Contacted Jose for a few small projects (replace a backdoor metal gate, replace the 3 step backyard staircase and repainting of the wood garage door after reviewing other reviews. Jose agreed to meet to provide an estimate but did not show up on the agreed upon time. I had to text Jose as he must have forgotten our appointment and agreed to show up later in the day. We agreed on the price for the projects and I also asked him to fill out the W9 form for our accountant. Jose agreed that he will have the W9 form at the start of the project. However, when the project started, there was no W9 form and he kept saying that he will have it by the end of the project. When the project was completed 3 1/2 days later, Jose still did not have the completed W9 form even though I have paid Jose in full for the work that was completed. It has now been 3 weeks and I still have not received the W9 from Jose even though I have tried to contact Jose almost every day and Jose will not even respond to my text or phone calls. I "DO NOT RECOMMEND" J E Carpentry & Handy Man for any projects as I do not think he is ethical as he does not want to provide me with the provided W9 form even though he agreed to it from the start. read more
