Contacted owner multiple times, sent pictures of trees and their leaves which were brown and brittle. They initially said my neighbor poured bleach on them (not true, the other plantings I purchased from them and they planted in the exact same area, didn't die). Then they said I overwatered, which, also not true, leaves would have been yellow, not brown and brittle. All the while, the owner assured me and told me not to worry, they'll bloom come spring and they'll be beautiful. Now spring comes, 9 months later and nothing blooms. They said they offer a 3 month warranty, this is over 9 months. Reminded them that I told them that there were issues with these trees within the first two weeks of planting and was told all along, it's all good, not to worry. Their solution... come buy more trees and we'll split the cost. Filed a complaint with the BBB and sent a demand letter for my money back or I will file a small claims court action. A few telephone calls back and forth from them asking me to come and buy new trees, they'll split the cost with me, I, declined and ultimately, was hand delivered a check for the amount I requested in my demand letter.

They are open-air classrooms to our agricultural past, places to buy fresh produce and baked goods to support local family farm stores, and places for interesting special events and outings for families. Being the first Saturday after Labor Day, my partner and I got a head start on the apple cider donuts made fresh daily, just oozing with apple cidery goodness and never hot. Since 1973, located on Airmont Avenue in Mahwah, Secor Farms is a reminder of Bergen County's rural past and one of the last farms left in the area, passed down through three generations. Upon arrival in the afternoon, parking was not an issue with only a handful of vehicles. However, the farm comes alive starting Sept 15 with a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin picking, and a petting zoo where reservations are required, with all sorts of activities. Their outside garden centers had pumpkins, gourds, fall decorations, and mums for purchase. We went inside their marketplace full of produce and managed to get a bag of mixed apple cider donuts and a quart of apple cider. These baked donuts have the sweet tartness of apple cider with a coating of cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar. They were soft, moist, tender, and tastefully delicious. The price was reasonable. The staff was friendly. We can recommend this place.

One of the farmers has tons of apples. Surprise , its New York state- but they also have apple cider and cider donuts which you can get plain or sugared. It's best if you go to them when the market first opens. That's when they're actually close to warm and tasty. Otherwise it's just dry and no amount of apple cider is going to help. For entertainment, there's usually a couple of bus game musicians. The last time I went there was a saxophonist and what sounded like a Appalachian fiddling group. There was a vegetable vendor who had every type of vegetable and fruit at very reasonable prices. I think it's cash only so I was limited in what I could buy but the items I inquired about were very fresh and economical. Bread vendor: YUM! His table had artisanal breads, including wheat, raisin walnut, four kinds of stuffed bread, muffins, baguettes, breadsticks .... all poppin' fresh and less expensive than Whole Foods. Pickle vendor: His booth smelled great! Pickled beans, pickled cucumbers, etc. I am going back to see if he has pickled eggs (a habit I acquired in Central PA) Apple Cake Vendor - Looked delicious!! I wanted to try the Apple Rum Cake but didn't have enough cash. And something unusual! A vendor who specializes in Chocolate Covered Bacon and other tasty bacony treats!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it weren't so hot, I would have bought some to bring home but since I walked over, my treat would have melted immediately. The Farmers Market is small but sweet as of today. I got a notice from my Condo Management Company that the market was open from 11:30 am to 6 PM every Wednesday but the Bread Vendor said that he was there at 10 am. I would check it out if I were passing by.

In response, she shouted at me, "WHAT PROBLEM?!" in a manner that attracted the attention of everyone in the store. She later ordered me to "PAY UP" at checkout, which is an improper way to address a customer and a departure from the correct protocol of stating the total amount. When I voiced my concern about her rude behavior, she dismissed my professional concerns as a joke and offered no apology. I chose to cancel the transaction and leave the store. Her aggressive behavior continued over the phone when I requested to speak with a manager.  Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.
