I am so glad that I did! In addition to the fact that they were professional, friendly, and easy to work with, the sandwiches and potato salad were absolutely divine. (I grew up eating my mother's potato salad, and I always thought it was fantastic, but Rennie's was out-of-this-world good. Sorry, Mom.) Even though I live in Indianapolis, I will contact Just Rennie's for all future business lunches/dinners that I need to have catered in Evansville and southwestern Indiana. By the way, the chocolate chunk cookies were marvelous -- make sure you try them.

I've had their catered food on a couple of occasions and everything....I mean EVERYTHING I've tried from them has been fresh, flavorful, and fantastic! Their cookies are locally famous and to die for. You can even order them online to ship directly to you! They are not exactly cheap, but trust me - you will not care when you try them. Best cookies ever - and this coming from a non-sweet tooth kind of girl. They also now have a lunch counter downtown which is amazing, although kind of pricey. Totally worth it though. I used to stop here to pick up lunch when I felt like treating myself. Potato salad is great, as is everything else. Yum yum yum! Try Rennie's and I promise you won't regret it. Seriously. At least GET THE COOKIES!

We tried this amazing restaurant last night after seeing it pop up here and there…read more It was Italian night so my daughter got the lasagna but I was torn between a few dishes. The waitress told me the beef for the burgers is from Dewig's so I was sold on the blue cheese burger then. Let me tell you, the bacon was crispy and the burger was out of this world. My family also butchers our own beef and this was as good or better! I started to order the crisps to check those out when my daughter told me that they have house cut fries. Love those! Great meal and we were stuffed!!! BUT we were Informed that the dessert was made in house so we got the chocolate ganache cake to go. Had it at home. So glad we split it, the slice was HUGE.

The decor was eclectic and reminiscent of a trip to a hip Grandma's kitchen. The plates are all mix matched older patterns and lend a fun vibe to the interior. The room is a big open space but with lots of cozy spots. They have a room for a separate party and the servers were on point despite it being a busy morning. The food was perfect comfort food with amazing fried chicken on a smothered biscuit. Yum! My friend's French toast was very cinnamony which she loved. We will keep this in mind for future trips and even signed up for their newsletters and updates. It is worth a trip!

We had our son's wedding and reception there. They were so accommodating for the entire event from decorating to the DJ ( which can make or break a wedding I might add) down to the clean up. The day could not have been more special for both families. I will strongly recommend Kokies to anyone whose planning a wedding that wants to have a memorable experience.

Mike, the…read moreowner and main coordinator, was easy to work with, even though we were planning long distance. The venue (Kokie's Echo Valley) is large so there's plenty of room for even a large group to spread out - our wedding was around 230. In fact, one guest pointed out that it felt like several venues in one, between the separate bar with a TV, the sitting area, the dance floors, and the cocktail table area. There were lots of kids at our wedding who liked being able to go around to different areas. There was also plenty of room for our photo booth. We had a band who set up their own equipment and that worked great for us. Plenty of room for a dance floor. The food was amazing - we had fried chicken and BBQ. Loved it. Since we had a lot of out of town guests we hired a bus to take them to the reception and back. Worked out great. A huge pro, which was also partially luck, was that we were able to start setting up decorations, table numbers, etc. the Thursday before our wedding. We wouldn't have been able to do that if there had been an event Friday, but some places won't let you in until the day of your event anyway. It's really nice to be able to get a head start so the day itself isn't so hectic. Pros: Food TV (hey, it's March Madness) Staff Plenty of room Cheaper than many similar places Good prices on the bar/alcohol (we had open bar) Beautiful outdoor area for pictures Mike lets you bring in prepackaged outside snacks for cocktail hour and desserts The lights strung across the ceiling really add a lot, decor-wise. Accessible for wheelchairs Early set up if available No pressure to spend money on their stuff. It's available if you need it, but Mike is generally fine with you bringing in a lot of your own stuff, with the obvious exception of food. Cons: Out of the way, although not hard to find, and still only 15 min from downtown Large building with lots of open space, which is a pro - but if you're planning on doing lots of decorating you'll need a lot of stuff to fill up the space. We are extremely happy with our experience!

The menu tonight was predetermined with great options. Service was a little slow tonight, but that is to be expected when the entire restaurant is at capacity with reservations. My husband and I loved the appetizers. It was a sample of shrimp cocktail, spinach dip with pita bread, and sriracha honey bacon brussel sprouts. I ordered the garden salad for my next course while my husband chose the broccoli mushroom chowder. We each enjoyed our choice. For the main course I had the marinated grilled chicken with creamy spinach and artichoke, and my husband had the 16 ounce bone in ribeye. Both main dishes came with a twice baked potato and roasted vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, green beans, bell pepper). My chicken was slightly overcooked, but it wasn't too noticeable with the creamy topping. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection. We both enjoyed the sides. We got dessert to go as we were so full by that point. I chose the carrot cake and he got the cheesecake. Our son was very happy we decided to bring the desserts home so he could also try them. Both were delicious, but the carrot cake was the standout. We look forward to returning to have their regular menu.

I had the fried catfish with coleslaw & mac n cheese. The mac n cheese looked & tasted like Kraft Mac n cheese so I did not think it tasted good. The roll with the strawberry butter was good.
