He did say they could be a little slow and it may take 3-4 months, so he set my expectations. Fast forward to 22 June, I was about a month out from leaving for Scotland, so I called to get an update because my order didn't show up in my account, I assume because I ordered over the telephone. I spoke with a nice lady that said she would leave a message with her manager to call me, never received a call back. I called on 7/2 and 7/6 and left voicemails, no call back. Called on 7/11 and spoke with the gentleman that took my original order who said he would have to get with the owner since the owner was the only one that deals with Lochcarron orders. By 15 July I hadn't heard anything back, so I submitted a message through their website. Later in the day the owner replied back apologizing for the slow response and said he had contacted Lochcarron for an update. Later that evening he replied again and informed me they had said it would be finished and still in Scotland on the 11th of August to which he offered to have it shipped to a location in Scotland. He also offered a free rental. By the 11th we would have already been returned home so shipping in Scotland wouldn't have helped. By this time, I had already ordered a replacement kilt from another company that guaranteed it would be delivered prior to our departure, so I declined the free rental. When I received my replacement from the other company I realized I had lost 6 inches off my waist and needed it taken in. I emailed the owner on 27 July and asked if it was too late to have the waist made smaller since it was still 2 weeks before it was scheduled to be completed. I never received a response. I received my kilt today, it is beautiful for sure, but I'll have to take it to the seamstress I found and have it taken in. I have no doubt that normal orders are handled just fine but if you are ordering anything special or out of the ordinary leave plenty of time and don't expect much if any communication. That is my only complaint, poor communication after the sale.

We absolutely love strolling through River Place Shops. This whole area is bursting with charm,…read morecozy vibes, and festive energy. It's one of those places where every corner feels like a photo op...beautiful lights, themed buildings, and a really fun atmosphere. There are so many incredible, quaint shops to explore, and a bunch of them offer free samples, which makes wandering around even more fun. We've still got plenty to come back for too, like the Ultimate Mirror Maze and the Blacksmith Experience. Some of our favourite stores we visited this trip were Sticky Situations, Enchanted Forest, Zac & Mac's Chocolate Haus, and Cherry Republic, all packed with personality and great finds. I think you're better off picking up a serious designer bag finding a lower priced nice bag at Coach, Kate Spade or Michael Kors on sale the outlets in Birch Run.. sorry, those bags at White House do not impress me one bit.. As far as customer service goes, it's hit or miss..we were greeted this time when we walked in browsing, but the employee didn't even look up.. no one else was helpful and the lady behind the Pandora seemed pretty distracted.. we left without picking up anything this time.. I have purchased Pandora here before m, but this time was a bit of a letdown.. I'm sure we'll be back when we come back to Frankenmuth.

This is the place to visit in Frankenmuth if you're looking for an unusual gift or something to take home to remember your trip to this Bavarian town. Rau's has pretty much every souvenir with every name on shot glasses, pocket knives, keychains and the like. If you have a typical name, you will find a magnet with your name at Rau's. This shop also has a lot of old-fashioned candy, which you can scoop out and put into bags. You'll also find some local artwork for sale here, as well as lots of local Michigan products.

But since I have been shopping around, I did notice that Ross, TJ Maxx, and some other bargain stores all had the exact same inventory. Selections are not that many yet compared to other states Ross stores. Staff are friendly. Fitting room is open and clean. Store Front Parking - Free in a plaza. I found some great deals though. Glad that Ross is open up here in Michigan. Hope they open up more stores near to where I live - Canton, MI
