Batteries Plus is fairly new in Gastonia but I have been buying from this chain for years. This time I needed to replace my dead battery in my watch yea I still wear a watch. I had purchased a battery with a lifetime replacement warranty for$15.00 in Florida a few years ago. I was hoping that the record of my receipt would be in their computer. And yes it was. The gent behind the counter entered my phone number and found it. Within 5 minutes I had a perfectly working watch. The store is fairly small but well stocked with bulbs, string lights, motorcycle batteries, cell phone stuff and much more. A little like a RadioShack but more focused. The store is clean and the gents behind the counter were friendly and helpful. So I also got a,battery tender for my other car that rarely gets driven so it won't go dead. Thanks guys! read more

I bought a new 12 volt golf cart battery which would not hold a charge. It worked less two 1 day and golf cart quit working. We sent the cart to the repair shop since it had a brand new battery, thinking that could not possible be the problem. The golf cart repair shop confirmed that we were sold a bad battery that will not hold a charge. I returned the battery expecting a replacement or refund since it was only a few days old and would not hold a charge. I was informed that it just needed to be put on a charger, he would put it on a charger and I could pick it up in the morning. I explained that it is not normal for a brand new battery to require charging after just one days use and this was unacceptable. He said there is nothing else he could do and a replacement or refund was not an option. I told him to keep the d*#%+ battery and I would start buying my batteries from somewhere else. He seemed fine with this and made no apologies. We bought a new golf cart battery elsewhere and our golf cart runs absolutely great. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. Not good is understatement....awful customer service...asked for battery replacement for key fob & long story short fob was dismantled & could've been stranded there & forced to purchase new key fob...I went to Nissan place & they fixed me up...Ol guy at battery plus was awful he not only dismantled my key fob but did not put battery back or nothing & didn't tell me no battery was in fob & looked at me with a smirk on his face knowing he improperly put key fob back together....luckily my wife was nearby & took me to Nissan place & once I returned to my car I let him know I was good despite poor customer service read more

They don't know what they are doing!!! My boyfriend has an iPhone 5SE and he cracked the screen last week, on Sunday he took it in to have the screen replaced after making an appointment. Well the guy who replaced the screen broke the camera and didnt mention it to us after we waited 4hr for it and he didnt properly install the screen right so on Monday my boyfriend took it back and waited another 5 hr for them to "replace" it well the next day the screen was popping up on all the side like it was properly placed in AGAIN!!! So he took it back today and has been waiting 4hr+ AGAIN! I don't understand why they cant just do their job correctly the first time, we have wasted almost 15hr over the last 3 days messing with these people! RIDICULOUS! read more

They say that they do keys and key fobs! But good luck getting them to be able to do it. They can't get the key you need, then their machine is down. Then the General Manager has a bad attitude. I feel bad for some of the workers, they were as nice as can be. I watched the manager give one of his employees an attitude right in front of several customers who were standing there. After all that they told me to get a key which I did - and then come to find out it wouldn't work either. So don't go there to get the new "chipped" car keys made! read more

I made an appointment online to get a replacement screen for my Galaxy S5 screen. When I arrived, it took me several tries to convey to the sales person that I was there for a replacement screen. He would type a few things in his workstation, then ask "now what do you need, a battery?". No I need a replacement screen for my Galaxy S5. After several rounds of this, he informed me that the repair man would be in around 11am. Then what was the purpose of me making an appointment for 9:30am? "To make you wait in line", I was informed. Made a online appointment to get broken screen fixed at 5:15 pm on Saturday 11/12/16 for 6:00pm. My choices for the appointment were 6,6:30, and 7:30. At 5:42 when I'm 2 minutes away from the store a man calls to tell me the technician is leaving at 6:00 and would I like to reschedule. No I don't want to reschedule I will be 15 minutes early for my appointment because I am 2 minutes away. The man says he can reschedule the appointment for Monday. I debate on making the appointment for Monday and tell him that I'll just call and cancel if I find a different place that's open tomorrow(Sunday). He feels the need to tell me that I'm not gonna find a place to fix it tomorrow. Ok whatever. I'm irritated at this point while sitting in the parking lot so I decide to go in and meet this rude man. The store hours are from 8am-8pm it is 5:45pm. I ask the man how long does it take for the repair and he rudely asks "for what" considering I made a online appointment with all the details and just got off the phone with the man who cancelled the appointment I assumed he already knew but he didn't so I reply a samsung s5. He sighs and says a couple of hours. I walk out of the store to find a number to complain about his bad attitude and rudeness and can't find anything. Google on my phone and thought why am I available to make a appointment up til 7:30 when the man had told me that wasn't a option when I made the appointment because the tech leaves at 6. I walked back in the store to prove him wrong because he pretty much was calling me a liar. I asked the question if I left the phone tonight could I pick up early Monday. He said that I could leave the phone and pick up late Monday afternoon. I'm furious at this point and just leave and tell myself never to do business there if that's the only store to shop at in the whole wide world. I was never rude or disrespected the man I had my 10 year old daughter with me. We get in the car and she asks me if I heard what he said as we were leaving. I said no and it doesn't really matter because we will never see or deal with HIM again. She says well as you turned to walk away he mumbled under his breath THATS WHAT I THOUGHT. Whatever that is supposed to mean I don't care so came home instead of turning around and confronting the man like I really wanted to but what would that do. I called corporate and filed a complaint and waiting to hear something back which I know I probably won't so that brings me to this review to educate people like you and to save you some time and trouble. I stopped by today at 4:00 PM to try and get the cracked screen on my I phone 7 fixed. The guy looked at my phone and asked what kind it was. I explained that it was an I phone 7? He then explained that he could fix the screen but that it would not be ready until 7:30 PM, and I stated that 7:30 would be fine. He then began taking my information and typing it into his computer. He then asked for my password and I asked why. He tossed my phone across the counter at me, it bounced and I caught it, and said that he could not replace my screen without my password. I explained to him that I would never leave my phone with a stranger and provide my password. He then advised that it would not be fair to me or him unless i provided him with my password so that he could check the functions of my phone. Seriously? You want me to leave my phone with a complete stranger for 3 1/2 hours with my password? Are you kidding me? As everyone knows, your phone holds all kinds of information including banking, passwords, and countless personal information. Every time I have had a screen replaced, upon returning to pick the phone up, the technician has asked me to unlock the phone so that I may test the functions of the phone. If you need a screen replaced in Gastonia, do not go here! Save yourself some trouble, there is no telling what kind of information these sickos are keeping from your phone. STEER CLEAR! read more
