I was debating if I should leave a review from Monday night when I came!…read moreI came in an ambulance because I literally thought I was having a stroke! I had a heard time breathing and was throwing up water because I couldn't eat all day, I felt so sick! I had a high fever and pain in my chest and head. Ambulance ride there was hell all they had to do was make a right and take me straight to John Muir ER but took me all over downtown couldn't even get my temperature because "their equipment was not working properly" blood pressure cuff from both the ER and ambulance just stayed squishing the my arm felt like it was cutting circulation off! The nurse with long brown hair looked Hispanic or middle eastern I don't know argued with me because she asked me if I wanted dollotted pain medication. I told her no they gave it to me already she argued nobody gave it to you. I said yes the man who put my IV in did. She said no. Not once swabbed for Covid someone else had to ask them to do it! Told them I had a hard time breathing. Nothing- put an IV in hella rough then the same nurse towards the end put the blood pressure cuff from one arm to almost cover my IV with it which I ended up ripping off because it was digging my IV in more. I was in so much pain I ended up passing out from the pain medication which I hate taking I never take but that night I couldn't stand it! When I fell asleep and woke up hours later the same nurse I asked if I could have soon medicine told me I offered you dolotted you said NO I told her because SOMEONE ALREADY gave it to me! Then she finally decided to look at the chart and was like oh they did! Damn nightmare! This is why I hate the ER too many bad experiences- I had some good and bad at concord which my dr told me to go in an ambulance from my drs appointment which I replied no because of the last experience and told her I would go tonight if it got worse (12/12/25) which I doubt I want to go after this last time. There were like two ladies that were nice and the last nurse but I don't know what was wrong with that lady arguing about pain medication are you trying to overdose people? I saw the notes they put and I'm like I had way more symptoms than that They told me I had rhino virus at first then the next day turned into the flu- definitely do not like the ER and passed on going today because of the horrible experience Monday I had pain in my whole right side head, could barely walk because I had shooting pains in my leg the guy in the ambulance said we witnessed her move her limbs and walk like nobody said I couldn't walk I said I had a hard time pretty sure my neighbors heard me screaming EVERYTIME I had to get up to use the bathroom from the pain I was in I see why all the other bad reviews

We recently just had our baby delivered at John Muir. The nurses at John Muir were all incredibly…read morekind, supportive, and informative throughout the entire delivery process. While in the ER once the baby arrived, several nurses even offered to take pictures with my phone so I could capture more cherished memories of that magical day. While in recovery awaiting transition to the Mother Baby unit, a nurse stayed behind the whole time after the whole ER team had moved. Ensuring we were monitored and had support the entire way. And never felt alone for a single moment during the entire process. We really appreciated all of the nurses who aided us during our 4-night stay in the Mother Baby unit. Although it was a bit tough to get them to come back to the room sometimes during scheduled check-ups and medications, we recognize that had less to do with the nurses themselves and more than likely a scheduling issue of too many rooms assigned to too few nurses. We did have a slight hiccup during discharge however when we were incorrectly informed that our pediatrician at Sutter would have access to all of our baby's medical files through their MyChart system. This turned out to be false as Sutter stated that they do not have access to that shared system. Thankfully however, my wife had stubbornly insisted on being able to get access to a pdf version of all of the files through her MyChart app before leaving the hospital.

I'm grateful Passport Health exists and that we were able to get typhoid vaccines for our family…read morebefore an upcoming international trip. The staff member we worked with was friendly, but didn't seem all that used to dealing with a nervous 4-year-old. Unfortunately, the experience was quite frustrating because of unexpected consultation charges and a long discussion we didn't ask for. Before the visit, I had already researched the typhoid vaccine and travel health considerations for where we're going. I expected a quick appointment to get the vaccines and leave. Instead, we sat through a lengthy consultation covering information we didn't need, despite multiple attempts to cut it short and move onto the vaccines. We were later charged $369 in "office visit / consultation" fees for the three of us, which was not clearly explained before the appointment began. The nurse herself was pleasant and well-meaning, but the process felt unnecessarily drawn out and somewhat like a pitch for additional vaccines. If the consultation fee had been clearly disclosed upfront, or if patients could opt out when they already know what they need, this would have been a much better experience. I'm not sure that's possible, but I hope Passport Health takes a look at the number of low-star reviews here and makes some change to how the operate.

Also charged him $150 for a MMR which he can get for free. The "consulting" fee of $135 basically told him what you can find on the CDC website. This place is a rip off. They didn't even give him any supplies for a $700 bill.

I Got screwed again. Big big surprise. Once again it was…read moretime for refills on my two blood pressure meds so I don't die. Not narcotics, not anything fun, not anything sellable on the street... just regular-ass blood pressure meds to keep my heart working. I called it in five days in advance of running out. 5 days. When calling it in I was given no push back or any notion that my meds would not be filled. Not a single hint. So after the five days when I'd run out of such meds I went to the pharmacy to pick up my refill. And turns out only one of the refills was sent. They had to give me loaner pills so I don't drop dead. What the hell is even going on with this office? Ever since they became Muir medical group I can't get my medicine refilled ever without some kind of giant hiccup! These aren't narcotics. These are blood pressure pills so I don't croak! This is so insane. The doctors here are very good. I love my doctor! But this office is so screwed up and unorganized, unethical, and doesn't care someone could just die without their meds.... I'm looking for a new dr now after several incidents regarding refilling my blood pressure meds. Enough is enough. Again these doctors rule! But the office has ruined their practice and made it completely terrible. I have family members that go here that have had the same bad experience with trying to get their meds. I have had multiple situations where I need blood pressure meds and they've been so nonchalant and just "they will get refilled when they get refilled" with zero worry about my physical safety. I'm done. Everyone in this office should be examined for termination. This place is a cesspool for garbage and unethical employees. Everything is about dollars and healthcare means nothing at all. If you work here You should all really reflect on the type of person you are and really analyze what you're okay with. Are you okay with a normal guy dying from cardiac arrest over a mistake you made involving med refills? You are all just cool with a dude dying of a heart attack. This office is the worst thing of the worst. I urge you not to go here. Again, the doctors here rule!!!! But the office is run by nimrods.

Alsheimers Disease Treatment at John Muir Medical:…read more I'm in the middle of trying to help my sister with Alsheimers. Disease. My sister's Primary Dr. is at John Muir Medical Center, yet my Sister is stilling being prescribed medication that was in use 10-20 years ago and not even the Recommended dose! If that doesn't work the Dr. said she might try the new medicines available! My sister will only be in the window of treatable help for a limited time... I surely do not understand why my Sister's Dr. hasn't explained to my Sister and her Husband that my sister might respond if she was referred to a more studied and progressive Neurologist while she is still in a treatable stage!?! Sincerely, sister Linda
