Some of the lights no longer work in the basement even though they worked before Steven installed the new fixtures. My kitchen lights worked until Steven installed the new lights. I paid $110 per light fixture and most do not work even the none replaced ones. I am handicapped , I cannot make any repairs and feel taken advantage of! I have called the office , spoke to Kat, many times but AJ has never called me back or made it right. Since I had such a great experience with them painting my exterior, I contacted them to do the painting after the repair work had been completed. I thought I'd have to hire specialists for each of these issues but Chaz assured me they could "do it all". And they did!! The team works together like a well-oiled machine - doing the repairs and painting with minimal delays. The biggest issue was matching existing paint color with the new areas. 1st to review? Really?? They have been in business for years and years! I ask my retired uncle…read morewho built homes who he used as a roofer and he told me he used Cogent for years and was always happy. I called them up and got on their list. Yes, they have a long waiting list, but it's worth the wait. They finally came out this week and as with everything else in my life, the roof was worse than anticipated. I assumed as much because that's the way things work with me. They ended up having to take off all the sheeting, vents, the works! The roof was put together with 3/8" ply from 40+ years ago. They replaced all that out with much thicker stuff; I think it was 1/2" or even 5/8"; not sure. The eves don't sag any more and I can't count the rafters from standing outside anymore as the roof is flat now. It only took them about 1/2 day longer than anticipated too. These are some hard working men!!! I would have died on the first day up on that roof but they just kept going. This is one of these rare times in life when you hire someone to do something and they do better than you think. That is pretty rare now days. If you need a roof, give Cogent a call.

I am still waiting for the mythical call back within 24 hours, from the maids, that was 6 days ago and my house is already spotless by Scrubby Corp. Scrubby Corp came out the same day I called, actually less than an hour later to look at my house and give an estimate. Fae was not daunted by the monumental task of cleaning up a house that had a year's worth of dirt and cobwebs everywhere due to a failed back surgery. Fae provided a reasonable price, in writing, and scheduled it for 4 days later. I was plesantly surprised, scrubby corp did everything!!!! From the ceilings, down the walls and deep cleaning the floors of every room; scrubby corp practically erased evidence of my German Shepherd's year worth dogginess. I was amazed, I am amazed. They even took a few minutes and played with the dawg while they were here, wow. Whether you need someone to come in and take your home and clean it from top to bottom one time, like me. Alivea, the general manager, is really approachable and she stays really on top of things organizationally. The cleaning quality of their staff is thorough and well done. I regularly receive feedback from guests that our place is "sparkling" clean, which is a testament to this company's high standard. They have a lot to do in our home and they manage to get quite a lot done in a short period of time. I also use So Clean's handyman services, which have been excellent---everything from hanging mirrors on our walls, repairing a broken board or two on our dock and staircase, to assembling a bench and dresser when I couldn't find time to do so! I love that they provide a one stop shop for homeowners...They have a high level of personalized service and are willing to go above and beyond basic expectations: accommodating requests that few companies do these days. For example, they have gone out with short notice to buy a spare propane tank for our BBQ and a bottle of wine to greet our upcoming guests. I don't expect perfection. On rare occasions, we've had a little mishap or snafoo (related to scheduling or very specific things we wanted done in our home presentation for rental), but the company has been really receptive to feedback and addressed any issues that arose straight away. I'm not worried about those issues arising again. As with all things in life, occasionally things don't go perfectly, but those companies who are receptive to constructive feedback and are willing to improve are the ones I will most likely return to for business. I found it helpful supplying this company with a typed-out checklist of specific cleaning requests, since some of my expectations for our rental unit are more detailed than might be asked of a typical house cleaner. This company also provides a basic checklist to their cleaners for all homes, which is pretty thorough. As the name suggests, they use naturally based cleaning agents, to keep their customers and staff healthy. I think they do a fantastic job! Way to go So Clean and Green! Their parent company, the Richard Beckman Realty Group, has been fabulous as a vacation property maintenance company as well. No complaints here, only praise!
