Absolutely terrible experience. I purchased a used car there and THE SAME DAY, IT BROKE DOWN. I took it back Monday (closed on sundays) and they said it was something to do with the battery. I have a good understanding of cars and i work on them frequently so i knew this wasn't the problem. So they "fixed" it. And it had the same problems. So the person who sold it to me told me to just replace the battery like i didn't just drop x ammount of money on the car. The engine codes were cleared before they sold it to me because when they "fixed" the battery, it resest the computer and the codes popped back up. Fortunately for me, there was parts IN THE TRUNK, obviously indicating something was wrong so i replaced the MAF sensor and it cleared all 3 engine codes but now the transmission is messing up and they said to my face "we cant help you" read more

Took my Dodge Ram in for the airbag recall service and I would think that after they fixed the airbag my airbag light would go off but its still coming on . I called the service dept and they said its not their problem ,that the airbag light was on before I brought my vehicle in for service so its not their problem to fix outside the scope of the recall. read more

Overall negative experience because although they fixed the original problem with the factory wheels of my 2013 Jeep Wrangler, they did not fix or advise us of the underlying cause. The result was a costly visit to another dealer in another state. When I discussed possible reimbursement with the Tech and Service Manager, the Tech was downright defensive that he was trying to save us money on the original visit. The Service Manager and General Manager never bothered to call me back. Save yourself some trouble and double check all repairs before you leave the Bay Chrysler Jeep Dodge facility to ensure they are complete, safe, and to your satisfaction. read more

Have just returned from my second visit. We we getting ready to leave for a road trip and Royce, as always, was very helpful and accommodating. He was able to get us in on a Thursday afternoon, get the oil change, tire rotation, balance and alignment done in just a couple of hours, last minute notice!! My review is based on my personal "sales" experience. After thoroughly researching my purchase at various in and out of state dealerships, knowing the value of my trade, and showing up with my own financing, I decided against my better judgement to attempt to buy local. I had failed in all previous attempts and let's face it, the reviews are horrible. It reminds me of the saying, "it must be true, I read it on the internet." I was already mentally prepared to buy in Orlando or Tennessee. I had the bottom line set to go, but was delayed by one day and found myself with a spare window of time. So, I thought I would validate my decesion to go elsewhere and see how the local dealership felt about matching other offers. My experience was the absolute opposite of everything I read online. From the greeting, I got right to the point, presenting other vehicles in consideration with supporting documentation. I Identified my trade and value, set a price and told them to earn my business the new vehicle price must be within 500.00 of my other offers (know the real value not what you want). Within 15 minutes, the Sales Manager introduced himself and had the used car folks look at my vehicle. We agreed on a price within 45 minutes of arriving at the dealership. I was driving away in 1.5 - 2.0 hours (including cleaning out my vehicle). I gave them a chance to beat my credit union preapproval and they did. The entire process was hassle free with open lines of communication. A quick business transaction. My vehicle was clean and delivered with a full tank of gas. I applaud the local guys, Scott/Sales, Ryan/Sales Manager, and Wayne/Finance. You earned my business and I appreciate your straight forward honesty and professionalism. I am sad to say I am very unhappy with bay chrysler. I had my crossfire towed there because it was not starting and when it got there and I told them what was wrong, it sat all weekend and when they went to bring it in, it started right up. They then made me pick it up and I parked it after driving it 20 min it wouldn't start again. After I told them they need to fix it, they said they can't fix it if nothin is wrong. I showed up at 7:10 for an 7:30 supposed appointment. After waiting until 7:30, they told me they couldn't do the software recall until a tech was available from other appointments. Took my 2012 Ram in for recall. Service was fine and my Service writer Heather was friendly and very professional. My Complaint is with the company not supplying its waiting customers with a decent WiFi for those of us that need to work while waiting instead of sitting and listening to a screaming TV. I ask the Service Mgr Dustin why the WiFi was so bad, and he said he wasn't aware of the problem. Used Care Sales I wish I could rate them lower than one star. I was looking for a beater truck for work around the house. I came to an agreement of $2500 plus tax, title and trade contingent on a good review by my mechanic. All was good and I paid $75 for the checkout. When my paperwork comes back from Bay they want $3800. After checking with the tax collectors office I find that "tax, title and tag" costs $560. I offer $3200 (as I was told the total would be) and they said no. The manager has no say as the completely rude and indifferent owner rejected the offer. But that was not good enough. The owner squarely looks me in the face while he commands the manager to "wholesale the truck". I'm not sure but I think that is salesman speak for "F.O." I have purchased 4 trucks from Panama City, FL Bay Dodge. Paid cash for all vehicles. They are by far the worst dealership I have ever encountered. They severely lack honesty, customer service, and service is even worse for repairs!! You would think after the loyalty and money we have spent there that they would treat us fairly on honestly, well they don't. My 2008 Dodge had to have a new lifter just months after purchase, then the entire back glass had to be replaced because it leaked. Of course the lifter tap was never repaired properly, the back glass still leaks to this day!! They also wanted to charge me 200.00 to repair a broken tailgate latch. They took it in and looked at it and told me it was BROKEN!! Well, my muffler guy fixed that for FREE because it was not broken at all, it had actually just detached and needed to be reconnected. I have all that evidence on paper, and when trying to get a meeting with the owner who also has a side job as a county commissioner, I just get the same run around. The way I see it is that crooks never want to show their faces!! I will never spend another dime on a dodge in Bay County, FL!! Mark my words they are crooks, they haven't honored one warranty on any of our vehicles and of course like an idiot I bought into their extended warranties. They weazle their way out of everything. Just watching their commercials make me sick as their owner tries to convey he is an honest Christian who can be trusted with our hard earned money!!! HA! read more

Have to say that my appointment experience with Bay Dodge in Panama City did NOT exceed my expectations. As per our emails, I arrived promptly at 9 a.m.. I was quickly asked if I could be helped and directed to wait for the service advisor. I waited at his booth. When I got to speak with him, he couldn't find anything about me and had no idea I was coming. I then showed him our emails on my Iphone. He didn't have a clue. I mentioned that I had a 9 a.m. appointment and was told the work would take two hours. He said, "Yes, two hours once the technician starts." I then asked did he have an estimate as to when the technician would start. He replied he didn't have any idea. I then asked to just give me some idea, "Before 8 p.m.? He then stated, "When you have an appointment with a doctor, you just wait until the doctor can see you." "I don't have a technician just waiting on you." "We close at 5:30 pm.." I was super unimpressed with this kind of attitude. I got the impression that he frankly could care less how or when the work got done. I decided on the spot that life was to short deal with someone like this and said I would just get it done somewhere else and left. He replied, "Well, you are the one walking away." I blocked out half a day for this work, based on the information I was provided. I drove 27 miles to get to Bay Dodge plus another 27 miles home. Had I been told that everything was first come, first serve I would have been there thirty minutes before you opened. Had I know this could be an all day affair, I would have planned for it by towing my Mazda Miata behind the RV and not just stuck there until some undetermined time that would end at 5:30 p.m.. Worst car dealership I have ever dealt with. Todd our salesman sold an unsafe vehicle that was on recall due to defective airbag. We had to wait over a week to pick up vehicle as it was supposedly being repaired from recall. We had vehicle for 1 week that my child drove. Darryl called a week later to ask us to return car said was not suppose to be sold as correct airbag was unobtainable and car was not safe to drive. So glad my child was not in an accident during that time. Salesman said oh sign waiver that you know airbag is defective and let your child keep the car !! Really ??? There were other things that happened as well. I drove to Tallahassee and received top notch professional service. Do not recommend this dealership. Doesn't deserve even 1 star... read more

We recently had a hurricane and these folks are talking advantage of people and price gouging. I should of learned the first time not to go back after I purchased a car from them. I went to get new tires mounted on my car and was told $25 a tire for a total of $100 which I was fine with. 10-15 minutes later Melissa comes out and tells me that I'm jumping from 245-35/18 from 255/40/18 which I was AWARE of. I knew it would work, which is why I bought the tires in the first place. She said since I'm jumping sizes that it would be more than $100. I said okay and played along because I knew something was up. I'm waiting and waiting and finally my car is done. Before I paid, I asked again... "Why am I being charged extra again?" She said for the hour worth of labor which I was there for 2 hours. I paid and walked to my car to call and report them to the price gouging hotline. She seen me sitting in my car on the phone and I asked the employees who mounted my tires and they even told me not to pay it. She seen me talking to them and interrupted me and said she was sorry and kept telling me a bunch of lies. Now I been here for almost 3 hours and they needed a boss to verify something and he goes "All of this for $90?" All of their employees are unprofessional, but are a professional at ripping people off. read more

I took my 1500 Dodge RAM to have the engine diagnosed because it just started running a little rough. When I dropped it off I told them that the previous owner had put diesel in it and fouled the catalytic converters so he had cut them out. I told them that it still ran fine for the past few years since I bought it but only recently had trouble and I asked them if they could check the engine. He said yes and they charged me 1.1 hours of labor and $156 for an oil change and diagnostic that simply told me that they could not analyze the engine because the sensors were not working because the catalytic converters had been cut out. When I complained the service man argued with me and said that they did what I asked for. I told him that they just told me what I told them and charged me $120 but he didn't care. I told him that I was a repeat customer who had bought two vehicles from Bay Auto but that he just lost me as a customer and I was planning on trading the truck in over the summer. He didn't care and told me as simply said "that is your choice." read more

This place is a joke! About 15 times taking it in, 4 months and calling Detroit Michigan to many times. They finally fixed the sliding doors and front paint that was bubbling. Detroit had them replace the back breaks as a curtsy and when we picked it up they did not look like new brakes! I worked at a shop before. They ripped Detroit off! Now we take it in for an oil change at 36,175 mile. 175 miles over warranty and they say the front differential needs replaced. Really they didn't see this last time we had our oil changed? We are taking it else where to see if they are just trying to scam us! The only reason we took it there this time is because the only other dealership is 100 miles away! Looks like we will have to drive 100 miles from now on! Not taking any more chances with these idiots!!!! Don't go there!!! They will charge you for stuff they didn't even do! Let me first start with saying, my wife and I have purchased our last 5 vehicles from Bay Dodge and have been pleased with the sales process. That being said, as far as the service department goes, it is middle of the road at best. Now, for the meat and potatoes. Last week my truck (2014 Ram 1500) was involved in an accident with damage to the front bumper, grill, and hood. Arrangements were made to drop my truck off Monday for repairs. There was very little interaction between myself and the body repair shop, however, the estimate and repairs happened quickly which was very pleasing. I have made several call to the dealership over the course of this week with questions I needed answers to. This only resulted in have my blood pressure elevated due to the unprofessional personnel who answer the phones. The receptionist who receives incoming calls, seem to be frustrated every time someone calls; very impolite. The first time I called, I was transferred to the body shop were someone picked up the phone and said "hello". I wasn't sure if I was talking to Billy Bob or someone who actually worked there. It turns out that he did actually work there. I spent 22 years in the military and find it very difficult to deal with unprofessionalism in the business world. There is no room for this type of attitude and if Mr. Gainer and his management staff values the business, they will correct this problem. I will pick my truck up from Bay Dodge today and it will be the last time I visit their establishment. read more

Do yourself a favor and push your Dodge past this dealership to the nearest gas station. You will be treated with more respect and your car will be handled with more care. My first service resulted in oil being spilled all over the engine compartment and nose. No attempt was made to even wipe the oil off until I pointed it out to the attendant. I was asked by the new service manager to give them another chance. I did and this time there was no oil spilled on the car, but the "mechanic" decided it was okay to work on my car without covering the fenders. I left with grind marks and spider webbing all over the finish of the driver's side fender where he rubbed his pants button or belt buckle up and down the fender. If they cant even change oil without causing issues, can you imagine serious repairs?!?!? Seriously, push your car past this place. You and your Dodge will be better off in the end. read more

First of all I would give this dealership 0 stars if I could. Never I repeat never buy a car from here! I have bought two cars before from car dealerships and I have never came in contact with just sneaky people. I was mislead I was taken advantage of I was lied to and I was tricked. On top of all that the car salesmen forgot to give me my Id back and there was no navigation chip in my car and I live over and hour away so he was supposed to send it to me. I texted Tim my car salesmen everyday for almost three weeks to get my id sent to me and everyday he told me he sent it the day after I bought the car. It took him three weeks before he finally admitted that it had not even been sent. It has been over a month since I have bought the car and I still do not have my navigation chip that is supposibly in the mail. My car salesmen tricked me into thinking I was getting the deal that we had agreed on the deal I signed on in the buyers order but when we got to financing and he knew I was in a rush to get to work he changed everything out from under me! He made me think I could trust him because we he already agreed on everything so I signed on it. And now come to find out he ripped me off 4000$!!! They told me they will no longer speak with me about the matter and they told me that there is nothing they will do about it and not only have they been rude and insulting but they have also yelled at me over the phone. This is hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. When the sales manager called me he referred to what was going on as "buyers remorse" in no way was this buyers remorse this was getting ripped off remorse!! I will make sure everyone knows what kind of place this is and they will never get business from anyone I come into contact with and I can assure them that. read more

This is the worst service department that I've ever been too. This was my second (and hopefully last) time going back to this place only because the next closest authorized dealership that covers the warranty is in Mariana, which I will really consider next time. My problem was a malfunctioning center display/radio. For starters, if you get put on voicemail don't bother so much as leaving a number, cause they won't call back. Troubleshooting consisted of them trying, over the course of three hours to do a system update that kept failing. After that didn't fix the problem, they had to order a new display/radio to replace the one acting up in the vehicle. After a week and a half with the info to order a new radio they call me back, saying that my paperwork was mixed up in a pile and that they needed some more info to order the replacement. Oh and guess how I found out the new radio was in? When they migrated my Sirius XM subscription to the new radio, deactivating the old radio, but didn't bother to inform me. I had to find out by calling XM and asking why I was no longer receiving channels. To summarize, this place isn't even worth getting the parts replaced for free. read more
