Unfortunately, I didn't have a positive experience overall. TL;DR: I would recommend for small, simple assembly jobs, but I wouldn't trust him for larger or more complex furniture projects. More details: I hired Selim to install a Murphy bed. The first issue was that he didn't pay attention to the bed's dimensions ahead of time. As soon as he arrived, he increased the price and repeatedly commented that he would have brought another person if he had known the correct size (when the issue was simply a lack of attention beforehand). He wasn't able to complete the job properly. The bed wouldn't close, and he couldn't identify the problem, leaving me to troubleshoot it myself. I spent hours trying to fix it and eventually noticed missing screws and other signs of inappropriate installation. In the end, I still had to pay the full price and then hire someone else to redo the same job correctly (paying twice for the same service). I asked for a 50% refund, but he refunded less than 15%. I honestly felt bad because he seems like a genuinely nice person. However, I lost a significant amount of money, time, and dealt with a lot of unnecessary stress. This was a job I paid for specifically to make things easier, not harder. read more

Selim did a great job. The wall was paneled and not square with the floor, so he struggled to get things "plum" with the alignment. The TV had a stand on the base that was a challenge to get off but after looking things up he got the base off and the TV was hung. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was well mounted. I plan on having him back to hook up the entertainment center as well. His rate of $120.00 to mount the TV was very fair and acceptable. For all his extra efforts to get things right I thru in a nice tip. He was very prompt in his arrival and made sure the area was cleaned up and tidy. Rude, unprofessional, and I was offended by the attitude he displayed towards me... ps writing this because I didn't want this to happen to anyone. This person doesn't like to be ask if he can adjust the project that he just did because you don't like the way it looks like or how he put it together. He gets paid per hours with is no problem until the last minute. He will take his time and when it's close to the time u agreed on he will rush it. As a client I inspect the job that he just finish and when I ask him to fixed some part that I thought it was done sloppy he will got agitated and blame it on manufacturing saying he can't do nothing about it. And I was like that's why I hired u so you can fixed it as you assemble it.And note he is 2 hr extended from the time he told me that he will finish the project. He made me felt I was an inconvenience to him from leaving coz he wanted to leave as soon as he finished the job. I only ask him to fixed or to straighten the way he put the closet doors because it was not lining up correctly. And he have the audacity too tell me that he doesn't work for me . When I start showing frustration due to the reluctant to do what I hired him for. Then he escalated to saying I don't have to do this I don't work for you , when I mistakenly told him that I sent the payment just because I just wanted him to leave coz I felt like there's no point to remind him why he was fired for. So if you still end up hiring him make sure and be adamant about the time frame and make sure to take a look at his job that he just did: if happen that you find something that need to be addressed, be assured that it was acknowledged and corrected b4 giving him the payment. With me he didn't even finish the things I wanted him to re aline and just left coz he knows I already sent him the payment.
