Had to take hubby to the ER on a Saturday afternoon for severe prostate problems…read more Wait time: 10 minutes. Nurses and Doctors were super helpful and friendly. Hubby went home with a catheter until he sees a urologist. Fun times ahead.

The hospital is great for imaging and overnight stays if your doctor uses them for surgery…read more The ER however is a completely different story. I took my daughter in for severe pain and vomiting. We waited for 9.5 hours to be told a cyst on her ovary had ruptured. This could have been a life or death situation. My second experience I was brought in the ambulance with a broken ankle. They all gathered around me for about 10 minutes. Then left for awhile. 1 nurse walked in told me others would be coming in to splint me if I needed pain killers to let them know. I'm balling the entire time they splint my leg. My husband asks the nurse to give me pain meds which never happened. When I was about ready to be released I had to ask f I was going to see a doctor at all and another nurse said that's me I'm the nurse practitioner. She only said 3 sentences to me the entire time I was there. My husband and I were in shock. They told me it was a clean break go home call the orthopedic department and get an appointment. I did for 2.5 weeks later. Everyone pushed me to go somewhere else. After 2 more different opinions. I have 2 breaks, a tendon that needs repair and my whole ankle is crooked. They did not splint it properly which would be as close to 90 degrees as you can get. I need a screw and wire in one bone that broke clean off. And screws and a plate on the other. If not my ankle can become dislocated and could need amputation. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Bandon ER is better than this ER. This is where the ambulance took me, I should have asked for Coquille. I'm giving it a 2 star because the imaging department is great and overnights are great as well. No issues there. Nurse Practitioners should NOT be in the ER period!!!

It is not an exaggeration to say that Dr. Kim Foster helped to give me my life - AND my body -…read moreback. For years I had been struggling with severe stomach bloating and weight gain despite eating moderately and overall eating a very healthy, organic, gluten-free, Paleo-based diet. Every doctor I saw completely dismissed my symptoms - and my deep concern regarding the fact that I could hardly recognize myself anymore (I had gained a great deal of weight in the space of a few years, and my knees were so strained I could no longer participate in adult ballet classes anymore). One provider casually told me to "Take Tums" after I carefully explained some odd digestive distress I was experiencing - NOT helpful, to say the least. I knew at this point that mainstream medicine would be of no use to me at all when it came to this severe bloating I was experiencing. I found Dr. Foster via a google search. After visiting her in person and her running some comprehensive, cutting-edge tests, she confirmed what I had suspected: I was suffering from a severe case of stomach inflammation and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), among other things. This, I realize now, was likely a result of a dying gallbladder that was interfering with my digestive processes, which I have since had taken out. After prescribing a thoughtful blend of herbal and pharmaceutical treatments, the bloating slowly began to recede over a period of two months and the weight began to come off. 6 months after seeing Dr. Foster for the first time, I am 34 pounds lighter and my stomach is flat for the first time in 10 years. I was able to resume my ballet classes and in many ways, at the post-menopausal age of 61, I truly do feel re-born. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Foster and her team, and cannot thank them enough for providing an alternative pathway to healing.

I appreciate how she is willing to partner with me in my health care and respects my needs and wishes. She is professional, knowledgeable in how the body works together (helpful in treating the root cause of health issues) and in various diagnostic tests, those tests that are gold standards and others that may be beneficial, but not necessarily mainstream. She is caring and thoroughly explains treatment options. Dr. Kim is sensitive to patient costs when considering treatment options. I followed a protocol she recommended for me and my health has greatly benefited, even keeping me from having to take recommended prescription medications.

I called the LAB on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the man in that Dept. said the LAB would be open for blood tests on Friday after T-Giving from 7-noon. I showed up in freezing temperatures, only to be told that the LAB WAS CLOSED on Friday, but would be open 7-noon on Saturday. I called on Saturday before going there, and was told NO, the LAB was closed on Saturday to all outpatients. Since my blood tests require fasting, I went ahead and made breakfast. Later, I got a call from Tina, the person I had spoken with earlier, who told me she found out the LAB was indeed open to outpatients until noon! But that news came too late for me, since I had already eaten. FOR GOD'S SAKE! THIS HOSPITAL IS TOO SMALL TO HAVE SUCH HORRIBLE MISCOMMUNICATION PROBLEMS! I'm just one person, but 3 miscommunications over 3 consecutive business days = COMPLETE CLOWN SHOW!!! This problem needs to get fixed and stat! Thanks for ruining my travel plans for the long weekend!

She never introduced herself or did any AIDET. (Acknowledge, Introduce, duration, explanation, thank you) Dr. Natalie Jones asked her to do orthostatic vitals. I am a nurse and so I know that orthostatic vitals are vitals done lying, sitting and then standing 5 minutes apart. The nurse? did them less than 1 minute apart. The doctor came back in, in less than 5 minutes and said her orthostatic vitals were negative. Really? Are you sure about that? How can you be sure since they were done incorrectly? And made a diagnosis based on an exam that was performed wrong and didn't even catch the fact that it should have been at least 15 minutes to do that test. Highly disappointed.
