I've been to a few different urgent care locations in the Baton Rouge area over the years, but I'd never been to this one. It was suggested by my employer. I had a cut that had gotten infected, so I needed to see someone sooner than later. The wait was a little bit longer, but they handled it very well and apologized for my wait. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Significantly more so than any other place I've ever been. It was clean and the seating allowed for social distancing. They took good care of me, and I'd absolutely recommend them if you are looking for an urgent care facility.

Went here today for a swollen gland and a tooth infection and my wait was only about 15 minutes.

I specifically came to this location because they offer IV Hydration treatments. I normally go to a…read morehydration place on Coursey but I've always been a little worried bc it's not a "medical office". I was excited when BR General announced they'd be offering treatments at Urgent Care locations earlier this year yet apprehensive about getting involved with a large hospital system. (Insurance, privacy, surprise bills, etc) Let me cut to the chase. DO NOT ENTER. My worries came to fruition today as I was hit with a surprise bill. I was given a $15 discount bc the hydration room would be occupied for 45 minutes before I could receive treatment. I agreed to stay in a regular room in exchange for the discount, which was a mistake. The exam table was incredibly uncomfortable & I should have negotiated 50% off. Like it would have mattered bc I still would have received a bill. Now to the medical side of things. If you're squeamish, move along. I've never had so much blood loss during an IV drip. I was covered in a medical pad "so my clothes wouldn't be ruined." Weird, but okay....Y'all, blood was EVERYWHERE. It went all over the floor & the cover & both nurses acted like this was normal. I can't make this up. The same thing happened after the IV was taken out. Blood & fluids all over the floor. In all my visits to VidaFlo, I've never had such an unsanitary, uncomfortable experience like I did at BR General Rapid Care. Screw being a medical office. It's not worth it & you still get hit with a bill later!

Went in for a rapid COVID test. Making an appointment online was easy. Walked in on time and…read morewaited less than 2 minutes to be brought back to a clean exam room. Nurse was polite and professional. Nasal swab was shallow (not the nasopharyngeal brain-deep sticks I was fearing!) and painless. While waiting, the nurse practitioner came in and gave a very thorough exam, even mentioning my prior history, indicating she had reviewed my medical record. She was knowledgeable, polite and professional. Waited a few more minutes for the test results, and then was on my way. I highly recommend this facility and their staff.

I went and got my Covid 19 vaccine today, When you go to get your vaccination you go in the main door closes to McCelland drive the reason I'm telling you that is there are is a Emergency entrance and a urgent care entrance and a primary care main entrance and this is a big place so I just am trying to save you a few steps, me I went in on the far end because I had no idea where to go but as soon as I got inside a nice staff worker told me I needed to go outside and down to the other end at the main entrance. I got the Pfizer it vaccinates you for COV-2, SARS and COVID 19. I got the first dose today and go back in 3 weeks for the second dose. I truly hate shots but I actually didn't even feel the needle. When I walked inside there was a staff member taking temperatures and she took mine and I told her I was there to get my Covid 19 vaccination she told be where to go with was basically directly behind her. Then I told the next staff member the same thing and she asked my name and checked her list to make sure I was on it and had me sit down to b called. I was called in less than 5 minutes and gave the receptionist all my name and then I sat back down until I was called in another room to get my shot, took only about 5 more minutes. When I was called into the next area I was asked a few questions and then sent to one of the nurses and then verified my name and birthday and given my first dose of the vaccine then you go wait in a room for 15 minutes to make sure you don't have a bad allergic reaction then you can go. I just want to say every single staff member from the lady taking the temperatures to the nurse that gave me the shot and the staff member that was watching me for the 15 minutes everyone is exactly nice and helpful. Update March 20, 2021 Today I got my second dose of the Pfizer Covid 19 vaccine and again it didn't hurt at all and so far I haven't had any side effects and knock on wood hopefully I won't.
