So far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I'll update this review once I actually get my car back. It's been nearly 4 months with no updates, call backs, nothing on the status of my vehicle. It was towed in for a national recall but to this date we have not received one update or any information about what they are actually doing to the vehicle. I discovered that the vehicle set on their lot for nearly a month because the previous service advisor failed to assign it to a technician. I've call numerous times about the status of the vehicle and always get the same response , " your service advisor is busy and will call you back". They have never called me back. The online chat is a joke. Same issue, we will have someone call you back. Never has happened. They have never once offered us a rental and we are going on 4 months without a vehicle. This has cost us thousands of dollars in additional expenses. The vehicle had 58k miles on it for goodness sake. Apparently Hyundai cannot stand behind their vehicles. It's almost laughable at this point. I understand if a motor replacement is required under the recall that takes time but we have no idea what is being done since no one has spoken to us expect one time to tell us they failed to assign it to a technician I'll update this review once I receive any updates but I don't have any confidence that this dealership will let us know. read more

Drove one hour to drop a 2026 Palisade that was purchased for some recall repairs. I had an appointment scheduled for 9:30 am, dropped the car off shortly after 9:00 am. At 2:00 pm, I had not heard back from this dealership so I called to get a status update on the repair. I was put on and after about ten minutes of being on hold, I told my wife we just going to pick up the vehicle. During the entire drive back to the dealership I remained on hold and nobody ever came back. Upon arriving at the dealership, I hung up the phone and went in to get an update. The customer service rep said it had just been taken back for repairs. I said I had an appointment at 9:30 am and the car was here before that. The customer service rep said the appointment was just a time to check the car in with them and had no bearing on when the car would be worked on. I told the customer service rep that was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. I said when you make an appointment with a doctor you expect to be seen within a reasonable time of the appointment. I asked the service rep if he would be upset if had a 9:30 am doctors appointment and waited until 3:00 pm to get in. No answer. I asked how long the repairs would take and they couldn't provide an estimated time. The repairs were recall items. They know the issue a know the required repair. They are all national recalls, so I know my vehicle couldn't be the first to repaired. Yet they have no idea how long it takes. What a joke. If I've done something once, I have a pretty good idea how long it will take to do it again. So bottom line, I waste an entire day and still did not get the recall items addressed. If you are a person that values service after the sale, I would avoid this dealership at all costs. I wish I had read some reviews before purchasing a vehicle from them. read more

We purchased my son's first vehicle from Bay Hyundai on November 15. My son is a college student who spent years saving every dollar he had to buy this car. This purchase wiped out his entire savings. At first, everything seemed great. The sales process was smooth and quick, and Bernie was attentive and helpful as we selected a 2022 Hyundai Elantra. That goodwill disappeared almost immediately. On my son's very next drive, the car began shaking violently when braking over 50 mph, a serious safety concern. He contacted the dealership right away and was told it would be taken care of, only to be given an appointment three weeks later. When he finally brought the car in, he was charged over $400 for repairs to a problem that clearly existed before the purchase. At that point, the salesperson passed responsibility to the manager, Jeremy. Despite multiple attempts, we never received a call back or any follow-up from management. We were given the runaround and forced to pay out of pocket. This was incredibly discouraging for a college student who trusted the dealership and had already spent all of his savings. Had this issue been discovered before the sale was completed, it undoubtedly would have been fixed to close the deal. To this day, no one from Bay Hyundai has taken responsibility or even followed up. We were not looking for handouts, just basic fairness and accountability. Buyer beware, and inspect everything carefully before purchasing from this dealership. read more

My daughter car had been in for engine light being on! The car had been there for 3 WEEkS, with no update or personal work on it! When she call, 2 plus weeks ago, they had 169 cars in for repairs or whatever the cars might need, but 4 technician ! If the car is good for 10 years or 100000 miles, why do they have so many Hyundai in for repairs!!!!don't buy or use this dealership! I even call and left a message, 4 days ago, do you think someone return my call! NOT! Horrible service at it best! You're been warn, about the horrible Service and poor leadership! I recently visited Bay Hyundai Service for an oil change and also requested a transmission service. When I arrived, I was quoted for both services and told it would take around three hours. I left my vehicle and returned after the estimated time expecting the work to be completed. Instead, I was told they couldn't perform the transmission service because it was a "sealed unit" and supposedly never needs servicing. When I explained that I was requesting the service because I noticed some hesitation in how the vehicle was shifting, the service representative brushed it off and told me his wife's car does the same thing and "there's nothing you can do about it." That response was both dismissive and unprofessional. After I questioned the validity of the "sealed unit" claim, the rep contacted the parts department--who contradicted his story, provided a price, and said they didn't have the two types of fluid needed in stock. When I pointed out the inconsistent information and noted that the pricing he now gave me was different from what I was quoted initially, he then claimed he wasn't the one who originally checked me in. Frustrated by the back-and-forth, I asked to speak with the service manager. I explained my concerns about the conflicting explanations and overall lack of clarity. The manager attempted to backtrack and said the service could be done after all and offered to schedule it. At that point, I had lost confidence in their ability to perform the job correctly and declined. To make matters worse, no one contacted me during the three-hour wait to inform me that the requested service could not be completed. I had to track down the representative myself just to get an update--only to find out that only the oil change was done, and even that took the full three hours. In the end, I left with serious concerns about the service department's knowledge, communication, and overall professionalism. I won't be returning, and I would caution others to think twice before trusting this location with their vehicle. read more

When scheduling my service appointment for a recall on my new vehicle plus a software update, the service advisor assured me that the part was in and my appointment would take 2-2.5 hrs to fix. I made the appointment, drove over an hour only to be told they don't have the parts in any longer because other vehicles needed it and they would have to order more for my car. AND I will need to reschedule to make another 2-2.5hr appointment. Complete waste of time and care for the customer. Not to mention having to take time off work for the wasted appointment, gas and time. If this is how service will be going forward, I will NOT recommend getting a vehicle from Bay Hyundai in Panama City, FL. read more

Bay Hyundai in Panama City was the worst shopping experience we have ever had. We looked at a couple vehicles on their website, read all the info about the vehicles and decided we would visit the dealership to see them in person. So after driving 2 1/2 hours to visit the dealership to see these vehicles we were very disappointed to find out they were both previously owned by heavy smokers and reeked of cigarettes. The interior trim work was all worn out and the vehicles were only 2 years old and had less than 45k miles on them. I feel these issues should have been disclosed on their website before we drove 2 1/2 hours and wasted most of our day to visit the dealership to view subpar vehicles. This dealership is very shady with a serious lack of transparency and questionable ethical practices. I would suggest anyone in the market for a vehicle stay far away from Bay Hyundai. read more

This is my second year coming here for a problem with my 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid (visiting from IL). Brian in Service is absolutely amazing and the staff when you first pull in to is always so kind. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. And they have drinks and snacks for you while you're waiting. Totally recommend. read more

Took our car to get serviced they said to leave the car and they would give us a call FOR SURE by the end of the day to let us know what the diagnostic was and if it would get fixed that day or not.... We wait and wait no call and when we call back at 6 we are told everyone's gone for the day and since it's Friday we have to wait until Monday to find out anything about the car after being told other wise. read more
