I brought the whole case in and the guys removed the battery, installed the new ones and did a voltage check. Then carried the whole unit to my car. My only complaint, and it's a big enough complaint to knock the rating down to three stars, is when I was on their website placing the order I was prompted to leave a tip for the battery rebuild. Seriously? I'm so sick of everyone asking for tips I would have backed out and walked away if I had another option to get my batteries repaired somewhere else.

I had two EGO batteries rebuilt by MTO in March of 24. A 2.0Ah (upgrade to 2.5Ah) and a 7.5Ah. Both…read morewere older 2nd gen batteries. I have been happy with both rebuilds. The electronics on the 2.0Ah died about two weeks ago. This of no fault of MTO. Total age on the battery was right at 6.5 years. The 7.5Ah battery is still running fine. I have it running in a Peak Power two battery mower with a newer 7.5Ah EGO bought about the same time as the rebuild. Charge range and charge time are almost exactly same so far. So we will see which one goes first. Before I send any more EGO batteries to be rebuilt by MTO I will check the original manufacture date on the battery. If it's 5 years old or older I probably will not send it for rebuild. 5-7 years seems to be about the life span of the control boards in the batteries. I had a few questions about shipping and called MTO. They were very helpful. Turn around time was very quick. The cost is about a third less than the cost of a new EGO brand battery. You will need to be careful when getting a -Good Price- online for an EGO brand battery. Some are 1st, 2nd, or old manufactured 3rd gen batteries. They have been sitting on the shelf a while and they are trying to get rid of new old stock. Also EGO will not warranty batteries bought from third party, non-authorized dealers.

This company is incredibly deceptive. They advertise that they have an address in the United States…read morejust to make sales, but then after you place the sale, then they notify you that it's shipping from Hong Kong and you're not going to get it for 3 weeks. I tried to cancel the order due to this deceptive practice and they refused. Their prices are two or three times higher than everywhere else I found but I ordered from them because they said they were in the US and I knew I would get it quicker. I'm not looking to wait 3 weeks to receive a battery. I would have just ordered it from China at the cheaper price myself had they not been deceptive. Do not order from this company!
