Chelsea Juice was SUCH a good find! I was really hankering for something refreshing before hopping on a place to come home. In the very small shop of Chelsea Juice, there seems to be a lot going on! I felt like they really emphasized clean eating/drinking. Plus, with all the juices, bowls, and smoothies, there is something for everyone! I ended up getting a Strawberry Sunrise smoothie. It had apple juice, strawberry, banana, and coconut cream. O-M-G!! This was out of this world delicious! It seemed very thick and almost creamy. It really put some pep in my step. The smoothie itself was $10. This felt a little pricey but honestly, it was so worth it. I'd pay $10 for any smoothie that was this good! The only thing that made me slightly sad was to see they're still using plastic straws. I do not recommend Chelsea Juice at 200 W 14th street location because the service was not pleasant. The guy seem not to care about catering to the need of the customer. On April 18th, I wasted money on an almond butter açai bowl that was too small for the price and not tasteful, it was okay. He did not give substitute options, as needed. For example, I could not eat the bananas and cocoa so I told him to remove that. I expected him to give me other options such as mangoes or other fruits to top it but he didn't. What comes with the açai bowl is strawberries and blueberries with granola on top. He did not even put blueberries on top. He said he forgot, then changed it and said he don't have it. He does not know his menu well. He could have gave me more strawberries. It look like he sliced one strawberry. I told him to at least give me little bit more of the almond butter. Overall the bowl did not look or feel fulfilling. Lastly but least, sanitation is important to prevent food poisoning. It does not look pleasant behind the counter. Repairs needs to happen. Run down areas and their food products need to be sealed. For example, he pulled out the almond butter bin from the refrigerator without a lid on and it looked very dried and hard around the rims, which shows anything can contaminate inside. I think this place is somewhat new and it has its pros and cons and can use some improvement. Pros: - good variety in offerings with a wide selection of different fruits, nut butters, etc. - five different açaí bowls (I know that is basically me saying "variety" again but it's a more specific case) - overall the açaí bowl was good in flavor with fresh quality fruit Cons - the açaí bowl wasn't fully blended. I got the peanut butter açaí bowl and one of the bases was frozen banana and there were huge frozen banana chunks still in the bowl. I don't think I've ever had this in any other açaí bowl before. - it's extremely loud in there. The worker was hammering frozen bananas down and while I can't totally fault him since I know it needs to be done/he has a job to do, it was not pleasant at all for a customer eating in store. The place wasn't busy at all (just me) so maybe would have been a good idea to wait until I was done? That said, it's a perfect location as I take the 2-3 out of the 14th station fairly regularly and I was actually disappointed in the lack of smoothie/açaí bowl offerings in this area. I'm sure I'll give it another shot at some point. read more

This smoothie shop opened about two weeks ago and I'm glad! There aren't many juice shops in the area so this is convenient. Their smoothies are great and truly filling. Went to this spot after we had a bad Acai bowl at our hotel and were looking for something to make up for it! Very yummy- the bowls are freshly whipped , we had the peanut butter ones which were very filling and tasted great! We will definitely come back .
