This was the first time we rented a debris container and I'm glad to say it was a great experience! We were removing a deck and needed a convenient way to get rid of all the wood without having to go to the dump ourselves. I called several places to get a quote on a 10 yard box (approximately 7ft wide X 15ft long X 3ft high). Dan had a reasonable rate, better weight capacity and friendly service. He asked me a few questions and gave me an all inclusive rate, no surprises. His associate Chris who dropped off the container was also friendly and careful about placing the box to one side of our driveway so that we could still park a car next to it. We arranged everything over the phone and I didn't need to sign anything so it was contactless. Used these guys for a massive house clean-out project. Everything went smoothly. Nice people. It was easy to schedule, they delivered on time, picked up on time, and the charge was reasonable. Because they ran out of the size I ordered they dropped off a bigger one (their largest) and would only charge me extra if it was filled beyond the comparable level of the smaller one. Seemed fair. When we arrived and I saw the size of it, my first thought was that we would never in a million years fill it. Well we did. Lucky we got the larger one. read more

I was tasked with a home clean-out to help a friend. After calling a junk hauler out 2 times and hardly seeing a dent in the clean out I know we needed to think bigger. I called Bay Area Debris Box - they delivered a box on the driveway the next day and we filled it over the weekend. The junk hauler loads everything for you so not a fair comparison- but if you don't mind loading your junk yourself this was a huge money saver for us to use a debris box. I hired these guys to collect dirt debris, but the contractors I hired filled the box 2 feet too high instead of doing it the proper way and leveling it out. My contractors ultimately refused to remove the debris, and started giving attitude (I hired the wrong contractors for the job). The guys over at Bay Area Debris Box ended up having to do the work and removed the excess debris. They were very accommodating and apologetic even though it wasn't their job to remove the excess dirt. Bay Area Debris Box is a good quality reliable company, and I highly recommend them. read more

I did pretty much the whole thing through email, I think we had one phone call because they were trying to identify the best place to put the box (tiny street in San Francisco), and a few texts. Dan is the man! I have ordered at least four debris boxes for concrete, household debris, dirt, bricks, wood and other general messes. Dan's quotes are accurate (no surprise fees or added expenses) and his turnaround time is great. He and his team have also wedged boxes onto my narrow driveway with ease, and navigated my narrow street well. When the box is ready to go Dan has picked it up within 24 hours; generally the next morning. I really appreciate getting the box when I need it, and having it picked up when I'm done. read more

No stars didn't work. They grossly overcharged (almost twice as much as a previous service that had a larger load). Don't believe those other two reviews about price- I filled the bin halfway and they still almost tripled the quote after they picked up the bin. Strange customer service- they seemed paranoid about a load of dirt, basically suggesting I strip all dirt off and just load weeds. I should have used Waste Management again, ugh. read more

Love, love, love Dan and his crew. Customer service seems to be fading these days, fortunately not when it comes to this company. After contacting EBMUD for a debris box and going into sticker shock, I did some searching around and found these folks. They were half the price and were able to get a box to us within a few days. Even though I messed up the date which caused a hiccup, Dan went the extra mile, rearranged his schedule and delivered the dumpster on the day it was needed. Awesome! One never realizes how much stuff we have and we found we needed a second box fairly quickly. Without any hesitation new box arrived and will be picked up when it's convenient at our end. Awesome!!! Dan is responsive and communicative which wasn't the case when checking other companies. Highly, highly recommend these guys. And oh how wonderful to be motivated to get rid of stuff. Yay. One word of warning when you have a debris box in front of your house. Cover it if you can.
