The roads leading here are beautiful; a mix of country, farm, and forested landscape. The farm store is simple yet offers a nice selection of their own and guest products. As you're browsing you'll be able to hear production work in the rear. There was nobody working when I came, so the honor system was in effect - with a cash drawer to leave your payment and make change. The prices here are truly at a farm-to-consumer level, which I greatly appreciate. They offer many dairy products and have a glass exchange program if you prefer your dairy in glass. Other products include frozen meats and local coffee, for example. I'm not sure what the hours of the ice cream service are, but I'm sure it's as fresh as it gets. read more

This place has the best ice cream around. The cake batter ice cream is absolutely scrumptious. The people are always nice, the shakes and sundaes are great. And the chocolate milk is the best I have ever tasted. I have had chocolate milk on at least two continents and probably eight or nine countries. This is thick, creamy chocolatey all the way through. I liked being able to meet the cows (and pet the babies) whose milk I would be drinking and eating in ice cream. I loved the vanilla ice cream and the chocolate milk was divine. There is nothing like country tucker. read more

A bit off the beaten path but a wonderful drive. It's a farm with a nice clean store that sells raw milk and other products. The prices are fair and similar to area Farmer's Markets. The milk is truly delicious. It's not organic though. The owner is nice and they take credit cards. Will be back soon. read more

We were introduced to this milk by a home-delivery company that promptly failed. Now I discover I can get it at the Meat Market in Summit, NJ. Simply the best milk ever. One caveat: They sell whole cream-on-the-top milk but my wife doesn't like the consistency. read more

This is truly a special place. The cows are grass fed and they are allowed to roam. I have visited several times and I am delighted that Dreyer Farms in Cranford now carries the full line of milk. I have toured the factory and met the farmer. The production facility is impeccably clean. This milk is thee only milk that many of the finest coffee shops and restaurants in NYC will use. It is the only milk my family has been drinking going on 5 years, I only wish I found it sooner. Much better than Ronnybrook or Trickling Springs, i've done the research. read more

We were going to the farmers market once a week for milk. We were happy with the products and service. Recently it was brought to our attention from a friend that, although Battenkill likes to represent themselves as farmers market material (they don't use antibiotics, but you get milk like that anywhere) because they are not antibiotic free, they are using GMO feed, and the farm is run like any other large scale dairy. I Emailed them directly because I coulndn't find any info on their site denying use of antibiotics, and have heard nothing back. I guess that's my answer. read more
