I visited Batteries Plus Bulbs in Kissimmee today regarding a battery issue, and the experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment I walked in, the employee, Jazmin, was very rude and appeared more focused on her phone than assisting a customer. This is already the second battery my wife has purchased from this location, and unfortunately, this one is defective. The battery is visibly bulging, and I had it inspected by another professional, who confirmed that it is bad and not holding a charge. The battery was purchased less than a month ago and is still under warranty. However, instead of offering a reasonable solution, I was told I would need to leave the battery there for 24-48 hours. This would leave me without a vehicle, forcing me to figure out how to get to work and take my kids to school. That is not a realistic or acceptable resolution for a paying customer with a defective product under warranty. The level of customer service I received was unacceptable rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. It felt like assisting a customer was less important than being on a phone. I will be returning tomorrow in hopes of speaking with someone more knowledgeable and willing to resolve this properly. If this matter is not handled appropriately, I will be escalating it further, including filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Customers deserve respect, urgency, and fair treatment especially when dealing with a defective product still under warranty. read more

5 seconds on Google is smarter than the clerk in the store. I was shopping for batteries for my computer backup at work and had the dead batteries with me. My battery had volts and watts listed but the clerk wanted to know the amps, which wasn't listed. The clerk was also adamant that amp hours are the same as amps. A quick serarch on Google shows the difference and shows watts / volts = amps. May not be common knowledge to everyone but I'd expect someone who works selling batteries for a living should know this. The clerk the by dumb luck found the right battery after I rejected his first. And I was able to Google and check for myself. read more

This is the most disgusting place to purchase batteries for a disability scooter. My scooter kept dying when I was out that had to find a 120 outlet to plug in to continue driving. We thought it was the cart, took it in for repairs and the batteries were bad. 4 weeks after 1 year warranty! Except the batteries were bad for months, The manager at Batteries Plus wouldn't give an inch, Stupid us this the 2nd set in 2 years. Ash at 3308 Thacker. I usually don't take the time to give feedback, but I wanted to make sure I left POSITIVE feedback here on the Batteries Plus Bulbs website, as well as on the yelp.com website, as the service I have received recently has exceeded my expectations. I had issues with my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse last week that resulted in my car battery dying completely. I lost audio, display, camera and a few other functions. Luckily, I was able to have my vehicle battery jumped so my vehicle was back up and running and avoided having to wait 70 minutes for Roadside Assistance, but the previous functions mentioned were still inoperable. I immediately took to my vehicle to my dealership's service department and waited 5 hours... for them to fix, literally nothing. I then had to wait 5 days to have an appointment with my dealership's sister location and when I arrived, they told me I would have to leave my vehicle there for TWO DAYS because they were backed up and behind schedule... just like my home dealership. I then sought advice from my brothers and friends and they suggested checking Auto Zone. I went to 3 different Auto Zones and they told me my battery was still good at 92%, yes, because it was *just* jumped. I didn't feel comfortable driving around waiting for it to break down again... Bottom line, Russell at the 3308 Greenwald Way N Kissimmee, FL 34741 store, tested my battery and saw that it was charged, but it was indeed a bad battery. He then looked up my battery type, told me the price and gave me all the info I needed to know. The battery was not in stock when I originally visited, but he followed up on me to let me know that the battery was available. I arrived shortly after all of the service lights popped back on and I don't remember the gentlemen's name, but he was also very helpful. He looked up my vehicle information, I purchased the new battery that carries a 4-year warranty, no installation fee, additional or hidden costs, he removed the old, put in the new and I was back in business with a brand new battery AND all of my functions returned!!! I was very, very happy!! Thank you so much to Russell and his co-worker!!! I HIGHLY recommend Batteries Plus Bulbs. The employees there have incredible knowledge of their products and service!!! read more

There is a less reputable business next door that was going to charge me an arm and a leg for something I didn't need. I decided to get a second opinion at Batteries Plus Bulbs and they were honest enough to simply open my phone and air-spray the area around my cell phone's front-facing microphone and in seconds, it was fixed!!! The gentleman I interacted with was clearly very skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly. He knew what the exact problem before he even looked at my phone, just from my description. I didn't catch his name but he was a younger man, with dreadlocks. It was such a refreshing experience compared to the repair place next door. read more

BE AWARE, I brought in my car's key because the battery was low, but was still working when I walked in. They opened the remote and realized that they couldn't replace the battery, instead they said I had to go to the dealer. That was last time the key worked. When I went to the mechanic they said the key was damaged, couldn't be reprogrammed, and I had to purchase a new one for $265. When I contacted the store, and provided the invoice and a credit card receipt for the $265 they said it was not their fault, they just opened and closed it, they couldn't have damaged it; refused to reimburse the expense unless I would be able to provide proofs how the key got damaged. The only thing I know is that they key was working before I walked in their place and never worked again after that. Once again...BE AWARE!!! read more

Brought an iPhone 8 in to get battery changed that has never been worked on before. Repair man said they couldn't fix the battery because the screws were stripped. We took it to U break I fix and they were able to fix it, no problem. We also noticed that the phones home button no longer worked when it worked perfectly well that morning. Store manager did a test of the phone before we turned the phone in and manager signed off that everything worked on the phone, including the home button. When we went to U break I fix, they made the diagnosis that the home button didn't work and we went to U break I fix not even 30 minutes after we left Batteries & Bulbs. Absolutely no way we could have damaged the home button. Will not be returning and I see that they have a track record of breaking people's personal property (see the car key review). read more

Their website was pretty cool. Scheduled the installation online. Unfortunately, I had an issue, so called the day of and they were quite accommodating. I showed up and this wonderful man (I wish I had gotten his name) came right out with the battery and sweet toolset. Had new battery installed in 10 mins. Didn't lose any of my electronics settings. I am so happy with the whole situation. It was excellent. I will make all automotive battery purchases there in the future.
