I thought it was a bit high, but I had been out of NYC for 7 years and accepted it, and that included a tip. I next went in July, got pretty much the same (simple) haircut and that cost $41.57, again with a tip. Much more reasonable I THOUGHT. I went in October and was charged $66.69 without a tip! WTF? I didn't go there to get SCALPED! Guess you won't miss 3 visits a year.

By the end of the haircut, he had trimmed half of my hair off, front and back, killing the volume I had and gave me a high fade which I never asked for. My hair is now completely flat with no waves, super short where it looks like a military buzz, and the back of my head is now all the same length despite me asking for layering. I'm going to have to wear a cap for the next 2 months. It looks like a cheap haircut you can get anywhere for $15 instead of the $50 I paid. Completely amateurish and fraudulent. How does the barbershop even vet their hires? Incredibly deceiving and under qualified to label themselves as "master barbers" on their website. Do not recommend and do NOT let their video marketing on social media fool you. Get away especially if you're getting ready for an event, a date, weddings, interviews, etc. A salon with licensed stylists will do you better.

The results were ok--not bad, but not at the same level as Yuriy's work. The third time, Yuriy again didn't show up, and one of the other 2 barbers called him. Yuriy was apologetic, and asked me to come back the following day at a specific time, which I did, but once again he didn't show, and after waiting around for 15 minutes, I left. I don't mind trying different barbers, but once I found a barber I like I prefer to stick to him. if I book a specific person and they repeatedly fail to honor appointments, it feels unprofessional and unreliable. At that point, there's no reason for me to keep booking here when I could just walk into another shop. It's unfortunate, because Yuriy is truly very good. But unless the booking system and reliability improve, I can't recommend this barbershop if you want a specific barber to cut your hair.

I decided to try this place out one day because it was new and I was getting frustrated with the barber I was going to. Man am I glad I walked into this place! Boris and Sal flat out know how to cut hair. I have been going to them every two weeks since. Never a long wait since they both know what they are doing, and you'll never have to worry about a BS cell phone/lunch break like at so many other barber shops where the guys act like prima donnas. Great haircuts, excellent customer service, extremely chill and relaxed environment, they have my business for life, I won't go anywhere else! read more

Boris and Sal are two great barbers. I wouldn't get my hair cut anywhere else in Bay Ridge. At $12 a cut, you can't beat the price in Brooklyn. They have a sick TV too. I originally found them because they're so close to the R train by the Bay Ridge Avenue stop. Last time I went, I even took some shots with the barbers. These guys have become my friends. read more

They offer quick, friendly, and masterful service, and are also incredibly sensitive to Orthodox Jews and highly knowledgeable of the Jewish legal requirements for side burn length and width. Luck has it that there's a spot right in front There only one guy in the seat so I'm in the chair in ten minutes. The conversation has settled on health, with someone's mother being diagnosed with cancer. So we proceed to chat about alternative medicine. The barber, whose name I find out later, is Igor. He is quite knowledgeable and I remark about the wisdom found in the old barber shop. We cover a lot of information and Igor proceeds to give me a great haircut. I'm a few minutes like around 3 the place is packed with folks coming in. The conversation switches to the war in Ukraine. Most of the people are from Belorussia. Not fans of Mr Putin one bit. Delightful experience. Talking about intermittent fasting and supplements ends the visit. I'm invited back every week by the owner just to chat and impart knowledge. Great time believe it or not on a barber shop!!
