We built a new bathroom in our Lake Naci house and Garrett and his crew did an amazing job on all the shower and tile work. When he started, the shower was just roughed in and Garrett finished the walls, built the shelves, the shower pan and installed the finished tile. For the floor he installed the backer and the floor tile. When he was done everything was plumb and straight, it really made our tile choice look pristine and beautiful. We could not always be home when he was working and he did a lot of the work when we were not there. He works clean and never left a mess. Garrett Bauer did an excellent job in our kitchen remodel. He removed the old kitchen backsplash, prepared for the new backsplash, and installed a new and complex "artistic" and "designer" styled custom backspash with near zero grout lines. He installed large Italian porcelain tiles and glass ribbon inserts with special shims to ensure even depth. We were very impressed with his care in doing the detailed cutting and installation, his working with us to ensure the design was completely thought through so the final look was what we wanted, and his commitment to keeping things clean and minimizing dust. From what we could determine, his pricing was fair and sufficiently detailed to compare apples and apples. Because Garrett works by himself, he does all the work himself, so the quality control is "built in". He also has to fill in his schedule with work and to balance all of his projects; so sometimes you have to work around his own schedules. Garrett understood time lines and did his best to satisfy us. Although the project began on time and that helped to schedule the cabinet and appliance guys, the project completion ended about 10 days late. According to contractor friends, that's pretty good. I highly recommend checking with Garrett on your project. He will do a good job for you. read more

Garrett stepped into our project to clean up a bathroom and shower tile job gone wrong by another contractor. We couldn't be happier with the end result. Garrett gave us a fair bid to tear out a shower that we just had installed by another contractor and started from scratch. He showed up on time, worked hard all day, kept us in the loop to be sure the design was to our satisfaction throughout the project and cleaned up everyday before he left. In the end what we got was a job done by an absolute craftsman. Our project was a Roman Shower with stone tile, sitting bench, tiled ceiling, arched doorway with no glass, tile backsplash behind the sink and a stone patterned floor. The kind of craftmanship that Garrett brought to this project is a rare find. The tiles all wrapped around all four walls in the shower and on the ceiling and everything fit into place like the walls were measured perfectly to fit each tile exactly. Our bathroom is absolutely gorgeous and I won't hesitate to highly recommend Garrett to anyone looking to do tile work. Just bring him your ideas and let him go to work for you. Is it possible to fall in love with floor tile? Can ripping out your home's floor be (nearly) painless, even fun? Yes, if you choose Bauer Tile. Garrett and his helpers tore out over 1000 sq feet of carpet and tile, leveled the floor, and installed marble tile (master bedroom) and wood-look tile great room/dining room, and bedroom. He had to work the tile into patterns set (not so well) by another contractor--and did so seamlessly. He showed up on time, and put in long hours to complete the job on time despite surprises related to matching previous work. He was extra careful of walls, woodwork, etc., and cleaned up as he went--I had been worried about dust but none ever appeared. Amazing! He checked with me frequently to be sure I was satisfied with the installation. I am so happy with the entire process: quick, painless, no mess at all, an stunning floors.
