut me off & like I had to prove to him I was sick & needed help. I was recently hospitalized for heart problems & have had cardiac tests, including a heart cath, come back with negative results but he hadn't read anything my cardiologist sent to him so he tried to convince me it wasn't my heart I was feeling but rather indigestion & I asked if he'd seen my test results... he seemed irritated that I wasn't going to accept his prescription for antacids & get out of his hair & that he was going to actually have to spend more time being a doctor. He read them & said "yeah, yeah, you have some things going on with your heart. You need a monitor. You need to go see your cardiologist." I told him that I was sent to him as an Internist so that my cardiac care was being looked at more completely... that I'm getting the best care possible. That maybe something was causing my heart arrhythmia... My cardiologist wanted me to have full comprehensive care but I was clearly NOT going to get that from Dr. Albergamo. He treated me like I was a bother & though he said I did absolutely need a heart monitor when I asked if he'd run it through my insurance he rolled his eyes & agreed that 2 doctors requesting it would likely help it be approved but then paused & concluded that I should see my cardiologist for that. Dr. Albergamo couldn't be bothered to request a heart monitor for a cardiac patient sent to him he Our Lady of the Lake as a follow-up to hospitalization for a heart attack! This man brings shame to The Baton Rouge Clinic, a place that used to be amazing & that the best doctors in the city spent their lives building he is destroying. I was in his office for about 15 minutes, only maybe 7 minutes spent with him & it was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. I felt like I was in a third-world country from the condition of the treatment room to the appearance of the staff to the quality of care given by Dr. Albergamo. I won't be returning, I'm having all my files sent to a new Internist & I would not recommend The Baton Rouge Clinic to anyone. I've seen Dr. Albergamo a few times & I kept telling myself it was just an off day for him but this is a pattern. He's a crappy doctor. & one has to wonder why they'd keep him there if the other doctors were any better..??? I won't be returning. read more

Horrible. Ultraconservative. Dont go here if you are a woman, Black, LGBTQIA. No gynecologist on staff. You will be "tone policed", expect to be dismissed/excused and stripped of autonomy if you are a female patient. I have to repeat appointments and myself before I am heard/properly diagnosed. My tailbone almost ulcerated though my skin, I had to RESHEDULE a second appt and scream at my Southern Gem DR to actually "look" at my awful female anatomy. It was painful and required antibiotics. No gynecologist? Almost three years at this practice and my MD hasn't even referred me to where I "could/should" go and I just moved to the south. Standard males can get full medical care here. As per usual if a mean speaks once they are heard, not "crazy/malingering." I spoke with admin about it, apparently asking if the administration was "conservative" and had issues with "vaginas" was considered "swear words" and I got hung up on. If women can NOT get full equilateral medical whole body care here, or be heard, then WOMEN, TAKE YOUR BODY AND INSURANCE ELSEWHERE. WE DESERVE BETTER. THIS PLACE IS a patient THEY JUST WANT $$$$$ THEY DONT CARE ABOUT #HEALTHCARE read more

My primary care doctor is great, however, I needed questions to be answered after business hours. I spoke to a very rude and inconsiderate on-call doctor named Dr. Michael Rolfsen. I called after hours regarding a prescription medication that I was having side effects from and he had the nerve to tell me that I didn't have an emergency and that I should not be calling so late with my questions. I was taken aback by what he said and how could a person in his profession be so heartless to respond like that? So I called him an asshole and told him that I was definitely going to make a complaint on the service he did not provide. I don't care if I called with a hangnail, as an on-call physician you are there to provide a service and you have expectations of your obligations. I put his name on here so that readers will know what kind of ill mannered, inconsiderate, unprofessional smut this guy was and I cringe at the fact that such a person is working in the medical field of all places. People like this should be ashamed of themselves and they definitely do not contribute to restoring faith in humanity. read more
