Came in with an iPhone XR with the a broken screen. I was given the caveats that Face ID might not work after the repair in an iPhone 12 or above... but after the screen repair they did not run the diagnostic when I got there because the shift had changed. They told me they would do it when I got there, So I signed the paper and left... Bur my Face ID did not work and I did Internet searches and it seems to be a common enough problem. In addition, I had lots of vibrating of my screen and other problems making the phone almost useless. I think they tried to give me the caveats but I felt ripped off and like there is nothing I can do. I am never going to do a phone repair anywhere but the Apple Store or with OEM parts from now on. Just bought a new iPhone 15...super expensive week... after a $155 screen repair. I do not recommend repairs here. My only consolation is that I was able to backup the old device because the screen works ok enough for that after the repair. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A "LIFETIME WARRANTEE" no longer means "LIFETIME" anymore... At least not according to this place. I understand that they have new owners, and now it would seem they also have new opinions as to how they honor their warrantees. So... I tried to get 2 of my phone batteries warranteed today. They informed me that I misunderstood what their "Lifetime Warrantee" meant... A "Lifetime Warrantee", as per this establishment, means that "For the life of the battery, you can warrantee the battery ONLY ONE TIME... then the warrantee is dead. Whereas a "ONE YEAR" warrantee means that you can swap out a defective battery within only one year, then the warrantee is also dead." Not a very big difference actually between a one year warrantee and a lifetime warrantee then. This was not the terms that were explained to me when I bought the batteries new. I thought that "Lifetime" meant "Lifetime"... You pay a little bit more for the battery, which, by the way, these batteries are most certainly not the cheapest around, by far... But, if they were truly "Lifetime Warranteed" like you would commonly find at an auto parts store, the parts are warranteed for as long as you own your car. If that was in fact true, then the cost vs the benefit would be worth it. In this case? Not so much. I guess that is my fault for assuming.. Huh? Well, if you DO happen to go into this store... (I would not recommend it, or ONLY as a last resort.) Make SURE that you have them FULLY explain their warrantees to you if you are interested in buying anything. Better yet, get the warrantee in writing so that they can't pull anything shady on you like I believe that they did on me. The customer is always right... I purchased my first Duracell battery for my car in December, it failed several weeks later. Thinking it was an alternator problem I paid $850.00 for a new one. The first Duracell battery tested dead and was replaced with a new one that failed several weeks later. I tested my charging system, starter motor and battery. The analysis indicated my battery had failed. Off AGAIN to Batteries and Bulbs but this time for a refund as I am done with Duracell. No such deal; you only have two weeks to return any battery for a refund. Okay give me a new battery under the 36 month warranty. "We don't have one ready to give you". The bottom line, I received a 50% on my purchase refund but only after owner Nelson performed an override on their computer. Batteries and Bulbs customer service is good. Their batteries and policies suck. Go to NAPA or Interstate for your battery needs. read more

Every time I have some sort of odd lighting or battery need this place has the solution. Weird European night light? Yeah, they have an adapter and bulb for that. Tiny lamp that needs a short LED bulb? Check. Strange battery size? Yep. I have been to this store several times now, and the employees have always been super helpful. Yeah, I'm doing a review of a battery store. Why? Because sometimes there is a place, I won't say an Eden, because what's an Eden? But sometimes there's a place, well, it's place for its time and place. And that's Batteries & Bulbs, in Salt Lake City, when you're in need of batteries, or bulbs. (Apologies to the Coen Brothers for the butchering of their script.) The store is now Batteries and Bulbs. And they have Batteries and Bulbs. But they also have extremely friendly salespeople who are also very knowledgeable about, well, batteries and bulbs. I came in needing a lead acid battery for my electric lawn mower. The sales person helped me with reviewing my options, seeing if the cheaper battery would do what I needed it to (I would), described how the batteries worked, and recycled my old batteries, so I wouldn't have a Superfund site in my garage. There are certainly lots of places you can go to get a battery, but if you need that hard-to-find one, or you need advice about which battery to buy, I'd choose Batteries & Bulbs, particularly this one on 3300 South, any time. read more

Went in for a screen repair on my IPhone. Phone was in perfect working condition other than a cracked screen from the night before. No hello, no smile, just "Let me see it" the technician does a test straight out of a carnival game supposedly showing me how the phone is bent and can't be repaired; Even though when I try it seems fine to me. I'm not sure if they didn't want to do the repair, or wanted to up sale me on something, but when I asked questions all I got was more attitude. Getting know where I asked if they wanted my business or not, reminding them they aren't the only people in town that preform repairs. She hands my phone back with a sarcastic "Good luck". Long story short I'm writing this review with my perfectly functioning fixed phone done same day from a competitor, that amazingly didn't even mention a bend or how it's not fixable.. read more

I am sending this review in for my friend and she was in 1 December to order a specialized lightbulb. The clerk was very friendly and helpful and worked hard to find one. There was not one in stock and so we had to order it and he said the order would go out that week and the bulb would be in the following week. Never heard anything never heard anything, finally called on 3 January and they said it would either come in that day or the next day. I stopped in today which is the next day, and the clerk could not have been more rude --he said that he didn't have time to deal with me and that I kept repeating myself and that he had other customers there. It looked like there were some boxes of orders that had come in and of course that takes a while to check and shelf. But I didn't need to be treated with such disrespect. I tried to tell him that I knew he was just the messenger but he walked away and told me basically just to leave the store that he didn't have time for me. I wish I knew his name, but we have been in before and I've been treated very well and this was just not a good visit. I really don't think I'm going to go in and pick my bulb up and I'll just eat the cost of this so-called special order. They said there will be no refund on special orders anyway. read more

I really loved the customer service that Keifer and the sweet woman with red hair gave me. They were so helpful and nice to me. BUT, the reason I'm giving one star is because of the owner of this store. His name is Nels and he is extremely rude and patronizing! In the morning when I brought in my phone he was extremely rude to me when I took my phone in to get the screen replaced. This screen had a warranty on it and it had a crack in the upper right hand corner but after two days when it got cracked the screen came out of the frame. The screen actually separated itself from the frame and I understand that it was the screen being broken and the adhesive that it was manufactured with that caused the screen to pop out but, the manager tried to bully me into not accepting the warranty and he was extremely rude to me and patronizing. When I went to pick up my phone he came up to me and again was super rude and acted like he was amazing because he "didn't have to replace it" but he did anyway. It had a warranty! That's what a warranty is meant for. If he had been respectful and nice and told me that I couldn't use the warranty and that I had to pay for it I wouldn't have had a problem but he was so rude and disrespectful that I will not be going back there! read more

I have the bad habit of leaving my key in the ignition on my scooter which causes the battery to run down. However it's a battery it should have more than one or two cycles I've been rundown. That is absolutely not the case with the batteries purchased from batteries plus bulbs. The batteries I have purchased here are the worst batteries perhaps on the planet. I have not purchased them once not twice not three times but four times. The last battery lasted One cycle. I forgot to turn off the key and the battery ran down I jumped the battery ran the scooter next time I tried to start it battery dead it had one cycle one cycle that's it. For a small scooter battery it cost $99 literally WTF. The only way that these batteries could have such low cycles is they're taking the cores and trying to reinvigorate them you're not buying a new battery these batteries are terrible. They do not provide any warranty. I will never ever buy anything from the store again their batteries are a rip off and they are absolutely not new but they charge two or three times the price they should for a small scooter battery. read more

The only reason I am giving three stars instead of one is because of great service for past years. I have recommended this store before I lived in this area. But now I am not so sure. I took in an ipad for a battery more than two weeks and was told it would be ready in one week. I left ipad and paid full charge for the ipad. When I called after 10 days for the status, I was told the battery for my ipad had come in but they were waiting for the guy who sold me the service to install it BECAUSE they don't do that service--they send it out. This fellow had worked there for two years and "should know better". I asked when this would happen and was told within a few days. When I pursued a date, I was told they couldn't tell me because their schedules are emailed privately and they did not know when this employee would be working at their store again. When I asked for a manager, I was told I would get the same answer. My options were to wait or pick up my ipad and they would refund my payment. I decided to wait the few days as I don't like running around wasting time and gas and adding to pollution of our city. It has now been another week and nothing!!! I wish I had thought fast enough to insist they send it out as usual for repair which takes a week. Then I would have it back by now. I am so disappointed that this store would review their "dirty laundry" regarding their employees to a customer and that it was more important to teach the employee a lesson than to fulfill a promise to a customer. I hate going to another store when this one is a half block from my home but going there now leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I suppose I must go pick up my ipad and get it repaired someplace else. The battery i bought here for my phone displays the same statistics as my oem battery however it only lasts about 50% maybe %60 of what a year old samsung battery lasts. There is some sort of plastic piece at the end of the battery that immediately fell off making the battery loose inside the phone!! I pushed the piece back onto the sticky tape on the end of the battery but it falls off sometimes when i remove the battery. The only real advantage this store has is that you can get a cheap chinese knockoff battery asap. THE ONLY ADVANTAGE!!!! If you can wait to get a better battery go ahead and do yourself the favor. read more

I recently had an I pad 2 repaired here, the screen was broken, it needed a digitizer, and the Wi-Fi was torn out of it.
