This review is for Dr. Craig Jackson, although , I have to say my husband and I REALLY are impressed by the professionalism demonstrated at Bay Clinic. My husband was fortunate to be able to start with Dr. Jackson about 5-6 months ago. Our introductory appointment was very impressive. My husband has very serious medical concerns and we felt great when we left the clinic. Dr. Jackson was very thorough and used great eye contact, including with myself the entire appointment. He listened to all our concerns and areas where we felt close monitoring was important. He made a point of asking us our opinion in different areas. He included us in the plan of care for my husband and emphasized that we are important in all part of his care and any treatment is decided by us and what we feel we need is important to him as a provider . This place does not care about you they are just out for money. They do not care. I now understand why almost everyone i know hates this place. The clinic manager talks over you and doesn't listen. She is power hungry as well. She needs a lot of training. But then again that goes for the rest of the clinic. They give shoddy service at best. If you care about your health or your child's health, go to another clinic. I would give this a 0 but I have to do at least one star. read more

I don't leave reviews often but I just have to say that Alyssa Dr Bankuru's MA and Dr Bankuru himself have been a total lifesaver for my dad and I. I am going through a horrible process of getting my dad proper care in a Memory care facility and the staff at the care facility said most doctors take weeks to respond to requests and Alyssa is always prompt and has literally been the only easy part of this processs. Okay so they have gotten a bad rep in the past, but they are getting more doctors and nurses in and are making an incredible change. If it wasn't for Dr Bryce Inman who knows where I would be today. He was not going to let me leave until I was taken to Portland for emergency surgery. His nurses, Julia and a very new one, ( I wished I would have remembered her name) were so professional and spot on with their knowledge that I felt for once, I was being heard. Dr Anderson charged my insurance company, over $1500, for my Son's once-a-year physical. There shouldn't have been a co-pay, and yet they are hounding me for this payment despite me explaining this. I spend over 200$ per month, just for his insurance. So, the Dr spends less than one hour with my son, while I'm a single mom, a disabled vet, and I can't get Oregon to collect child support. When I moved to Coos Bay and took all my medical info to them, I was told that they would "pass it around" to see if any doctor would accept me. What??? I waited for a couple of months before I was told that one of the doctors accepted me as a patient. Great! However, anything I need other that an office visit or blood draw, I'm sent over to North Bend Medical Clinic. Several times the prescription renewal requests were either ignored or written wrong. Unacceptable. They have no online ability to pay a bill or contact your doctor and no plan to do so. They do have a nice parking lot, though. read more

We recently moved to Coos Bay; a move necessitated by the need to be closer to my aged and fragile parents. And I am disappointed to witness **repeated** disinterested care for my aged mother from this clinic. Some examples: When my mothers' primary healthcare provider is off duty (typically every Friday afternoon) *no one* covers. Instead, for clarifying questions or for a significant yet non emergent need, the patient is expected to seek care at an Urgent Care clinic or the Emergency Department, or wait and suffer -- abandonment that unnecessarily increases patient anxiety. In one recent instance **on a non-Friday weekday about/before noon** the phones for my mother's physician were simply turned off (reported by the call center operator). Patients could not access the office at all for the remainder of the day. **At minimum, an outgoing voice message (VM) instructing patients re service options would be expected**. My mother has repeatedly stated she feels as if the disinterested service she receives is due to her age. And while I would love to disagree with her perception, I too, wonder if she's not correct. She was hospitalized for four days recently due to an internal bleed. Upon discharge she was told imaging studies were needed. However, she was out of the hospital nearly a week and the imaging wasn't scheduled.    Her doctors office maintained the order was sent to imaging and the imaging department declared they'd not received the order. And she was getting weaker. I worried that If the problem wasn't identified quickly and treatment begun, she's be back in the hospital. And I hoped she won't fall first (due to her weakened state) and suffer a fatal injury! After several phone calls and a VM left, I was told the Imaging order was sent to Bay Area Hospital (BAH) which is a different entity. BAH neglected to schedule the imaging until I contacted the doctors office (the second time we've called them!), who then followed up with BAH imaging to arrange an appointment. At this writing we're awaiting the imaging results. And we're waiting on the lab results drawn six days ago that will indicate the gravity of her bleeding -- a wait that is just another example of the dispassionate, indifferent care she receives. read more

Waste of time. I was told Bay Clinic's internests were accepting New patients. I filled out all their paperwork, gave them all my records. I kept calling and calling for an appointment. Then I was told the doctors read new patients records in between patients! Ridiculous. I never did get a call back. When I made my last call to them, I was told they weren't going to take me as a patient. There is nothing out of the the ordinary wrong with me and I have excellent ins. What kind of medical clinic is this? I have never heard of a clinic's doctors picking and choosing new patients, or reading their medical records prior to seeing them. And I am a RN. read more

I have been taking my kids here since we moved here in 2009. I love all the pediatricians and how well they work together. My PCP is also here in internal medicine and have always received excellent service from the moment i check in to being seen by my Dr. I have seen some of the bad reviews others have written but I say it's all about attitude and personalities. Some people will clash and some will get along great. Overall it's about the doctors doing what's best for us as patients, even if we don't always like what they have to say. Not everything in life is going to be sugar coated, sometimes you just need to hear the blunt truth especially when it comes to your health. read more

I don't think I've ever felt so alienated and looked down upon in my life, and as a poor disabled gay woman, that's saying something! They just genuinely do not seem to care about or have any desire to actually help their patients. I don't know if they have just become too jaded from overwork or if it's discrimination or what, but the way I was treated with absolute disdain each time I've been there has been extremely crushing. Between being denied referrals to specialists and snide comments about both my body and my financial situation, I would never go back here. And judging by the other reviews, I'm not alone in this feeling. Please don't go here. I know the doctor market is slim pickings around here and you have to make compromises, but try your hardest to get a doctor elsewhere, please. read more

My daughters see Dr. Toledo as their pediatrician. Excellent physician with a wonderful bedside manner. Actually, all of the pediatricians are excellent. We love Bay Clinic! Much better than the alternatives in town. read more

I just moved here from Idaho and I had a difficult time finding a doctor, which kind of explains all of the negative reviews for this place. It seems like there is a shortage of doctors here because they're not paid as much, thus leaving most people in the medical field overworked and underpaid. This in turn causes a lot of angry nurses/doctors/receptionist, which is felt by the public. I'm not defending the behavior that a lot of people have complained about, but I did notice how difficult it was for me to even find anyone accepting patients in the Coos Bay area. I eventually found Dr. Maslona, and although I had to wait for about 5 weeks to get in I really have no complaints about how I was treated during my appointments. I got the help that I needed and I'm just grateful that I was able to get him to take me on as a patient. I don't have any serious health conditions, so the treatment I received was good enough for me. Maslona seems nice and took the time to talk to me about my concerns. The nurses/receptionist seemed friendly enough and helped when I called after my appointment. They didn't talk much and seemed a little on edge, but there was probably around 8-10 people in the waiting room when I arrived for each of my appointments. Overall this has been a decent place for me, I will continue going here and I appreciate the care I've received. read more

Dr Groth was my OB doctor, and he was simply AMAZING. My family and S/O loved him as much as I did. He was always very knowledgeable, any question we had never went unanswered. With my high anxiety during my pregnancy and labor he was the only person to make me feel calm. His receptionist at the time was Katie, and I personally loved her as well. If I have any more children I will be going back to Dr Groth and I highly recommend him! read more

One word....terrible. The experiences I've had there with one doctor in particular, Dr. Frank, have been bad beyond belief. She has messed up my medication and recently left me flat with none, refusing to refill my prescription. My pharmacy tried calling for over a three week period and received no response at all. When I called the office they said their policy is no refills without an appointment, which I know is the rule, and they said the pharmacy should have informed me. I asked how the pharmacy could have told me if they never even heard back from them. They blamed me as well. A doctor alway gives one more refill and informs the pharmacy you need to call your doctor. Instead, I was left with no medication at all. Fortunately I have back up or this would've been a catastrophe. The Medical Center has some new doctors now that are accepting new patients. Go there and avoid this place!! read more

Has been an adequate experience with the doctors so far but the appt. people for the internal medicine department are awful! Four out of five times I have had to call back because they never called when they said they would to make an appt or a referral appt. Two out of three times they made a mistake on the date of my appt. And a couple times they changed the date of my appt without telling me. I have never encountered such bad customer service from a department before. Please work on your skills in this area! read more

I appreciate the fact that the doctors we have had have respected our decision to cease vaccinations. I am not sure if it's still that way, but I. I am a new patient to Bay Clinic. All the staff are wonderful I haven't had any of the problems that others complain of. Allison was really helpful with a problem I had been having in less then 24 hours she was on the phone explaining everything. It is so nice to be treated like a person instead of being stereotyped. The "Dr" at Bay Clinic hurt me on purpose to prove I was only after pain meds. I was there for a referral to a specialist, not drugs. I was assigned to Craig Jackson by my ins co. I was assured he was accepting new Tricare patients. I went in and tried to get set up as a new patient. The first woman I spoke to at the front desk snapped at me, stating that they do accept ins assignments and the Dr would have to personally approve of me. Also, that it would take a minimum of 14 business days for him to decide. He refused to treat me. The 3rd Dr in a row who was "accepting new Tricare clients" to deny me in Coos County. The woman at the counter in internal medicine took pity on me and searched until some random Dr agreed to see me. I went in for severe knee pain. The man who treated me was obviously not happy about seeing me. After he asked me what I was doing for pain he muttered, "well the next step is narcotic pain killers, and we can't have you abusing those." Excuse me?! Then, to prove nothing was wrong with me and I was just a dirty druggie, he sat me on the table, grabbed my left foot w one hand, put his other hand on my knee, and quickly shoved my knee into my chest!!!! I shrieked in pain and grabbed the table hard enough I snapped off two fingernails. Thank god he let go when I yelped in pain. I HAVE NEVER HAD A DR HURT ME ON PURPOSE BEFORE, and that is exactly what happened here. He judged me a drug seeker and purposely hurt me to prove how right he was. I guess my screaming in pain and sobbing wasn't the response he wanted. "Get off the table," he snapped. He said he was referring me to an orthopedist, that I had probably torn the meniscus of my knee. He instructed me to follow him, when I got to the door of the appointment room he pointed at the exit and said "That's the exit." Then walked off. WOW. Just wow. I will never go here again. If I wasn't injured before, I am now! His behaviour was totally unacceptable and highly unprofessional. He was rude, he handled me very roughly, and then pretty much kicked me out. I have been a patient at this clinic for many years but the treatment I have received from them lately has left me totally disgusted! I will stay home and die before I EVER have anything to do with this place again!! I honestly do not know how they stay in business! I think it is very sad that people think that just because we live in a small town we deserve less. I am also disgusted with Bay Clinic. I brought my son in for his well child exam and shots, and was told that our insurance would cover everything. This was not the case and I was billed almost $600 for a routine check up and immunizations! When I called to complain, they took no responsibility for giving me the wrong information when I made the appointment and threatened to send the bill to collections. Best they could offer was a payment plan. If you use Bay Clinic, check with your insurance company yourself. DO NOT RELY on office staff for correct information. read more

We just recently moved up here from Southern California three months ago and have tried to obtain medical care as we have great medical coverage. I applied at Bay Clinic, L.L.P. as well as my wife and was accepted by a doctor Craig Jackson as my primary care provider. I am permanently disabled as well as my wife. Oddly enough, I was accepted at this clinic for medical care and my wife wasn't with the explanation that she had too many prior surgeries although not suffering any effects from them other than normal pain but a very healthy woman and was still turned down. Well,anyway, I just would like to say I have found in my two visits that Dr. Jackson is the most out of touch doctor with patients that one can imagine-very lacking of a bedside manner, very non-compassionate, very arrogant and very full of himself. Traits that are not appealing for anybody especially someone in the medical field I am appalled with his treatment of me and my wife who visited the office with me today. He would not grant me a disability permit as I am disabled and it hurts to walk long distances and all he told me to do was walk more. Well, I will keep him as my provider on paper until I get my new application filled out with a place in North Bend named Waterfall Community Health Center, where my wife was accepted anyway. Then, once processed, I shall have the pleasure of releasing, i.e., FIRING him. It's no mystery why Bay Clinic gets bad reviews. My 89 yr old mother, a Holocaust Survivor, was been seeing Dr. Morgan for a few years for her chronic cough/allergies. She was doing great, healthy, feeling better. Dr. Morgan retired, she was never notified. James Tracy, DO took his place. My mother has age related issues, and others from her experience during the Holocaust, that would exacerbate her health if she followed the new rules this new DO created for his office. I am an RN, 38 yrs, trained in the emergency room. I asked to sign a waver, to accommodate my mother, she deserves to be treated well. I spoke to the office manager, she said she would get back to me, she never did. I received a letter today stating James Tracy, DO refuses to treat my mother, asking her not to return. Refusing care to a 89 year old woman. I am afraid to tell her...... Great way to establish a new practice. I don't know where he came from, but this is not how the medical community treat patients in this town! read more

I have been trying to get an appointment at Bay Clinic for three weeks. I filled out the medical history paper work. Bay Clinic said they would get my medical records from my last doctor. I had to call Bay Clinic twice. Bay clinic said they haven't received my medical records. My last doctor said they sent them. Bay Clinic didn't follow up with me or my last doctor. Terrible customer service. I was in the ER over the weekend and told I urgently needed to get into a general Dr urgently after I left so I called Bay Clinic hoping to find one. I was told I absolutely cannot make an appointment without picking up paperwork to fill out, I said I am very sick can you please fax it? Took two days to get the fax from them even though I explained I really need to know if you will be able to get me in anytime soon or I need to look for someone else and they still couldn't help expedite this. I faxed paper work back and was told I would be on an urgent list and did not hear from anyone by 4:30 Friday afternoon (I first called on Monday) so I called to ask what was going on with my paper work and if anyone had any idea whatsoever if I would be able to get in anytime soon and I was told that my paperwork was being circulated to different doctors to see who could take it... I had written clear as day on my paperwork what doctor I had requested. My insurance said this doctor was accepting new patients. I was told he couldn't take me but they couldn't have called to tell me that even with knowing I was trying to get into someone so soon? We get it- we are all busy but it shouldn't take over 2 days to just call me after all of my follow up and being ignored and just let me know I cannot have that doctor for some reason even though he is accepting new patients? I've heard so many bad things from the community about this clinic and wanted to try it anyway but end the end I am glad they didn't get me in, I will be driving out of town to Reedsport where my local doctor friends say to go! read more
