They did a good job on the alignment,(fixed the steering problem) showed me some other problems I wasn't aware of and reflashed my steering electronics for $100.00 + tax which is fair. My only regret is that I didn't find them earlier, I have been driving lexus for a long time and would never trust the dealer to touch my cars. My other mechanic who I have been going too for 10+ years is also good, but he doesn't necessarily specialize in lexus, he works on all makes and models. Will do business with them again forsure

However, I was disappointed with how the damage to my vehicle was handled. While Basil did make an effort to reshape the plastic and restore it to roughly 90% of its original appearance, I wish there had been more accountability regarding how the damage occurred. More importantly, I would have appreciated some form of compensation or gesture toward the cost of the service, especially since the damage occurred while my vehicle was in the shop. I understand that mistakes can happen, but when you're paying to have someone work on a vehicle you value, I believe the shop should take responsibility when something happens during the service. A simple acknowledgement and meaningful effort to compensate the customer would have gone a long way toward maintaining my confidence in the business. The mechanical service itself was completed as promised and within the estimated timeframe, but the lifting-point issue unfortunately affected my overall impression and would make me more cautious about returning in the future. I hope T-Lex takes this as constructive feedback and puts more emphasis on proper hoist placement and accountability when a customer's vehicle is damaged while in their care. A few additional things I noticed: T-Lex specializes in Lexus, Toyota, Honda, and Acura, although they do service other makes as well. They also offer tire storage for approximately 8 months, and I would recommend confirming the exact storage terms and asking how the tires are stored. Their OEM pricing can also vary, as they explained that supplier pricing and tariffs can affect costs from day to day. Price is considerably.

Facility: Standard of any mechanic's shop. The waiting area is small with plenty of reading…read morematerial but it doesn't matter much because the area for car work is what is important to me. I can see that the shop's priority are the cars that they work on. The work area is spacious fitting three cars on lifts at a time. There is plenty of parking space in the front, rear and side. Tucked on Hood Rd just off Denison, it is a convenient location and one of the best kept autobody secrets. Quality & Price: Compared to many autobodies, I would say that the value and work quality I found from Canson Auto is unmatched. There are many other companies that do flashy advertising but their work falls short of expectation. In my experience, Canson Auto approaches their business in a quiet and more dignified manner having their work speak for itself and their patrons recommending their business through word of mouth. Service: Workers are always friendly and diligent. I noticed that they don't have air conditioning for the summer nor heating for the winter, but the staff are always on task with turn-around time better than other locations I've been to. The owners Ken and Andy are often found elbow deep in the cars just like their staff. Humble, friendly and good hearted people with families is why I come to this shop. I know the work is from the heart... not from corporate. Canson Auto has around for about 20 years and there is a reason why the business has been so successful. I will never go elsewhere to get my car fixed!

He fixed my A/C problem quickly and effectively with I believe an unbeatable price in GTA. He also mentioned that his garage does oil change for only $30, etc. I think I will definitely come back for more services and will recommend his services to any of my friends.

Had the front/rear rotors & pads done on my 2009 Odyssey back in July 2022 for approx $700. Ivan…read moresaid he used Akebono coated parts which are suppose to be a premium product that I've used in my other vehicle with excellent results. The following spring, with only 10k km on these rotors/pads, I started to notice brake performance decline with it not really biting and needing to apply a lot more pedal pressure to stop properly. Brought it back for Ivan to inspect. He said rotors had a lot of rust, however, they were all suppose to be coated which greatly increases the time for rust to form. So, for rust form so quickly and so severe to affect performance in just 8 months and with only 10K Km since install....that just doesn't add up and Ivan wasn't able or willing to offer anything (possible defective warranty etc) other than to resurface them for an extra $100-200. That really didn't make any difference. So, I ended up going back to my regular guru who replaced all the pads with Power Stop shortly after. Fixed it and it was 100% better. Not sure if the issue was with the parts, the installer or a bit of both. Things just didn't make much sense to me and Ivan wasn't really taking any initiative or making any effort help me other than charging extra to hopefully remedy my issues. Lesson learned...Will keep to my guru from now on.

Visited this mechanic for the second time for the same issue (horn not always working)…read more First, I take back my assessment that Jimmy is "mechanic's mechanic". He was friendly with me on my first visit, but was rather cold on the second. When I said that I want to disconnect a theft-protection sensor under the hood (a common practice for Mazdas of this generation), he explained to me that it is not easy to do and told me to go home and do it in my spare time. - Well, why would I drive there in the first place if I wanted to do the dirty jobs myself? I said I also want to check the transmission mount, but he interjected that the next customer was already waiting for him. He didn't follow up if I wanted to schedule another appointment. Second, the wait times and punctuality. Both times I visited him I arrived on time. Both times I had to wait while he was busy with something else or taking calls. And that's another thing: he doesn't have a secretary, so he has to take calls which sometimes last 15 minutes. On my second visit the job (replacing the horn) took him about 15 minutes. Another 55 minutes were spent with me waiting while he was in his "office". Third, the sneaky pricing. On my first visit he told me the labor would be 70 CAD, on the second visit it was suddenly 75 CAD. And that's in addition to the 60 CAD diagnostic charge for this trivial problem after my first visit. All in all, I paid 152 CAD for labor alone for replacing a faulty car horn. Not too bad, actually, in Toronto prices. But, unfortunately, I will not be coming back with the rest of the issues my car has accumulated over the years.
