Was in the mood for a healthy lunch while in Staten Island. Ordered the Acai U Later Bowl fresh with pineapples, strawberries and granola, the Power Breakfast bowl and the Peppermint Foam Coffee. The Acai U Later was delicious, the Piwer Breakfast bowl ( oatmeal) was hearty and ate only half. The coffee was good not great, really didn't taste the peppermint. Came here with a friend to pick up some food before catching up! We were here a little after 6pm. The person taking our orders was really friendly and patient with us.. After ordering our bowls, we wanted to get a smoothie. I noticed the person looked a little frustrated. I apologized and they said it's okay but they are closing soon (7pm). Even so, they took our orders. 3 stars for the berry smoothie I got and the worker! The Pacific Beach bowl (size large, about $13) was aesthetically pleasing to look at but it was wayyy to sweet for me. Yoooo okay. I've never had an açaí bowl before so I'm not an EXPERT but I came here on a Sunday night with a friend who's had a bunch and we both loved our food. I went with the Koa Bowl (açaí + all the trimmings: granola, peanut butter, coconut flakes, and banana). My friend went with one of their kale bowls with similar toppings. They were $10 each which is such a steal to me. Dinner (or lunch) out for $10??? Ye$$ please. We didn't get smoothies or anything else but they looked great as well (and they sell bottled water and LA CROIX, meaning you don't have to leave the island to fulfill your hipster fantasies). I saw a sign that said they served cold brew which will be amaaaazin in the summer hunny. The service there is fast and friendly. The shop is small but big enough to seat a good amount of people. My friend and I opted to sit on the high tables by the front (for natural light, of course). The location is nice and convenient, on Hylan surrounded by a ton of other shops where you can get your other errands done and stop by for a quick/healthy meal. Baya Bar has a lovely atmosphere and delicious açaí/kale bowls (they also have papaya and coconut bowls but I haven't tried them...yet). There's a couple other places on SI you can get an açaí bowl; my friend said Baya Bar was better! If you're into it, I would definitely check it out soon. My new favorite spot on Staten Island. The menu is so extensive, with a vast array of combinations. It's like the Disney World of smoothies lol. I had the Pitaya bowl. I created my own with: blueberries, pineapples, strawberries and dried coconut flakes. The fruit was so fresh, it was absolutely delicious. My only complaint was the dried coconut; it was too sweet. Baya Bar has delicious açaí bowls!! I always get the Bella Nutella but I don't get the coconut shavings and I sub that with peanut butter. It is AMAZING! They put a great amount of Nutella/Peanut Butter and fruit and it's enough for a meal. They also have $5 bowl Monday from 1PM - 5PM for $5 bowls! I only wish the place was a little bigger because it's quite small and they only have about 6-7 seats in a bar area and no tables. read more

This place is so good! They make acai and pitaya fruit bowls, amongst other things like smoothies and shakes, and are as good as it gets. Not too expensive and absolutely love the Bella Nutella bowl. They are also really cool about modifying and making the bowls however you want. The picture I added is the Bella Nutella but with dragonfruit (Pitaya) instead of Acai. I usually order the coconutella, which is normally great. so, Postmates told me to contact Baya Bar which i did, i offered to send pictres and evencome there. then, this young lady completely ignored me and gave the phone to a man. this young man proceeded to tell me that there is absolutely nothing the can do about it. i . I paid almost $50.00 for basically coconut base and granola. The best Baya Bowl in my opinion is in Tottenville. The Baya Bowl on Hylan lost two customer who order multiple times per week for either personal (my fiancé and i), my family, and now my work. Thank you for all the help! I normally don't go into this shop But my friend told me to go and try their acai bowl. I was very disappointed because it tasted like water and I literally found an ice cube inside my bowl. This was my first time coming here. I've had DELICIOUS acai bowls before from other places so my expectations were high. Bomb number one...the acai was frozen--not fresh. Bomb number two.. Because the acai was SO COLD it actually made it difficult to eat because I kept getting brain freeze. Bomb number 3..the acai was EXTREMELY watery. So watery that as the acai was melting it was almost like I was drinking a watery fruit juice. All in all I probably will not be returning to this location and will give the Bay Ridge location a shot since there are so many great reviews. Very disappointed.
