That thing is heavy and awkward to maneuver, and Jake (along with his teammate) hauled the frame through our back area, assembled it, and anchored it securely to the wall. You could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. A few small things got dinged up along the way, on the wall and an outdoor stair, but the team's been proactive about making it right, which counts for a lot in my book. After putting in my request HH was very quick to respond with a cost estimate and openings. We were helped by Evelio, who arrived on time and was professional throughout the visit. Larry came by, took a good look at the issues, talked through what he observed, and was transparent about the next steps for repair. He listened to my concerns, considered some of my observations, communicated the work he was going to do, and then dove into fixing my door. We have employed Handyman Heroes for both their handyman services and plumbing services. Each time, it has been a very pleasant experience with accurate quotes, and I'm talking to within $10 of the quoted approved estimate amount, which is very impressive. Samuel helped us in Aug 2024 perform exterior stucco patching and painting. His work was excellent and he even textured the stucco patches to match the surrounding texture, which shows the detail of his craft. This year in Sep 2025 Ishmael helped us re-seal bathroom tub and shower tile grout, as well as kitchen countertop caulking to the tile backsplash. Ishmael did a great job - very straight lines, consistent grout and caulking, and he completely re-sealed everything in the bathroom and kitchen to prevent moisture from going into the walls. We also had bad water hammering issues in the home because our incoming city water pressure was 105 psi, we wanted to hydro-jet our home's rear drain ahead of the rainy season, and our American Water Heater / Takagi tankless water heater completely stopped working due to it having being installed 10 years ago without service flush ports and having never been de-scaled. Jake Hankins the Plumbing Service Manager came and installed a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) regulating our incoming water pressure to 70psi, hydro-jetted our rear drain to lateral sewer so that the home is prepared for the upcoming rain, and replaced our tankless water heater with a state of the art Navien 210A tankless system with a 15 year heat exchanger, 5 year parts, and 1 year labor warranty and service ports for annual flushing/de-scaling. The tankless heater was installed in a way that directly hooked up our existing radiant heating system, gas hookup, and exhaust flue, and the finished work was higher quality than the system and facilitation it replaced. All the work was done on time and in approved budget, and the quality of the work is very high. It was also less expensive than the last plumber who came to work on this home. Communication with the office personnel Kathy and Jimena were also very responsive and easy to coordinate both over the phone and through text messages. We are happy homeowners now thanks to Handyman Heroes' excellent work. We also signed up for the new Hero Partner Plan which includes d annual home inspection of plumbing, electrical, flushing of water heater, which we know now will prevent any future heater issues. The office team was extremely helpful and very communicative via phone, text, and email. They helped us schedule the work and kept us updated as to the crew's arrival. The crew we got to install the floors were Samuel and Saul. These guys were extremely skilled and professional. Super friendly as well. They did an excellent job installing our new floors. I did NOT use Handyman Heroes. I have a very simple job....remove one faucet and replace it with another faucet. All water intake lines and valves are in excellent condition. No repair or reconfiguration is needed. The company wants $85 just to look under my sink before scheduling a handyman (I would prefer a handy woman) to install my new faucet. When we had a major leak, they were able to respond on the same day to begin with a thorough moisture damage mitigation project. I've had a fantastic experience with Handyman Heroes and am now part of the Hero Partner Plan Membership. My first touch-point with HH was with Larry in November of '25. I had a leak in my living room. I wasn't sure if I needed a new window, sealant, or if the leak was actually coming from our roof. Larry determined a new window was not needed. Caulking on the exterior window would be sufficient. Evelio & Alexis came out and made the fix. No more water in my living room! While Evelio was there he noticed some debris in my gutters. I had been having a bunch of rain-related leaks in my garage for over the last year and just assumed I'd need to redo the siding at some point (~30k). Turns out I just needed to clean out my gutters. I am so thankful for Evelio going out of his way to be so observant during his visit and saving me literally 1000s of dollars. Thank you to Evelio & the entire HH team. I had a wall that was visibly damaged by condensation. Several painters came out to give quotes. Each one gave me a 4 hour arrival window that I blocked out of my work day, but in under 5 minutes they were out the door - only saying it was too small a project for them. I lost hours of productivity and weeks of resolve this way. Then came my Heros. First visit was Vinnie. The window for his arrival was from 10am-12pm and he was on site at 9:59am. Vinnie was a wealth of experience and knowledge. He gave me a thoughtful and comprehensive explanation of what he was seeing and quickly identified the culprit in the issue - a disconnected hvac exhaust duct in the furnace room on the other side of the wall. Vinnie also pointed out that a portion of the ceiling was impacted by the condensation and how that would be easily addressed at the same time as the wall. When Vinnie left I knew what was going on, I knew what I needed to have addressed and I knew that HH had my back. Second visit was Eric, the action man. I was given an arrival window of 8am-10am and he was on site a few minutes before 8am. Eric was professional and friendly, bringing a long career of experience and service. He showed great care and attention to detail, in both the project and respect of my home. I was fully informed of the tasks ahead of time and kept updated as needed while he worked. Eric finished up and was out the door within the expected window, and the completed work looks better than before the issue occurred. I can't recommend Handyman Heros enough, they should be the standard to which all other similar services are measured against. read more

I was able to easily schedule an appointment and they did not require much information to be provided beforehand (everything was to be discussed with the technician on the day of the service). Ismael hung up a painting, 2 art prints, a large wall mirror, and installed multiple toilet paper holders, towel holders, a shower rod, and anti-tip hardware for 2 bookshelves, all in ~3 hours' time! The only thing I don't love about owning a house is figuring out who to call to help fix things, and then chasing people around trying to get things done. Now, I feel like I can just "call the landlord" (Handyman Heroes) when we need help. I cannot describe how happy this makes me. My husband and I love to take care of our beautiful 1930's home and do a lot of it ourselves. But there's always stuff we don't want to do, aren't skilled at, or don't have time for. Our experience with handymen has always been so-so at best. Even the best-intentioned work odd hours between larger jobs, and they are hard to nail down (no pun intended). And we like things to be finished beautifully and with some pride in workmanship. I have had a running list of projects that we just haven't gotten around to. I decided to give Handyman Heroes a try. Jobs include: replacing our center courtyard roof (corrugated panels), cleaning our dryer vent, and reinforcing/sealing spalling concrete around our foundation piers. Vince, the project manager, came first to assess everything and provide the estimate. Super nice guy, knows his stuff. Samuel and Juan came to work the first day to replace the roof, then Samuel finished the other jobs. Just 3 days total. He is going to come back to do some light painting later this week. What I appreciate: Everyone is so nice to work with. Samuel and Juan were efficient, pleasant, and left everything spotless after they finished. Cecilia and Tania work in the office and are incredibly responsive when scheduling and answering questions. The invoice, when it came, was detailed and the charges transparent.
