I'm so glad this place has opened up just a few blocks from our home! Great wine selection and I love that you can drink in store (with $5 corkage). With that, and the snack selection, it reminds me a bit of the Trappist but with an emphasis on wine. I love that they are starting to offer community wine education to take a little bit of the snobbery out of the affair (though, don't get me wrong, I kind of dig the snobbery). I absolutely love this place! Such a novel idea for a wine store...you can grab a bottle to go or you can sit down at the countertop and enjoy it! Wonderful ambiance, great selection of wines and the owner Stevie is lovely. I came here a few Fridays ago with a friend and we hung out for an hour or so, drank a bottle of red and snacked on crackers and goat cheese. It was the perfect evening! They have a small but fantastic selection of cheeses/meats and some of the best gluten-free crackers I've ever had. Everyone who works here is very friendly and engaging. It was very unfortunate that we were racially profiled by this establishment. On our Friday night, having a date night, we choose this establishment to have a drink afterwards but they crafted a dramatic scene chasing a friend of ours up their stairs because they couldn't be up there, because "important things are up there" but he was just looking for the bathroom. They chased him up and made him go down, created a scene, and then told our friends to leave. When they were just lost. They saw brown folk and thought what are they trying to do upstairs and rushed to us. If he was doing something he wasn't suppose to do, TALK TO US, don't run up and make a scene and then kick us out. RACIST ASS ESTABLISHMENT. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. They didn't try to even communicate with us about the misunderstanding. I will never spend my money here. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. Fuck y'all! The worse part people of color profiling us... I went to here for the first time a few days ago for an office party. Wow there's a big scene that means up here everyday after work. They have a little record player at the top of the bar, and they get quite a happy hour crew. I'm not sure if they actually have any happy hour prices or by the glass prices. Holy awesome of stuffs this place is...well...awesome. Upon entering you'll find that it's atmosphere is that of a non-pretentious french country home with copper accents (and a copper-top bar!), exposed piping, flowers everywhere, and awesome artwork le walls (that's French for "the walls"). Terrific non-douchey ambiance with completely terrific folks behind the counter. The owners are both young, knowledgable, and extremely personable folks that are there to please. Josiah was super warm, helped us looked for an awesome white, and even poured us a glass of Riesling while we perused their wine selection. Being super impressed we sat down for a tasting and Stevie mostly took care of us at this juncture. I have to add an awesome note here, my beautiful belle can't drink too much of the red flavors (#sulfitesProbsYo) so we decided to split a tasting, and Stevie still dropped two glasses in front of us...and still poured an extremely generous amount. Josiah came around for our second wine and again, poured a generous amount. Overall I gots to say, this place won in all aspects in my book: neat, friendly, non-douchetastic, warm (synonymous with friendly I know, but this is my review so you'll have to endure), and super knowledgable folks. Oh oh oh oh...they're pet & BICYCLE friendly...which is freaking fantastic. Yeah...they totally have a bike rack inside the joint WITH a bike pump for you...that's class people. 10/10 would come here on a date again, 10/10 would just come to hangout again, 10/10 would get sloshed here, 10/10 give it another 10/10. Popped in yesterday and what a wonderful experience! I'd been eyeing the paper-covered windows for awhile, wondering what exactly "Bay Grape" would be. Well, it's definitely a wine shop (but also more!). Nicely organized wine by "weight" to encourage you to try unknown varietals similar to varietals you know you like. I like sauvignon blanc and came home with a lovely muscadet (which otherwise i would have avoided, fearing a similarity to muscato). Granted, my choice was also made with the help of the lovely co-owner Stevie. So charming, helpful and KNOWLEDGEABLE! They have all the white wines available chilled and charge a $5 corkage if you want to stay and visit. There is a selection of wrapped cheeses and sausages. They also have craft beer and sodas. You can relax in the nice seating area where they'll also be engaging in a variety of educational programs - set tastings and deeper delves. They have a calendar posted. I found the prices reasonable and there is a nice range that doesn't require you to break the bank. It's a really nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

They do exactly what they set out to do: create a totally accessible, easygoing wine shopping/tasting experience. I came for the sherry class, and the server was knowledgeable, accessible, and gave just the right amount of information and alone time to savor the experience. When trying to be this easygoing, and accessible - with vinyl playing, and the dog with its bed in the corner and the big branch with the moss on the wall - it could risk going to far, but it doesn't. Friendly owners and staff and great customer service keep things right on track. Oh, and the tastings were very well selected. I haven't purchased a bottle yet, but based on my experience there, I have no doubt they'd give you an excellent recommendation - or you'd probably enjoy anything off the self. read more

Bright & open but still feels cozy, a huge variety of reasonably priced/amazing wines, the friendly and knowledgeable staff that welcome you every single time and give amazing suggestions/guidance, and no trace of pretentiousness to be found. The feel of the inside is great, it makes you want to sit and enjoy a glass there. The $5 corkage fee feels totally reasonable given the overall value, and if there's non wine drinkers in tow, the beer and cider doesn't come with a fee to enjoy on site.
