Wow this place is amazing for kids up to 10 It's gotta huge set of slides with platforms that are safe. Rubber mats cover everything. The bonus is the water park part. So nice for toddlers.

Bay Park is a little Oasis in Rockaway NY. On a nice day you can walk along a Pier and snap pics of the lake and boats. It's a small "park" (I didn't get a park feel) but there is also a playground equipped with one full basketball court. They host children's Summer Camps. Beau-ti-ful views. The End.

Definitely my niece Favorite park of all time. Lol. It's always looking spotless and so cute. It has so many sections and age appropriate jungle gyms for every age. The water park is one of her favorite sections in the summertime. We have been blessed that its wide enough to truly enjoy even with a bunch of other kids there

Nice place for the kiddies. Plenty of swings, jungle gym, water sprinklers and more. Located next to a golf course and right on the water. If you have younger children there is lots of fun to be had.

Nice park, but the smell from the sewage plant and the burning fumes coming from the plant make it hard to stay for too long.

Nestled deep within East Rockaway, Bay Park - Hewlett Harbor, Lynbrook area. It has a small playground, pool and beachy areas. Not too big, but not to small, just right for a peaceful walk on a sun shining kind of day. It's just before the season really opens, so still quiet enough to take it all in. In past summers I know this location to host Town of Hempstead Music in the park evening event(s). Its an easy beautiful sandy area where you park your beach chair and listen to the mellow sound of the ocean waves behind you as the musical sounds of joy face and embrace you. :) Can't wait till the season really starts and I can enjoy a local park like this even more. Maybe I even bring my kayak down and ask to push myself off from their shore. :)

Lifeguards at the pool were on POINT. they were great. Pool got a little busy but nowhere near as busy as other TOH pools, which we loved! And the beach part had TONS of room. I'm going to go back alone just to lay out and tan because it's so pleasantly quiet !! We are hewlett residents so we paid $5.50 (kiddos under 10 were $2.75!) it might be slightly more for TOH residents who live outside of east rock or Hewlett, but not by much. If you're not a TOH resident make sure you go with someone who is otherwise the cost is $30. No rafts allowed in the pool area (even floaties) but the pool only goes up to about 6 feet. We had a couple non-swimmer kids with us and they had a blast in the low end. There's also a really cute kiddie pool/splash pad area for the younger ones! I can't believe I didn't know about this gem sooner! It was wonderful. Small, easy parking, easy to get around. There is apparently food on-site but I don't think it was open when we were there so we just headed to Lazy Lobster for fish and chips after our day at the beachpool (the term I coined for this amazing spot!) Cannot wait to go back!!

We played doubles, and my partner and I won the game against the other two players. Points are scored only when the serving team wins a rally, and I am a good server. I learned fast how to make the ball hit the court in front the blue line, which is known as the kitchen. Elvis, the head coach, was thorough in his explanation of the fundamentals of the game. We practiced our skills with our peers, getting feedback from the coach that was assigned to our court. There was a coach for each of the eight courts, and each court had four players. I learned the rules of the game and how to score. The goal is to keep the ball out of the kitchen. You can only volley outside the kitchen. The class lasted approximately two hours, and we all had fun. I will definitely be back to take more classes. Go to "Hempsteadny.gov keyword: pickleball lessons" if you are interested in learning this highly popular game. ADVISORY: Coach Elvis said that classes registered for online usually fill up within 15 minutes, and summer registration begins on 6/3/2025.

Coming from LA, where beaches are almost always packed this was such a nice change of scenery. The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to just slow down and enjoy my walk .I also loved seeing so many people biking along the boardwalk it definitely inspired me to bring my bike next time it was a simple but memorable experience, and I'm already looking forward to going back.

You can rent beach umbrellas and chairs, which is super convenient. The rental stand only takes cash. We rented one umbrella and one chair and it was $45. The beach is very clean, with fine grain sand. They have green flags posted, which indicate designated areas where you can swim. Lifeguards are on duty. There are seagulls and other birds that hang around, but they won't bother you, even if you're eating. They will eat food that's left unattended and out in the open. Police rovers patrol the beach so I think rowdiness is discouraged. One party next to us was playing music on a speaker, but otherwise it was fairly quiet, except for the crashing waves of course. Lots of free nearby parking, but I imagine it fills up quickly on busy days.

The current was rushing with the winds direction and even the gulls could not compensate to pick out the hunks of Italian bread we frisbee-ed in, Lord how they tried. Two distinguishing tall gated areas - being under 30 pounds and to the left, the over 30 pounded which is a wide range but the park didn't set up for excessive headlong running, so high impact mid park collisions seemed to not be likely. The cutest senior Beagle approached me as I let Phil go and greet which he wanted no part of and it wasn't registering as to why. My further entry in was all on hold, the Beagles eyes never left mine as I lovingly stroked him. But Phil was having issues with two puffed out electrified cotton balls with paws that yipped and yapped in his mug without letting up. His owner was engaged in chit chat, not realizie that his dogs are about to get turned and twisted inside out any moment. In point of fact, just about no dog owners were looking at anything but themselves, so it was about to pop, I could feel it, Phil liked nothing about this park, so we went for the exit. The release knob allows for easy access in, horrible access out and my 6'2 long armed frame struggled to get the release knob pulled because it's on the entrance side. Of course the guy with the puff balls from hell comes right up to the gate in an attempt to leave at the same moment! Clearly a covid dog owner - no sense of potential problems no concept of other peoples dogs and there are just so many of you out there now. And after I managed to get the hell away from there, I spun around to see the sweetest thing, the senior beagle followed me out of the two gates and into the parking lot. His owner was very sweet and collected that love dog. Gosh, that little fellow really made my day and I'll reflect upon him often, but the park -- and the owners -- I'll prefer to forget.
