Had the front/rear rotors & pads done on my 2009 Odyssey back in July 2022 for approx $700. Ivan said he used Akebono coated parts which are suppose to be a premium product that I've used in my other vehicle with excellent results. The following spring, with only 10k km on these rotors/pads, I started to notice brake performance decline with it not really biting and needing to apply a lot more pedal pressure to stop properly. Brought it back for Ivan to inspect. He said rotors had a lot of rust, however, they were all suppose to be coated which greatly increases the time for rust to form. So, for rust form so quickly and so severe to affect performance in just 8 months and with only 10K Km since install....that just doesn't add up and Ivan wasn't able or willing to offer anything (possible defective warranty etc) other than to resurface them for an extra $100-200. That really didn't make any difference. So, I ended up going back to my regular guru who replaced all the pads with Power Stop shortly after. Fixed it and it was 100% better. Not sure if the issue was with the parts, the installer or a bit of both. Things just didn't make much sense to me and Ivan wasn't really taking any initiative or making any effort help me other than charging extra to hopefully remedy my issues. Lesson learned...Will keep to my guru from now on. read more

I needed brake replacements, as well as switching out my winter tires. I spoke to Ivan a few times, both on the phone and via email, and he is very responsive. I parked my car parallel to the service bay door, and met Ivan inside. I also had a written list, which we discussed. I noticed how friendly the employees were, and how well they worked with each other. The appointment times seem to be very well organized, and my car was in the bay within 10 minutes. After inspecting my car, Ivan explained I also needed a brake flush, and the total time would take approximately one hour. When the work was completed, an employee took my car for a test drive. ARE YOU F****** KIDDING ME was the thought that kept going through my head as I experienced 3 trips here on my first day. Trip 1, $30 cash for Standard Oil/filter Change (they offer $80 for Synthetic, last longer etc...i got old crappy 15 years old Toyota, no need) + Engine light came on need a look, I haven't had an oil change done since 6 months ago. I figured it could be that's what causing the engine light to go on. Turns out to be electrical, either change spark plugs or change spark plugs and ignition coil. Suggest that I have spark plugs changed first, see if engine light comes on again since ignition coil rarely if ever is faulty over vehicle lifetime. OK. Saves me some money. The kicker? The whole thing took only 12 minutes. Oil change plus diagnosis. ARE YOU F****** KIDDING ME?!?!?! My GF who went to Agincourt Nissan for her oil changes average 2 hours wait per trip there. Trip 2, $30 cash for Standard Oil/filter Change for a year old Nissan after I told my GF and she did not want to take a whole day off work just to get an oil change done at Agincourt Nissan. The kicker? This oil change took 5 minutes. ARE YOU F****** KIDDING ME?!?!?! That's faster than a haircut...brush your teeth and wash your face and filter/oil changed for your car. Trip 3, $140 cash for replacing all sparkplugs (mind this is a 15-year-old Toyota, so other models/years may be more expensive). Originally 2-3 people came after me as walk-ins to get an oil change and they said they are kind of busy...call Ivan to make an appointment. I did speak with Ivan during Trip 2, which he said no problem, just bring in the car they will try to get it all done I may just have to wait for a little. I didn't wait for more than a few minutes for them to finish with the guy's nice Honda before me. Everything was changed in less than 15 minutes. I asked about this loud noise that's started happening recently with the car, like metals banging together. Ivan said they will take a look. He and his mechanics raised the car afterward and showed me this giant piece of metal cover under the vehicle that's above the exhaust pipe that goes to the front of the car, and another piece connected to it. Both were rusted and lose. He offered 2 solutions, 1 is to get it replaced which may run at least $400, or 2, they help me just remove the metal plate. Not only did they cut and remove the dangling metal plating, but they also drilled at least 2 screws to tighten and stabilize the other lose one closer to the front of the vehicle that also was touching the exhaust pipeline and making noise when I drive. DID NOT charge me extra. Result? Car runs years younger. Feels amazing. Last time I went to a dealership with a bearing and transmission issue, i was out of $3,000, 2 weeks, 2 trips, and was lied to, got a Used transmission instead of New even when I was told I was going to get all New parts and New transmission because I refused the lower price for Used parts. Apparently, they couldn't find a New part and never bothered asking me if that's okay, and if they revert to the lower quote for the Used parts option. Here at this repair shop, you are given all the info you need, and freedom to make your choice and options. Their service is efficient and impeccable. You literally get to sit next to where your car gets worked on and see everything in person (see photos). I will recommend anyone I know to come to this place for easy drive by oil changes and make appointments for any car issues! Only down-side is they open only Mondays through Fridays during standard work hours. Generally, people work standard work hours. Hopefully, they would consider Wed-Sun schedule at some point. read more

Holy cow!! We've been here only 15 minutes and already I want to give them a 5 star! Excellent local garage for repair and maintenance! iGarage is located inside an industrial looking grey building on Bullock. Initially, this may seem odd but as turn on to building, you will see a whole host of small auto shops. Parking is tricky as it shared with all the others but usually you can stop just outside and talk to staff. Ivan is a great owner where service is always fast and friendly - he gives you a honest opinion on maintenance and repairs. The place does a steady stream of oil changes, tire rotation and etc. Prices are good and service excellent. iGarage has become my go to spot for maintenance - the only downside is that they have become so popular it is tough to do a drop in but that is a sign of their success! Specifically, I had to get my brakes replaced (front then rear) and Ivan gave me an affordable deal which remained consistent both times. The service provided is friendly and efficient and depending on how busy iGarage is they may be able to fix it the same day you call for a free estimate. Also, if Ivan notices any abnormalities which needed some attention he would inform me of them (i.e. my worn out winter tires). Great car repair shop. They are very honest, unlike other shops, they pointed out the rattling noise on my car was due to a rusted muffler heat shield that fallen on my muffler and I would not have problem just by removing it. They didn't charge me for helping me remove it, other dishonest shops might take advantage of it and would have charged some bucks. My dealer on the other hand was saying I need to pay $700+ to replace it and putting it as it's a serious problem. Usually I go to my dealer for oil change and maintenance, after this, from now I will go to iGarage and at least you can see the actual part that needed fixing. This is my new go-to car repair shop. I've read soooo many reviews on Yelp on car shops and they always fall short of the real service I get. After seeing so many 5 star reviews and my car in very, very, very bad shape - I decided to give Igarage a shot. I called Ivan the day beforehand (Monday) for an appointment on Tuesday at 3PM. I asked him how much would it be to give my car a visual check and he told me freeee!! (hehe) I came by at 3PM and he gave my car a visual check and then an estimate of how much a serpentine belt would be + oil change (came out to $150 in total). He told me approximately an hour and I came back 45 minute later and my baby was done! I didn't know it was cash only so I had to go to the bank. I offered to leave my wallet + my boyfriend and his friend as hostages, while I went to Main St. to grab some cash from Scotia. He told me it was fine and that I didn't have to leave anything. My boyfriend, being the curious teapot that he is, asked what the clicking noises was in my car - I have no idea what was being said and honestly I wasn't trying to find out ): turns out it's something that'll take $200 to repair but it's not necessary for my car to be healthy and running (thanks for not scamming me Ivan, because I probably would've gotten it done right there and then). Why wait at the stealerships for 2 hrs and get charged $60-80 for an oil change and they try to upsell you other services when Ivan can get you back on the road in an instant at a portion of the stealership price. Plus you get to see your car get worked on. I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years now. And Ivan has not disappointed at all. Cliche, but I literally created this account to let people know how good Igarage and Ivan are. Went there this morning during the busy winter-tire change to get my headlights checked out. Ivan was friendly, and after waiting a 20 minutes (he was working on someone else's car, I didn't expect him to drop everything and service me immediately), he walked over, popped the hood, examined the headlights, and told me what the problem was. He apologized for not having the proper part, (I had an after market kit, so not his fault) and told me exactly where to go to get it. Brought my 2005 Porsche Cayenne to do break pads and drums. Bought all original parts costing me over $2000 from Porsche. Brought here so they can put it in for me cuz of course labour here is cheaper than the dealer. Me being a girl, left my car there while they did the change. Never trust them. In May 2017, my wife's car needed changing engine oil. I searched the Internet. Because they looked to have a top rating, I contacted them. I bought the discounted (but good brand) engine oil(Pennzoil) and filter(Bosch) from CT and Amazon and my wife gave to them to change. Their charged was reasonable and I didn't check at that time. In Jan 2018, my wife's car reaches another 8K km. This time I have time and try to follow the youtube videos to change engine oil/filter myself. What I found is the oil filter is still the OLD OEM (Nissan) filter. It's NOT the Bosch filter I bought. A filter doesn't cost much. But it'll KILL the engine. I'm not sure whether they did this purposefully for money or missed it by mistake. Neither one makes me trust them again!!! and I don't know how they could get their high rating! I would highly recommend you to double check yours if you still plan to go with them. read more

I called ahead as suggested by a reviewer and the shop was able to take me in immediately at 9:30am. It is a no-frills place, nobody introduced themselves when I walked in but I was greeted with a smile and I felt totally comfortable. It is a very small but tidy shop and it appears to be run very efficiently, I was in and out very quickly. They removed my rattling heat shield for no charge and, problem solved, I was on my way feeling great that I (being a female) didn't get taken advantage of. An honest mechanic can be hard to find and luckily I found Ivan from igarage through a forum for Mazda owners. I drove from central Toronto to get my car serviced at his shop. It was a small job -- getting some winter tires mounted on rims -- but he was quick and thorough plus the price was more than fair. The only drawback is the lack of a separate waiting area.
