Dr. Whitney is the best...ever! She's so wonderful and actually listened. She truly cared about what was ailing me, and was even proactive in her diagnosis. Tell me the last time you saw a doctor truly listen!?! She is a gem - protect her at all costs! I was in and out of the clinic in no time (35 minutes) including my strep test, and they even called my script in to Walgreens. The facility is very clean, and everyone from the front desk to the nurses, was so kind. Absolutely wonderful place if you find yourself having to run in for Urgent Care. Bonus points for having a television in the exam rooms, so one doesn't get bored. Great distraction! We were in BR to move a niece into LSU, but if we ever find ourselves in need of care and in Baton Rouge again, I would not hesitate to return - as well as recommend to anyone who needs urgent care. read more

I went in to get covid tested for work. The process is streamlined and setup so that minimum contact is made with other patients. You come in, sign in on the tablet, show ID & insurance, then wait in your car until you are called. I waited for more than an hour. It was long, but I expected it. And at least I got to wait in the comfort of my vehicle versus a cold waiting room. The technician that took my vitals and performed the test was very hospitable. The front desk staff greeted me and were nice as well. The only negative is the parking lot. Spots are few. However, I would visit this location again. read more

We went here strictly for the PCR travel Covid test. Neither of us were looking forward to this but they made the process so easy. Online registration, and incredibly pleasant people in a very clean facility. The only issue was waiting for over 45 minutes for "the swabs to arrive" (we had the very first appointments of the morning), but the staff was amazingly apologetic and we were done within minutes of the swabs arrival. God forbid we still have to do this the next time we travel, but if so - we will come here for this again. read more

I've been to a few different urgent care locations in the Baton Rouge area over the years, but I'd never been to this one. It was suggested by my employer. I had a cut that had gotten infected, so I needed to see someone sooner than later. The wait was a little bit longer, but they handled it very well and apologized for my wait. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Significantly more so than any other place I've ever been. It was clean and the seating allowed for social distancing. They took good care of me, and I'd absolutely recommend them if you are looking for an urgent care facility. read more

The front desk staff is EXTREMELY rude. They refused to verify that I did not have a copayment. The girl cut me off and wouldn't listen to any explanation I tried to give her. Honestly, I don't care how good the doctors are. I won't visit or recommend due to the extremely rude front desk employees. read more

The doctors here are amazing, but the front desk staff are extremely rude and do not care about you or why you're there. If you can deal with them you'll be happy you came. This is the second time we've been here and the front desk staff is consistently mean and unhelpful. They treat you like you're in an unemployment line and you're a terrible person. It's hard to be treated so rudely when you're in pain and if they inject their front staff with a dose of kindness it would go a long way. The MA was about 15% more kind. She had unfriendly bedside manners and coughed in our closed door room before the NP entered. The NP and nurse were amazing, similar to the last provider we met with. They had wonderful bedside manners and were very kind. No problems with the clinicians. read more

This place takes medicaid so do yourself a favor and come here instead of L*ke after hours! No wait at noon. My appointment took 20 minutes for sinus issues. The PA took a long time to explain why she was doing what she was doing with my medication and even gave me recommendations about my allergies. All the staff was super nice and the facility is super modern. read more

Went here today for a swollen gland and a tooth infection and my wait was only about 15 minutes. I hadn't been here so I had paperwork as well as a electronic check in. The receptionist was very sweet and explained everything we i to do. This place was so clean that you could actually smell the cleanness and freshness in the air. They also have a separate room for children with toys and a little table for them to play and sit at. Once in the back all the rooms look new and modern and all was super clean. The nurse and Doctor I saw were both nice, friendly and professional and I will be back next I need medical attention on a weekend or even if I can't get in to see my primary care doctor. The best thing about this place is that we have blue cross insurance thru my husbands work but we recently were mailed a separate card and a list of these urgent after hour places that we don't have to pay a copay !! To start, if you are getting a prescription from this place sent anywhere electronically, request a hard copy too!! In my only two visits, first being on Monday 11/11 and today 11/15 this urgent care has failed to send my full prescription to my pharmacy on both occasions, leaving me absolutely miserable for this entire week. My first visit on 11/11 was pleasant, the receptionist ladies were nice as well as my physician that day. They were efficient but failed to send over the most important prescription for the antibiotic to clear my sore and swollen throat! As far as today 11/15 - when I walked in it was fairly late around 8:35pm and I know they closed at 9 but something wasn't right with how my throat was still putting me through severe pain. When I walk in the two receptionist ladies were laughing and telling jokes while collecting my information/verifying my insurance (taking a very long time to get this information that should have been in the system from my last visit less than 4 days ago) which was irritating. Obviously, not entirely their fault, but clearly all the correct steps are not being taken by all of the staff members that work there throughout the week. Or there is a huge lack in communication in the office. Next I get sent to the back to wait on a physician. She asked what was going on and I mentioned that I was there on Monday for the same issues and nothing is getting better. She asked which medications were given to me and I told her. She mentioned that an antibiotic was listed on my paper but never sent out because the provider that helped me on Monday must have forgot to send it over or she took it off.......???? (Which brings back the lack of communication because none of the other physicians know what happened to the antibiotic that was supposed to be sent in on Monday evening) Which explains why I've been feeling the same all week without getting better because I was never given an antibiotic. Next she listens to my breathing for a minute or so then looks in my throat and says "yup it's time for antibiotics"..... I just stared at her like lady it was time for them on Monday when your coworker never sent in my prescription. She brings back my excuse and a paper that says I'm supposed to get an "additional" antibiotic to the one I never received. I asked if there was anything she could give me to help while I wait for the prescription and she said no. I leave out at 9:02pm and head to my pharmacy. I get to the pharmacy at 9:15 where the lady tells me nothing has been sent in for me and to check back in 15 minutes. I come back at 9:40 and she lets me know that there is absolutely no prescription sent in to any of the CVS in my area under my name. So for the SECOND TIME in ONE WEEK, Patient Plus has failed me and not sent in my prescription to my antibiotics to help me get better. I am completely miserable right now, it hurts to talk and swallow so I have to now go to the ER when this all could've been avoided with them actually sending in my prescription. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED, IRRITATED AND FRUSTRATED. read more

Went in on a Saturday since my normal doctor's office was closed. They were professional, office was clean. Waited in my car for a few minutes and they called me when it was my turn to go in. Got fixed up quickly. The nurse practitioner Lillian Robinson, FNP was FANTASTIC. Very kind, gave me a diagnosis quickly and sent me on my way. I wish she could be my regular doctor!! read more

I had the best experience at Patient Plus Urgent Care tonight. I wasn't feeling great when I walked in but the entire staff went out of their way to make me comfortable and help out. They were all extremely caring, polite, friendly, efficient, and such a pleasure to work with. I thought I had mono and I was so nervous so I talked the whole time. Everyone there was SO nice and helpful. They made me feel better about being there. Thankfully I don't have mono, but they still made sure I was taken care of for my symptoms. I imagine like so many other medical bills cost is determined by your insurance (or lack there of). My visit was about $70.00. Which was slightly less than what I paid when I went the first time because they charge you extra to start a file or something. Was in and out in about a hour. I didn't much like the waiting room. Stopped by to get flu shot for daughter; got it here last year. She put in her phone #, and it recognized it. Then sent "paperwork" via text link. Why? Should already have that info. After more than a couple of minutes, someone asked if we'd been there before. Yes - she asked for her I'd and insurance card. The told me I would have to wait in car - even though I'd already been in waiting room over 10 minutes. Yes, my daughter is over 18, but is also mentally handicapped. I used to love patient plus but unfortunately this past year I had an incident there that is still causing me issues. I received a tetanus shot there that was injected so incorrectly it gave me nerve damage in my shoulder. I was given this diagnosis by a doctor outside of patient plus, because when I went to patient plus about the issue they refused to give me any help and essentially tried to make it out like I was just dumb and that having such severe pain so long (over a month) after the initial injection was normal. It was not! I continued to have to be treated for nerve damage almost three months after the initial injection. I had to take time off of work in order to deal with this as it is something that effected my ability to perform my job. It went as bad as me constantly losing feeling in the hand on the arm that was injected. I am thankful to have recovered from this, but what a terrible experience to have! I will most certainly seek out other healthcare for such an issue in the future. If you aren't getting a shot, they're good enough. You should probably find somewhere else to get an emergency tetanus shot should the situation arise (unless the idea of nerve damage isn't an issue for you)! read more

The front desk clerks, Lashunda and another receptionist, we so incredibly rude from the moment we walked in the door. My husband and I brought our two year old to have an x-ray. No hi how or you or anything like that, just "ONLY ONE OARENT ALLOWED!" I was filling out her paperwork while he was watching our child. There was a sign at the front desk that clearly stated only one parent was allowed in the exam room with a minor. Said nothing about the lobby. Either way I would have understood but then they screamed for a second time so I walked outside to finish filling out paperwork. They then tried to charge me over $100 just to be seen instead of my regular $25 copay. Went to the lake after hours, paid our $25 copay, and was treated by a very friendly staff. read more
