Wow their menu is huge! I got the Bella Nutella bowl with bee pollen and goji berries in a small bowl. The large bowl looked huge (if you have a big appetite or would share for two.) And it was so good! It was made so fast and it taste fresh. I love the music they were playing too. It has a nice seating area with a view of the outdoors, if people watching is your thing while eating. The bowl was just as aesthetically appealing and it was tasty. First time at Baya Bar because I walked by and wanted a smoothie. Ambiance is that of a typical juice bar with a nice photo op wall on the side. Service was quick. I ordered the Kale Smoothie and thought it was pretty fresh. It consisted of kale, banana, pineapple, coconut milk, apple juice, and honey. Baya Bar is a cute smoothie/juice bar on a competition-heavy block of Mulberry St-- we're talking about Ruby's and Matchaful and Beyond Sushi within steps of one another. However, their diverse menu and friendly staff keep me returning for more! I quite enjoy their bowls when I'm in the neighborhood and need an afternoon pick me up. I recently ordered their Copacabana Pitaya Bowl ($9) which came with sliced kiwis, diced pineapples, coconut flakes, and granola-- all of which were doused with a ton of honey. My biggest criticism is that the base of their bowls don't taste like much-- the pitaya smoothie itself was pretty tasteless and relied on the honey and granola for sweetness. All in all, not my favorite place to grab a smoothie bowl but it is very solid choice for the area. Note: Their granola contains tree nuts, but their offer a nut-free version made with hemp seeds. read more

I tried their acai bowl topped with strawberry, blueberry, coconut, granola and honey (I can't remember the name of it but it was one of the signature bowls). It was good, not too sweet and had a nice texture. I could tell the fruits weren't the freshest but it wasn't terrible. I have to say though, I definitely had better but it hits the spot when needed. I think it was because it wasn't as acai flavor forward as I'm used to? -- still very good though and would probably come back again. The thing I was most surprised about is that they give a lot less than many of the other acai places around relative to the overall taste, quality and price. The customer service was also ok- they didn't really know much when asked questions (a lot of idks) and seemed very tired/wanted to just go home. Which is totally understandable bc same lol (just wanted to note incase anyone is sensitive to customer service) I guess ultimately if they were a little more generous with the serving sizes, I would definitely rate this 5/5. read more

I am a bit of an acai obsessive and have pretty high standards when it comes to my bowls so I'm very excited to have found a place that meets my expectations for quality, taste, and price. I ordered a 12oz Acai Bowl and was pleasantly surprised by how THICK the base they use is. A common issue at most acai or smoothie bowl shops is how thin and watery the acai they use is, resulting in a liquid mess that melts all too quickly. The acai they use here is thick and does not melt fast at all, holding its form well to provide a very pleasant experience with toppings. Prices are very fair at $9-$10 for 12oz bowls or a little more for the bigger size. I also love how they allow you to make substitutions or add ons! My bowl was properly thick and the fruit tasted nice and fresh. For $10, this is one of the best deals I've found in the city to cure my acai craving AND the base is excellently THICC... wow I love it. The workers are super chill here too. Compared to playa bowls this place takes second place. there's something about playa bowls peanut butter and granola (it's a lot more allergy friendly) that just hits the spot. Picked up an acai bowl at the new shop on the Upper West Side - I think it was called the Ocean Pacific. VERY tasty. Better than the other local options (Playa) which I find very oversweetened.
