I would give 5 stars because I loveeee the yogurt and toppings but today was a terrible experience. The young lady working the counter was rude and disrespectful. She made my friend and I very uncomfortable. Since there is no manager present I'm hoping this review might be helpful. Management needs to speak to this employee about not yelling at their customer across the room about where the garbage for the sample cups is (i was looking for it) but rather politely explain that it is on the counter not the ground. read more

I loved red mango when it first popped up. I hoped and hoped we would get a location in Staten Island. I got my wish but this location is not on par from other locations. It's also really pricy. I keep this only as a real treat when I'm craving something cold. It's healthier then ice cream and I like it better. I always get a little plain yogurt and pomegranate flavor with way to many toppings like carob, butterfinger and gummy bears. What can I say I'm young at heart. Small yogurt shop right next to Auntie Annie pretzels and Claires. Its usually really packed on busy days in the mall. Its pretty clean and they had some decent basic yogurt flavors. Nice little toppings to add also. I enjoy my yogurt and they even have a small seating area if its not taken up by shoppers. I enjoy there yogurt. read more

I love Red Mango! But I hate self serve. It kind of grosses me out. I also hate that they don't have smaller cups available. I can never gauge how much I'm taking and always end up taking too little or too much, I want it to be just right! My favorite flavor is the nutty potion, that stuff is ridiculous! I usually stay away from toppings because I don't know or trust whoever has had their hands in there. That nutty potion doesn't need any toppings though. So good. read more

What's up pompadours, Red Mango has some great yogurt and toppings except this one is seriously slacking on both. Come later then 5PM and something's bound to be missing. One night it was fruit, another night it was plaint tart yogurt. Another night it was containers. The workers were rudest girls I've ever had to encounter. Completely unprofessional. They were laughing and cursing while customers and children were around. One was yelling and cursing to the other about me ordering a smoothie. The "12th one in a row" she had to make. Sorry, but that's your job. She was a complete bitch while taking everyone's orders and I brushed that off cause it was the end of the day, but when she slammed a cup down on the counter that had what looks like scoops of thick smoothie with air pockets and not even coming close to 75% full I knew this girl screwed it up. I put a straw in it and it broke cause of the large, full size pieces of ice. Completely undrinkable! I don't know their lives or how busy their days were, but everything about my experience was unacceptable. read more

Tried some frozen chocolate and banana yogurt today with cookie dough, oreos, choc chips... NOT good at all. RM claims that everything there is natural and free of chemicals which if true is great, but damn it needs to taste good too. It was watery and the flavors were way off. The banana tasted too sweet and very artificial. The chocolate flavor wasn't chocolate enough. I walked about 10 feet from the store and threw it into the first garbage can I could find. I wouldn't go back. Makes me furious they took Mrs. Fields out of the mall for THIS!! read more

Ok. I'm really happy that there's a Red Mango on the island, because the second-rate froyo places around here just aren't cutting it. However, I'm just not a big fan of self-serve froyo because things get messy and it tends to be a turn off. I do understand though that self serve froyo is very popular everywhere. I guess I'm just a traditionalist since I remember the days when Red Mango and Pinkberry first came to the city and they served and topped everything FOR you. My issue with this Red Mango isn't the self-serve, it's the toppings. What I love about Red Mango is that they have unique and usually healthy toppings, not the generic cereals and sprinkles you see at other froyo places on the island, so I was really disappointed to find that this Red Mango just rolled with the demands of the area and gave a tiny selection of fruit and a huge selection of sugary crap toppings that I could buy at a deli. I guess I understand though since they need to stay in business and it's better to have a Red Mango on the island than to not have one at all. read more

Red mango is one of my favorite froyo places. I've been to I think three now. One in boston, one in the city and one in staten island. The one I went to in the city was right next to a pinkberry, literally, 2 stores down. That red mango was self serve and then they have a person standing there monitoring and cleaning and stuff. You can sample whatever you'd like (the cups are on top of the machines, or you ask for one). The one thing I didnt like about this particular red mango is that the little sample cups are hidden behind the counter and you have to ask, and they give you one! There is like 8 flavors, and when they change them from like 4 different ones than they had last time, you want to try them to see if you want to get a new flavor. I feel like it is unsanitary to use the same cup to try the flavors, but I am not going to go up and ask them for 4 cups after each one. They should either ask you how many or something. I just think its unsanitary I can see if they are trying to save money or something with the cups, but really? How much do they cost and how much is the business making? Make sure to ask for a red mango rewards card. read more
