This battleship memorial is very grand and impressive. You can pay a $40 admission fee to enter or it's free to look at the ship from the outside. The pier is also a great vista point for USS Arizona Memorial.

The ship is neat, but they are just plain running a scam with the shuttles. They are selling more tickets than spaces and the wait is 30 minutes to an hour to get back to the parking lot. Not worth the wait especially when they have the nerve to charge $40 per person to visit. There are many steep staircases and narrow walkways so if you can't climb, it's not really something I would recommend.

Attended a military ceremony here - a stunning location! Have also done a tour - it's a fascinating ship to tour and the gift shop is actually pretty worthwhile.

I spend over two hours at this battleship Missouri Memorial and didn't even go to every room in a ship. I feel like I go to the maze, and I can get lost in the ship. I enjoy seeing how they present every room and giving information. lots of analog equipment, old computer, 80's style and before. The battleship is like a small city and has everything in it, rooms for officer and sailor, galley, kitchen, liberty, doctor office, shop, dental office, fire department, lawyer office, internet room etc. I get to see the deck that Japanese and American sign the formal surrender agreement. And actually, the next day after we visit the ship is September 2rd the 80th years celebration of the end of WWII that is why they put all flags to decorate the ship. after two hours I decide to get some rest and skip some floor and rooms because if I go to every detail, it will be more than one day to complete all museum.

Wow awesome tour. Lots of history, great displays. A+. A must go to if you are near by. Good food stands and dolewhip deserts.

It has its own post office. Mail was picked up regularly by helicopter

This was an amazing tour. The guide gives you great information about the guns, their weight, their range, etc. going below to see what the sailors experienced was eye opening. The museum o had many items donated by the Japanese. These ships are floating cities. They have everything. This was inspiring and emotional. A must see tour

I had a good experience learning about all of the things that took place on the ship, looking at the dorms and the mess hall but when we went into the inside of the ship, I got claustrophobic wouldn't recommend if you're scared of enclose spaces but otherwise I had a pretty good experience

We visited the Battleship Missouri on the last day of our trip to Hawaii. We did the Arizona Memorial first and were still able to hop on a shuttle to Ford Island with minimal wait in the late morning on a Saturday. I would recommend eating once you get there, the food options are much better at this site than the snack bar at Pearl Harbor. We enjoyed the food truck and covered seating. It took us about an hour and a half to go through the Missouri as the self-led option. Not sure how long with a guide. We weren't rushed during that time and we got in line for the shuttle back around 2:15pm. The line was long and took over 30 min for us to get on a bus when we had to meet our tour bus back at Pearl Harbor at 3:15pm. They stop at the aviation museum next so you need to factor that in. This is a must see when visiting Pearl Harbor so make sure you allot enough time to experience it and get back.

My family and I did a self guided tour through battleship Missouri. My son learned a lot about the history of Pearl Harbor and my daughter had fun exploring the big ship. Staff were available to ask questions if needed. There was a shave ice place once finishing the tour which was refreshing since it is the summer and it's hot on the ship.

Educational experience for our family. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Watch your head if you're 6ft+.

This tour is one of my meaningful ones in Hawaii. We booked a full Pearl Harbor Tour and this is one of our stops. Guided tours were available but we preferred being on our own. We took our time checking out the ins and outs of the ship - it was very easy navigating it as there were signs everywhere, guiding you where to go every step of the way. My friends and I love to read so we took time reading all the posts and historical notes in each section. The ship is amazingly almost like a city on its own. We saw the cramped quarters of the soldiers, their mess hall, dental office, post office, kitchen, board game/card games tables, bakery. We've always known the valor of our soldiers and veterans, but being inside this ship made all of their sacrifices look real and tangible.

This was a very historical event that I wasn't as much aware of. The staff were nice and informational. I do have a harder time hearing and our tour guide's native language wasn't English so I chose to go out on my own, away from the tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and proud of working there which made for a good experience. It was clear what parts you were and were not able to see. The shuttle took a while to get back to Pearl Harbor.

If visiting Hawaii, this is a great place to visit and learn about Americas military history. The ship is well maintained and if the tour has you parched or hungry, there's affordable refreshments served. I came aboard for a Military Retirement Ceremony and everything was top-notch!! I also enjoy that there are volunteers available to answer questions throughout the tour.

I'd say the prices were reasonable, considering how much takeout and restaurant food costs these days. The burger was fat as hell and the dog wasn't Costco sized but definitely satisfied the kid. They had a flight simulator inside the internal museum as well as a gift shop and restaurant. The Hangar still had the original bullet holes in the glass from the Pearl Harbor attack which was a really neat part of history to be able see. They also have a section where they are restoring some planes and helicopter parts. My favorite thing they had was this wood paneled plane in the hangar. They also had some old Military trucks out front of the hangar that were really cool. I highly recommend visiting the Aviation Museum while at Pearl Harbor.

I found him through TripAdvisor when I was seaching for a private circle tour. We were a group of two, and I wanted something small, custom and personal, over an impersonal group tour. If you are looking for the same, Dan is your man. Booking through the external sites is easy, but I recommend calling Dan and booking through him directly. He is polite and prompt in his service. He has a fleet of three vehicles: two jeeps and a van. We took a tour in one of his Jeeps. We scheduled a pickup at our Waikiki Beach hotel the day before. He picked us up promptly at 7am for our tour on the scheduled day. He was very professional, fun and a great conversationalist. He took us to some very beautiful spots of places with names I have trouble pronouncing. He will point out the spots of simple beauty, but also take you to places you never knew you needed to visit. Every place he goes, he has a story or experience there. He seems to know everyone, which makes your tour very efficient. He also adjusts your tour's pace to you, and you will never feel rushed. Some of the lookouts and beaches were so breathtaking. The Pipeline Beach area is a must. You would think places like that do not exist, but WOW. Even if you are not a surf fan, you will appreciate a stop there. The restaurants he takes you to are great! We stopped at Fumi's and Aoki's and I was impressed by both. The shopping area we went to on the North Shore was nice. Lots of photo ops, and Dan will even show you some filming locations from movies and tv shows. We got lucky and even saw quite a few whales during our tour! Overall, this is probably one of the best private tours I have been on in all my years of traveling. Dan knows his stuff, and we were super happy with our experience. Customer service, excellent. Driving, excellent. Tour stops, excellent. And Dan, excellent. Thank you, Dan!
