I would give this place 10 stars if it was possible! Despite the proximity to the Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown area, this place really is a destination all on its own. The pictures online absolutely do NOT do it justice. Our family of 3 (2 adults and a teenager) spent EIGHT days at this B&B and the location was beyond expectation! This place is a nature lover's dream. We listened to red wing blackbirds, cardinals, and great crested flycatchers sing to us from the trees. A Momma turkey brought her line of tiny babies out to walk across the yard several days in a row. Little boxed turtles scuttled across the yard. Deer popped in and out, frolicking around the property throughout the day. We watched a bald eagle sit in the tree nearby. Fish would jump in the water, herons would dive in and kayakers and small fishing boats went floating by. The pool was beautiful and immaculately kept. We stayed in the two bedroom Roosevelt retreat. It was beautiful! Beds were incredibly comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. The shower had cascading upper showerheads and mid level jets (similar to a high end luxury spa I once visited in Arizona). There was a jetted tub, luxurious shower products, comfy robes and slippers. Rooms were made every day and we were left mints on our pillows. What we loved even more than the beautiful location was the owners themselves. Paige and Mark felt like family by the end of our stay (the kind of family you LIKE to spend time with). They were incredibly generous, thoughtful, and kind. We found ourselves lingering over breakfast with them because they were just such lovely people. They made suggestions on restaurants (including the half price fish and chips!), places to see, things to maybe avoid. Watching them in the kitchen was like having a personal chef for an amazing breakfast every single morning. Everything from eggs benedict, breakfast quesadillas to a traditional English breakfast - never the same thing twice. On our last day, Mark asked our son if he had any special requests and our son opted for a second round of Frank Sinatra's favorite breakfast sandwich (who knew - but it was AMAZING!). They even wrapped up our leftover breakfast food each day so we could snack on it later. They offered hot coffee and orange juice every morning. We also had access to coffee, tea and various tasty snacks throughout the day. I ate way too many yummy brownies and cookies, and my son inhaled Paige's banana muffins. She even made an extra batch so he could take some home on the day we left. This was Southern hospitality and high class luxury at it's finest. Everything about this place was top notch. It was actually HARD to leave because we loved Paige and Mark and their little slice of heaven so much. I cannot recommend this place enough!! read more

We visited with two of our adult sons to celebrate one of their military accomplishments. The Manor is so beautiful! Everything was perfectly in place, and the four of us were extremely comfortable for our entire stay. The views are fantastic! The outdoor areas are lovely to enjoy, and the hospitality is warm, fun, and very engaging. Paige and Mark are phenomenal hosts, and the food was the best we've ever had at a bed-and-breakfast establishment. Their recommendations for (lunch and dinner) restaurants were spot on! By far, one of the best stays I've had in Virginia! The hosts made my family and I feel at home and welcome to their beautiful estate. The estate is incredible with an amazing waterfront view and a warm fire pit on the water's edge. Additionally, the bedrooms were spacious, clean and extremely comfortable! Breakfast was amazing and our compliments to the chef! The hosts provided wonderful recommendations for evening dinners and activities/site seeing locations in the local area. 5 reasons why I would recommend everyone I know to stay at Bay Tree Manor: 1. Location, Location, Location.... We were looking for a place right on the bay with a dock with a private resort like experience in a b&b.... We didn't think it was possible or it existed, but it does and the views won't disappoint. 2. Hospitality... Paige and Mark are wonderful hosts. They truly care about their guests and getting to know you. They make you feel like family. 3. Upgraded amenities.... They haven't skipped the quality on anything. From the plush beds that make you want to never get out of bed, to the sea salts for the bath and the plush towels and toiletries. You find the quality you don't always find at 5 star hotels. 4. Food.... We stayed two nights and our breakfast both days was delicious! There was so much food we skipped lunch both days! 5. Perfect place if you just want to get away from it all. We took full advantage of everything they had to offer. We went crabbing from the pier, took the kayaks out and laid by the pool. We have stayed at over 10 b&bs and this was by far our favorite. We travel a lot and you can't beat the views from the rooms and the hospitality you will get here. Way to set the bar high!!!! Looking forward to our next stay! read more

My family and I stayed here this past July for a weeks vacation. We were so glad we did. The room was amazing. After a long drive from Rhode Island the bed was exactly what we needed. So comfortable that I think we feel asleep as soon as we hit the mattress. The view of the sunrise out our window was breathtaking. Pool and dock outside was perfect. Breakfast was one of our favorite parts of the stay. Each breakfast was enormous and they accommodated our vegetarian diet. The frank Sinatra egg sandwich Mark cooked was delicious! Paige made really delicious baked apple and yogurt sides to go along with the breakfast. And the coffee was just as good as the food. We enjoyed great conversations with Mark and Paige and hope to go back again soon.! A beautiful location,beautiful house, great company and excellent food. Can't go wrong with that combination. This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and I'm not sure if any others will ever match up. We were greeted by Paige who was warm and friendly... I felt like I had just arrived at an old friends house. She was welcoming and hospitable. Moments after were arrived we had a drink in our hand and a delicious appetizer on its way. The bed was very comfortable and the view was amazing! Peace and quiet... I could have stayed here for days. Breakfast was delicious! I was stuffed but kept on eating because it was so good. Bay Tree Manor - A breathtaking view... I could sit here for days! - Bed & Breakfast Near Me - Seaford, Virginia

My husband and I stayed at the Bay Tree Manor in May 2014 for just one night. We were visiting family who live less than a mile from the inn, but that particular weekend they had no room so we decided to try the B&B instead of a hotel in Yorktown. We LOVED it and highly recommend for anyone that will be in the Seaford / Yorktown area instead of staying at a hotel. I am a very fussy traveler and can sometimes drive my husband crazy. I tote along my tempur pedic pillow and a ton of other stuff just so I'll be comfortable. Well, I forgot it all for this trip and as it turned out - didn't need it. The basics first: the rooms are outstanding. Yes, they are decorated nicely and the size is good. That's nice, but what I really wanted was a comfortable bed where I would get a great nights sleep. Check. We stayed in the Sarah Kate room which has a king sized bed - not too soft, not too hard. The pillows were perfect and the sheets were oh so soft. I got a great nights sleep, which means hubby did too. Breakfast was a culinary treat and Mark did a wonderful job in preparing and entertaining all at the same time. We were served crepes with strawberries and bananas to start followed by Eggs Benedict (ala' Mark), country salted bacon (done perfectly) along with a cheesy potato bake. I can't do the breakfast justice here, suffice it to say that everything was delicious and I held back licking my plate - just barely. The main room contains the dining and kitchen area so while our hosts were putting the finishing touches on our meal we were all able to chat and admire the lovely view. A nice way to begin the day. Mark and Paige are the perfect couple to own and operate a B&B. Both make you feel right at home without going overboard. We have already decided that it's more comfortable to stay at the B&B than with our family who live less than a mile from the inn. So while we love them we'll be staying at the Bay Tree Manor from now on! read more

This was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had at a bed & breakfast. First off, location. It is right on the bay so the views and the sunrises were heavenly. Second, my room. Beautiful and comfortable with a direct view of the bay and sunrises from a large window. Beautiful roomy private bathroom - new and up to date (I have been to many B&Bs where that is one of the biggest drawbacks) chocolates, water, nice lotions and bath salts. The room was immaculate, cozy and furnished and decorated beautifully. Third: the breakfasts were different each day, LARGE and not what you would expect. Original dishes like his own twist on eggs Benedict and German potato cakes. And each breakfast came with a hand prepared desert. I never needed lunch while I was there. They also offer wine in the evenings. And fourth: and probably the best feature were the host/owners. They treated me like a royal honored guest. I felt like I was visiting dear friends. Wonderful conversations in the mornings over breakfast and in the evenings. I felt sad to leave and even though I live over 3000 miles away I will try very very very hard to return. We had our wedding party stay at Baytree for our wedding weekend and we could not be happier that we did! First, Paige and Mark are very friendly hosts, they waited for us to arrive on the first night to share a glass of wine! Throughout the weekend they were hospitable, attentive to our needs, and let us enjoy the premises. On that note, the house and property is absolutely stunning. There are kayaks which you can use to paddle out to the Chesapeake Bay. The rooms are luxurious with amazing views. The pool is nice and warms up well in the summer. Also, Paige makes the most delicious breakfast. We also held a brunch for around 50 of our guests at Baytree the morning after the wedding, which went wonderfully. The Baytree experience helped to create the wedding weekend and post wedding brunch of our dreams. read more

My wife and I recently stayed at the Bay Tree Manor or our Anniversary. We only stayed for one night but wished we had stayed longer. The food was great, the hosts were very friendly/accommodating, the rooms were very clean, and the view was beautiful. Our highlight was being able to sit in the hot tub all while enjoying the view of the bay. We have stayed at several higher-end B&B's and this one ranks near the top. We have had WONDERFUL experiences both times my husband and I have visited (summer and fall). Paige and Mark are fantastic hosts who really go above and beyond to make your stay special. They provide gourmet breakfasts that are so large, you are full until the delicious happy hour snacks they provide! Paige even had champagne and cupcakes waiting in our room for my husband's birthday! The rooms are very nice-clean, comfortable, with great views. We chose this area because it was close to Virginia Beach and Williamsburg, but the on-site amenities were so nice we actually spent more time at Bay Tree and never went to Virginia Beach (you can take their kayaks out into the bay to a little sandy island for a private beach experience!). And they have an amazing pool :) They really treat you like family and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a refreshing getaway. read more

What an unexpected treat to find this gem! We prefer B&B's over hotels any day and have been to different inns throughout the Southeastern US. Paige and Mark's home was extremely welcoming and felt like going over to a friend's home for cocktail hour and appetizers, deciding which restaurant to go to for dinner with their tried and true recommendations, and settling in to a night of rest in the best mattress I can remember (and we sleep in a very expensive Sleep Number at home). Added treat the second night after dinner was watching Youtube videos with Mark and Paige laughing until we turned in for the night. Mark is a contractor, and the home is well constructed with large windows in the gathering room to capture the wonderful scenic water views, private rooms with equally impressive views and details, and grounds and large pavilion that obviously would suit weddings and gatherings. Our two breakfasts were incredible, and plentiful. Let's call it a 4 course meal....no need for lunch later!! Stuffed french toast with fresh berry compote, baked frittata, hash brown casserole, millionaire bacon YUMMMY, and maple sausage. A definite must go for a weekend get away! read more

WOW, what a wonderful B&B! We stayed at the Bay Tree Manor in April 2014 for 3 nights. Mark & Paige were lovely hosts. They were so friendly, warm and inviting! When we arrived we were strangers but we left friends! The views are awesome. Mark did a wonderful job on remodeling this place to make it a B&B. Our room was a good size, the bed was really comfortable, and everything was nice and clean. Mark made really awesome breakfasts! The eggs benedict and crepes were wonderful! He made us a different breakfast every morning. He even catered to my husband's eating habits as well which are kind of on the simpler side. We even got to enjoy appetizers and drinks before going out in the evening. The grounds are really beautiful and the décor was luxurious but still quaint. They knew the best local places to go. We went to the seafood place they recommended twice. We had plenty to see in Yorktown, Jamestown, and Williamsburg. Being on the water like that is soooo relaxing! We are seriously thinking of getting away more often to the Bay Tree Manor. They also do weddings there which is ideal with the gorgeous views! It is like a little HAVEN! read more
