An enormous multi-trunked acacia in the neighbour's yard has been grabbing all the light above my persimmon and orange trees, and tangling with an ancient walnut. After researching others I contacted BATP. Mario answered promptly and gave me an appointment for the next day. He came early and gave us a quote and we negotiated a deal. The job took about 5 hours with 5 men, and worth every penny of what was charged. I had a ginkgo tree trimmed, a large stump grinded down, and about 20 overgrown oleanders manicured to perfection. Truly impressed! I will use Bay Area Tree Pro for all of my tree needs for years to come. I'm writing this review a little late but better than never! Mario and his team came out during the 2022/2023 winter storms to cut up and take away a massive eucalyptus tree that fell on our hill due to the rains. It was like the cavalry came in and saved the day...or winter! They came out, gave an estimate (which I found reasonable for the job) and got to work. To my surprise, they were done in under an hour. I was in total disbelief. They were really mindful of my garden down below and found a solution that didn't involve trampling my grass with their equipment which I was super thankful about. We needed to have our large Sugar Gum tree taken down and contacted a few tree companies for estimates. Mario from Bay Area Tree Pro came the next day and we told him of our concern with this tree being so close to the PG&E utility box. We asked (if hired) if he would call the 811 PG&E line before starting the job and he quickly replied no problem. Our main concern was that we wanted the stump grinded and we didn't want any potential issues. While he was here, we also asked him to look at a side birch tree and he immediately confirmed our thoughts, this tree was unfortunatly dead. He gave us a fair quote on both trees and we told him we would let him know. Well, after receiving estimates from the other tree companies we decided to give the job to Mario. Communication with Mario was great! Once hired he texted that he would call 811 to make an appointment for marking and then let us know the date for the job after they were done. Mario kept us in the loop as to when PG&E said what days they would come and then gave us a day he and his crew (Bay Area Tree Pro) wanted to cut the trees. The day of tree removal Mario and his crew were prompt and quickly got to work. They began on our side birch tree and it was amazing to watch. They were careful of the immediate plants and fence while working around this tree. Branches were tied off before cutting and lowered down to the crew below. They all worked quickly and efficiently. I was really appreciative of Mario and his crew using their grinder around our new air conditioner unit (on left) and shed (on the right). I told Mario, that's okay, we don't need it grinded, but he gave me a smile and said they could get it through.
