The front office does not seem to offer many activities for children, and I only saw one child during my experience here which leads me to believe that the target audience served here is likely the elderly. There are restrooms available, though, likely not for public use. Bring your own water because there are no fountains around! Unsure about the staff, other than Jessica, at the front desk being friendly and helpful! Both ladies managing the front do a great job. I was referred here by Carolyn Weaver, at St. Vincent De Paul to Doctor Tek Fish. He is no longer accepting patients at this time, and there are 4 alternate providers who are taking new patients. My appointment was with Doctor Barnes. I have Molina insurance. This clinic offers inserts for $65 and custom orthotics for ~$600. There was an ease of scheduling and the clinic also offers additional out-of-pocket treatments. Unfortunately, insurance only covers custom orthotics if you are diabetic. The doctors at wound care were urging me to go back to Rebound as well where they wanted to cut my foot up some more. They were telling me that I wasn't going to heal but I didn't believe that, I've always seen myself walking again. So I went to Dr. Wenzel with a possible bone infection and she basically said that she was skeptical that it was a bone infection and she wanted to wait and see how I healed because apparently if you do have an infection your wounds don't close and there would be obvious signs of the infection, my foot looked great the whole time and was healing week by week and getting smaller. So we waited. The doctors at wound care were very condescending and acted like I was an idiot and that Wenzel didn't know what she was talking about, they really wanted me to get my foot cut off and were baffled that she didn't wanna do surgery, she wasn't so quick to cut me up, she's a smart woman, a smart doctor, she knows what bone infections look like, she operates on them all the time so I trusted her opinion, I trusted my gut and here I am a year later completely healed and just starting to walk. Thank God for Dr. Wenzel who believed in me from the beginning. And shout out to Dr. Adams as well, Ankle & Foot is a great practice with great doctors.

She is changing her practice to this new concierge model (basically only for the rich) which leaves us now without a PCP as of September. To give me a heads up so I could start looking for a new provider (considering how difficult it is to get in with anyone these days and when you do get an appointment it is at least 6-9 months out). Now I will experience a delay in my healthcare and most likely be without my meds until I can get established somewhere else. I am shocked as I have never had an unpleasant experience with the office staff nor Dr. Speaker. They are always warm, gracious and helpful. Dr. Speaker is a teacher at heart, as well as someone who works above and beyond for the patient. I'm fortunate in that a I don't need to go often but when I use the portal monthly to get prescription refills she responds right away with answers to any questions about insurance and options, if necessary. When I have my yearly physical, Dr. Speaker spends so much time with me that I begin to feel uncomfortable that we're holding up other patients waiting to see her - she is that thorough and present. And often I will walk out with referrals to specialists or names of someone/something in the community that may help. In summary, I can't say enough about Dr. Speaker. I don't know for sure how long I have been seeing her - probably around 20 years. In my 78 years I have been seen by many doctors, Dr. Speaker is the best at listening, teaching, responding and overall empathy to my health.
